Don’t expect any free snacks here. You have to buy them from a vending machine. The rooms are small and you have to share a TV with another person. If you smoke, bring your own cigarettes. And be ready to share them with others who will beg you for one every time you light up. The food is okay, but nothing special. The desserts are terrible. The TV room doesn’t have enough couches for everyone. The male staff don’t respect the privacy of the female patients. They barge into their rooms without knocking or announcing themselves. Don’t bring anything valuable here. It might get stolen and you won’t get it back. The patients come from all walks of life. Some are rich, some are poor, some are homeless. You might end up sharing a room with someone very different from you. The place is infested with cockroaches. Enough said. The worst part of this place is the therapist Sandra. She is supposed to help you find a place to go after detox, but she doesn’t do her job. She waits until the last minute to call the aftercare services, and sometimes she doesn’t even do that. She just sends you home without any support. She doesn’t care about you or your recovery. She is incompetent and unprofessional. She puts your life in danger. If you need help after detox, look elsewhere. Find a therapist who knows what they are doing, who acts fast, and who cares about you. Sandra is not that therapist. She is a failure. Recovery is hard, and you need a good therapist to help you. Don’t settle for less. Choose wisely
