To: whom it may concern. As someone who has been a loyal customer at your store at 17050 Van Buren blvd Riverside Ca. every 2 weeks or more for 23yrs, I have never experienced such rude, disrespectful disgusting disregard for a customers concerns! On Oct. 18th 2023 for the first time ever, I attempted to return 4 of 6 bottles of wine I'd purchased from Stater bros a few days earlier because the wine was spoiled. Upon speaking with 2 employees who identified as managers ( Michael and Tanner) refused the returns stating that California law does not allow alcohol returns, which I've sense found to be incorrect. Per there website (returns of spoiled, damaged, or otherwise unfit for consumption). They've went on to state that the bottles were open and Stater brothers also does not allow them to except open alcohol returns, which again I've found to be incorrect, per your website (Alcohol returns are on a case by case basis). Leaving me speechless, Michael pretty much went on to call me a lier, scammer, and a cheat, questioning why all the bottles were uncorked. How is one know the wine is spoiled unless they open and taste it? Now, either (Michael and Tanner) were ill-informed and grossly incompetent, or, they've made a judgment call, on me, with the case by case basis. Either way, I feel I've been disrespected and treated poorly, and finding it hard to justify spending my hard earned money at Stater brothers in the future.

From: A very dissatisfied customer.

Desired outcome: Management and employees must stop treating minorities who has legitimate reason for returning products as scammers or cheats.Stop the double standards when applying policy.
