STAY FAR AWAY FROM LOUIS A. BONI, SR! PRESENTLY, HE IS THE PRESIDENT OF LAB COMPANIES, INC, AND AFFILIATES HIMSELF WITH SLA-TUR CONSTRUCTION, WHOSE STATE CONTRACTOR LICENSE HE USES. MR. BONI, SR., DOES NOT HAVE A STATE CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE, SO HE HAS TO USE SOMEONE ELSE'S. WILLIAM SLADE, JR IS THE LICENSED CONTRACTOR; HOWEVER MR. SLADE DOES NOT OVERSEE ANY WORK UNDERTAKEN BY LOUIS A. BONI, SR. MR. BONI HAS DEFRAUDED NUMEROUS SOUTH FLORIDA HOMEOWNERS. THE LAWSUITS IN THE BROWARD AND PALM BEACH AREAS ARE MOUNTING AGAINST HIM. THE JUDGMENTS, FEDERAL AND STATE, ARE MOUNTING AGAINST HIM. THE STATE LICENSE OF MR. SLADE IS PENDING REVOCATION REVIEW, AND ADMINISTRATIVELY, THIS COULD TAKE A LONG TIME. A CRIMINAL CONVICTION WAS OBTAINED AGAINST MR. BONI, AND HE IS PRESENTLY SERVING PROBATION FOR ORGANIZED FRAUD. IF ONE LOOKED UP THE DEFINITION OF "CROOK" IN WEBSTER'S DICTIONARY, LOUIS A. BONI, SR. WOULD APPEAR. HE LIES, CHEATS AND STEALS. UNFORTUNATELY FOR THE UNSUSPECTING HOMEOWNER, THEY GET A DOUBLE HIT, WHEN THE UNPAID SUBCONTRACTORS SERVE THEM WITH NOTICE TO OWNERS THEN CONVERT THE NOTICES TO LIENS ON THEIR HOMES. THIS MAN BELONGS IN PRISON!
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPT OF BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL REGULATION! THIS PROMPTS THE STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE TO GO AFTER LOUIS A. BONI, SR AND WILLIAM SLADE CRIMINALLY. WHY SHOULD THESE CRIMINALS USE OUR HARD EARNED MONEY FOR THEIR PERSONAL GAIN? WE WORKED TOO HARD TO LET THEM GET AWAY AND RIP OFF MORE PEOPLE!

ALSO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPT. PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T LET THESE CRIMINALS CONTINUE TO RIP OFF PEOPLE WHO WORKED HARD TO FINANCE HOME IMPROVEMENTS! THESE GUYS DON'T DESERVE TO USE OUR MONEY FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL GAIN AND BELONG IN PRISON!
File charges against Lou Boni with Florida Dept. of Labor!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Sla Tur Construction, in Pompano Beach, is terrible.
They abandoned my job after taking $107, 000 of my money. They removed my personal property and won't return it. They got very few inspections done and they failed all but one of them. they continued on after failing the inspections so I have to pay another contractor to rip out what the work they did do. I also have to pay for all the work that wasn't finished, about $80, 000 additional.
I'm being sued by the sub contractors that Sla-tur never paid. Sla-Tur also has multiple judgments against them according to the Dunn and Bradstreet. I'm currently in the process of filing suit against them.
The license is in the name of William Slade, Jr. and the president of the company is Lou Boni. The company also uses the name Lab, Inc. and Alliance.
Stay far away from SLA-TUR CONSTRUCTION and LAB COMPANIES, INC, especially front man LOUIS A. BONI, SR! While Sla-tur may have one happy homeowner, there are countless lawsuits and judgments outstanding against them, which speak volumes. They fail to get permits, issue bad checks, don't pay their sub-contractors, fail inspections, fail to obtain inspections, and abandon work once the homeowner questions their progress. The State Licensing Board of Florida has the contractor's license under review for revocation, but since this is an Administrative Agency, it could take a while to shut them down and more innocent people can be "ripped off". PLEASE BEWARE!

I started to work for Lou Boni of Sla-Tur Construction in Sept 08. I was hired as a Carpenter at $20.00 per hour. As time went by, Mr. Boni asked me to do different
jobs for him that he was in charge of, in order to give him more time on the road. He had promised me a raise of an additional
$10.00 in 2 weeks for the extra responsibilities I had taken on. Two weeks came and went and he informed me he would have to hold off a little because things were “tight” at the moment and would I mind waiting a little bit. I agreed. He then asked me if I would accept the position of Site Supervisor, promising again the raise as soon as he straightened out things with his bank. I never received that raise, but stayed because Mr. Boni kept promising me higher positions and informed me the company was just in a temporary slump, etc.
Paychecks were supposed to be issued on Fridays but all of a sudden he would ask his employees, including myself, if we didn’t mind waiting until Monday as his own check hadn’t cleared yet. Then it became Tuesday, Wednesday etc. until they finally stopped.
At about the same time the work was getting less and less and I found myself sitting in the office fixing his computer system for him. This went on for a period of about 10 weeks. I was exasperated, he kept promising and promising. I was not alone in this situation. One of his office workers and his receptionist went through the same nightmare, all the while being promised the same things he had promised me! We all have families to feed, mortgages to pay, etc, and Mr Lou Boni did not seem to care as he drove around in his brand new truck and told us all about his weekend boating excursions. Finally, I left the company as did his office worker and receptionist(Word is he owes his own lawyer over $70, 000 and cannot pay that either.) Lou Boni agreed it would be the best thing for now and would call me back when things got better. No call ever came. He was still promising to pay me back my salary. Still no salary to date. More than 1 ½ yrs has gone by, and Mr. Boni will not take my calls anymore.
The icing on the cake of my story is this: Lou Boni himself asked ME to loan HIM $1500.00 (when I was NOT receiving a salary) to help him out. He made a check for that amount that was about to bounce and was afraid of being arrested. I did not have the money and asked my wife if she was willing to help out as she had a small savings put aside. Well, for that I was paid back IMMEDIATELY. There was no problem. The problem is I am still out approx. $7000.00 in back salary from Lou Boni.
DO NOT HIRE SLA-TUR CONSTRUCTION OR LOU BONI!
In May 2009, my husband and I hired Sla-tur Construction to build a small sandwich shop in Pembroke Pines. Mr. Lou Boni promptly started the job, and over the course of a few months, misappropriated over 80% of the funds. What should have taken 45 days and $124K to complete, took over 6 months and cost in excess of $230K to finish.
I was 7 months pregnant at the time, and distinctly remember him standing in our driveway and taking a check for $20K from my hands, all the while knowing he was stealing from us.
In summary, Lou Boni stole over $80K of our money, and the quality of work was terrible, not to mention the loss of income that would have been generated had the store been open on time.
Lou boni is a crook. he took me for several thousands of dollars. i feel sorry for the next contractor or homeowner that he takes advantage of.
