I am 77 years old and technically challenged. I went on the showtime website to cancel a subscription; I made by mistake. A popup said I would have had to agree to Showtimes Terms of Use first. I was afraid that would be another mistake.
Finally, my niece told me a number I could call to cancel but I was only refunded for one month after arguing for 45 minutes.
If I had called 1 (ONE) day earlier, I would've been refunded for the first month before I was billed for the second month.
I barely watched Showtime for the free trial period and NONE at all after that.
I was told all fees are non-refundable. A day earlier and I would have cancelled in time.
I did not watch ANY Showtime at all after the free trial period and only signed up because I was confused.
This is extremely bad business practice to make it deliberately difficult to cancel and easy to sign up by mistake. I had a similar problem with Truth finders. Evidently this is a common practice to take advantage of seniors
