Phone customer service used to be based in the USA with knowledgeable helpful staff. They must have been fired since now it's 100% based in "the usual" foreign countries with completely clueless non-English speakers. SHAME on Safeway and Albertsons. I have experienced this every single day for 4 days straight. It began on August 24, 2023 when I called just to find out if Safeway policy had changed in regards to points (which have not reached 100) are now rolling over to the next month. They never did previously but they did for me in July (to August). Simple question but I was told by this person that a manager or supervisor would email me the answer within 1 to 24 hours. To date there has never been an email - or an answer. When I called back on the 25th, there was the same confusion (don't understand English) and no assistance. On the 26th a person (female) who told me her name was Charlie (which I'm sure it was not) would enter a ticket about it and gave me a number. When I called on the 27th, I found out the ticket was 'empty.' Another words, to get rid of me the person ("Charlie") gave me the number but did not fill out ANY information on the ticket. So the person on the 27th gave me yet another ticket number. It's all bogus and just an attempt to get rid of the customer with no resolution or action. PLUS, they don't want you to complete the survey on them so they won't hang up at the end of the call - I out-waited that last person and after 15 minutes the survey came on. What sort of staff is this? Don't speak English, don't know anything, lie about their actions, and play games. What a far cry from the original US-based Customer Service Staff who were helpful, smart and great.

Desired outcome: All phone customer service in the USA like before. Hire staff who speak English as their FIRST language.
