Nowdownloads looked professional until I came to the check out process
I wanted to buy a software and got to nowdownloads. I actually own a legitimate copy of adobe cs3 but it will not load anymore from the DVD and adobe was not very helpful. Nowdownloads looked professional until I came to the check out process. Never buy from a site, NEVER!, when the they ask for a credit card number and the url does not contain https. Watch very carefully. And they do not have that. Sure our Russian friends, who should rather take care of their miserable economy and their burning forest, where smart enough to put a SSL image on the site that tricks you into believing that their site is SSL but that is a trick. So as they sit around drinking vodka and poisoning journalists with radioactive sushi they thought 'oh that's cool, let's fake an SSL'. And it get better, they have a Russian girl sitting at the number they gave but she does not know html from https. Yes. So avoid our Russian friends. Oh, why do I say Russian? If your right click the SSL image you can see the source and it is .ru. Anyhow, I am still looking for cs3 and I have a legitimate serial number.

A few month ago, I was looking for a very rare documentary that I was hope to show my students and nowdownloadall.com said they did it. I never had try sites like this before that day but since they say they have this movie taht no one else have, I sign immediately. Once they charge my card, however, suddenly they do not have? Like with another site I sign for, I realize that it does not matter what I typed in their search box, it will ALWAYS find it a result.
For example, I have now just put search in "nowdownloadallisEVIL" and it give me the following:
Search Results: 6502 files found
nowdownloadallisEVIL [NEW] 550MB 3787KB/sec
nowdownloadallisEVIL [FULL] 281MB 3121KB/sec
nowdownloadallisEVIL [2008] 821MB 3498KB/sec
nowdownloadallisEVIL [LATEST] 823MB 3715KB/sec
See! It truly does not matter what you say to it. If you lost your money like me, you can get it back by getting a CHARGEBACK from your credit card companies.
For information on this, see: http://consumerist.com/2007/04/what-is-a-chargeback.html
ALSO! Post to these other sites as well if you as well have been the victim and share your grief!

SCAM RIPOFF
The bank called and was questioning a couple of purchases that I made that morning. They declined one of them. I went online while she was talking and saw what she was talking about. I had attempted to purchase a download from an online business for $1.97. After putting my debit card in the blanks, I noticed in extremely fine, faded print that they were going to charge me $9.87 for this transaction. I thought that was strange, so I back screened to the previous page where I had selected the $1.97 and pressed enter. It came up with the page to enter your credit/debit card and again I typed it in and again saw the $9.87 charge...but had still not pressed enter or the "next" button.
God was screaming in my ear and telling me that there was something wrong. I thought maybe it was my nerves because I was sitting in the McDonald's parking lot passing time before an important appointment. Listening to my gut instinct, I stopped with the purchase and deleted the screen.
Meanwhile, these scam artists were able to pull my debit card number off of that screen...even without me hitting enter...and they charged me $9.87. Next, they charged $39.95 but the bank cancelled the transaction (Thank You, CHASE bank!) and then later in the day, the bank called me about the transactions. The bank gave me the number to the business and asked me to call them to get them to reverse the $9.87. I said, "yah, right, like they are going to do that after they have scammed me." Called that business and they said they had no record of me making a purchase. Even before I got to a person on the phone, all of the recordings sounded fishy. Then the business said that the only way they could reverse it would be if I faxed them a copy of my bank statement. "okay, you screwed me over once and now you think I am going to send you more of personal information so you can empty my bank account (I have maybe $10...but they don't know that.)
So, I called the bank back and they recommended that I immediately go in to a branch, cancel my debit card, order a new one (10 days to wait for it) and get a temporary ATM card to use till then. This idiot online company basically hijacked my debit card with my help and as long as they had the number, they would have continuous access to my checking account. I usually don't fall for scams but fell right into this one. They probably made the first transaction to see if the card was good and then went back for more. I am so grateful to Chase bank for stopping them. I am so grateful that God stopped my from moving forward on that online page and also for making me answer the phone yesterday afternoon. I wasn't going to pick up, because the id said caller UNKNOWN, but as it rang and rang, I felt an urgency to answer this one. I never answer unknown listings.
On my checking statement, the charge is listed as MP3-payment.com, but on their web site, they were called nowdownloadall. com I wish I knew how to write up negative reports online so that if someone searches the company before they put their card in, they will know they are scam artists.
I guess if I had used a credit card, I would have been more protected as I may lose the $9.87. By using a debit card, they can just wipe out your bank account. I don't have a credit card. Scott made me close my credit cards a long time ago. I have one that the credit union forced closed stating I have bad credit.
Hope my bad experience is a lesson to others.

On the other hand, in this particular case, it takes two to commit a crime -
the fraud artist and the willing culprit.
It is the same old story. Bitterness of freebies stays long (if not forever) after its sweeties had been enjoyed only for moments.
Sad! Sad! Sad! Triply sad, when thousands of legal software publishers struggle for survival, pirates and rift-rats are blooming without any productive intellectual inputs.
The choices are clearly two: buy from genuine software publishers at market price and have peace of mind OR buy "cheap" from fraudsters and suffer the consequences. You have not excuse not to know the right choice, unless you're an underage.
Period.

they got me as well
lesson: google any company before filling out a single form
sad but true
The same happened to me to me, the disguise their fraud in calling it a "trial with the option of lifetime membership" but you have no option because they charge you the second amount of 39usd without your permission. I sent an email to them on the day that i bought the trial to ask them to cancel my membership and make sure that no more charges go through my account. Noone answered my email and today a charge of 39 usd went off my bank account. These people are a ripoff, please be careful of anything you see as MP3.COM !
i had a similar experience, they were only supposed to charge 1.99...i got 2 charges...1 for 39.95 and the other for 55.20
i did get to a customer service rep...they said that they would refund me..but so far i have not seen it show up on my bank statement
