Fonality Bad Service

Fonality has provided the worst service and support I have ever had. We all know that there can be problems from time to time however Fonality has outages far greater than they advertise. Our phones were out more % in the last 2 1/2 months than they advertise for a year. My sales rep does not return calls and technical support is abysmal. We have multiple sites so it is easy for us to discern the difference between an local ISP problem and a system wide Fonality outage. Phones have call quality problems weekly and dropped calls will create a nightmare for you. Don't use this company unless you can afford to be looking for antoher job.

Fonality Fonality Review - Terrible Service Number Fraud

Fonality service is absolutely terribile. We routinely have dropped calls, bad call quality, and other call issues. We have logged dozens of support requests but have had no resolution. Additionally, their call server goes down all the time. At least once a week, the fonality server on their end crashes and is unavailable for hours at a time. Every time we contact support, they say it is a "known issue" and that is it. Our phones are very important to our business and this is not a service anyone should use.

Recently, we have decided to cut our losses and chose a new phone provider. Over the last three months, we have logged over 100 calls to attempt to transfer the toll free numbers we run our business off of to the new provider. Fonality refuses to transfer these numbers, making any number of excuses. In our investigations, the new phone provider has let us know that fonality doesnt actually do any toll free service, but outsources it to another company. This other company has not been paid by fonality and will not release numbers. It seems as if they are going out of business and should not be used by anyone. Fonality is totally terrible and I hope no one ever uses them for any important phone service.

Fonality has been a complete and total nightmare for our company. We began having serious problems with dropped calls and outages which cost us clients and $$$. They always seemed to have an excuse. Finally we realized that their poor service was impacting us too greatly and tried to cancel the service. I say tried because even though we copied everyone we could find at the company with our request, they continued to bill us. After about 6 weeks they did port our number over to our new provider, BUT they have charged us a monthly fee on our corporate credit card for six months now. We are disputing the charges with our credit card provider, but they file counterclaims every month in order to keep the billing going. This company operates like some kind of Ponzi scheme, billing us no matter what for a service we no longer use.

Our experience with Fonality is the same, poor service, regular outages, terrible technical support. The porting department has been horrible to work with. If you are looking for a VoIP provider, keep looking Fonality cannot deliver regular service and is not able to support the existing customers.

I personally would like to escalate your case within our management team at Fonality. I would like to work to get your numbers ported away from Fonality, if that is your immediate goal. Feel free to contact me so that I can gather the details [protected] x 6135. It is common practice for most hosted Providers work with national carrier for their numbers and toll free usage. That said we enjoy a great relationship with ours and can certainly get your port request accomplished as long as the request is made within FCC guidelines with appropriate LOA documents signed and submitted.
