I had a terrible experience with Restoration Heroes. My garage had a water leak, and my plumber recommended Restoration Heroes to help with the water damage. A person named *** from Restoration Heroes came and gave me an estimate. He said Restoration Heroes would work with my insurance company to file the claim and provide a contractor to fix the problems. They referred me to Geoff for the reconstruction, but later I found out he is a project manager who subcontracts the work to someone else. Once the work started, I asked *** about payments to Restoration Heroes. He said the insurance company would pay them directly for the water mitigation, and for the reconstruction, the insurance company would reimburse me and I would pay the contractor provided by Restoration Heroes. So, I paid the contractor directly with the claim checks I received from the insurance company. But after everything was finished, Restoration Heroes sent me a bill for over $2500. When I called them, the accounting department said the insurance company made a mistake and I had to pay Restoration Heroes. Despite talking to Restoration Heroes and the project manager multiple times, and the project manager promising to fix the situation, they still asked me to pay out of my own pocket. I ended up paying just to stop them from bothering me, as I was getting an invoice in my email EVERY day. The bottom line is, don't believe anything they say. I strongly advise against using Restoration Heroes.
