On 1/5/23 we paid a $40,000 deposit to have new windows installed in our home. Total cost was $80,281. At the end of June our windows were installed and another $20,000 was paid, but the hurricane protection was not installed. 3 of the sliding glass doors were defective. Since the end of June we have been unable to get Renewal by Andersen of Florida to complete installation or fix the defective sliding doors which they have acknowledged as defective. We cannot get our final inspection by the county done until the hurricane protection is installed and the sliding glass door windows are fixed. We have stickers on every single window in the house that have to remain in place until the inspector can approve installation. We have called and emailed so many times and they promise to complete the installation and nothing happens. This whole experience has been extremely upsetting and stressful with no end in sight.

Over a year and a half and still hasn't finished project. Multiple visits to my house causing loss of work. Poor customer service, never get updates, call backs. Charged for total of project before work began. Work completed is sloppy. Overall very unhappy with purchase, timeline of project and install.

I have tried to unsubscribe my email address with the company and are still receiving multiple emails a day. I never signed up to even start receiving emails from the company and not sure how my email address even came to the company. I received four emails daily and request for the advertising emails to stop.

I have contacted this company regarding the installation of a door. After year and have this contract have not been resolved. Finally a manager called me but I am not happy with their decision. They agreed to replace the door but he said can't give an amount of discount after they finish replacing the door. After all this time this company can't its not able to comply with the warranty. This is my second time communicating with Complaintsboard.com. Product_Or_Service: French door

JLM Windows, LLC made a promise that they can't keep. They gave us an estimated project start time of 10-12 weeks. We are on week 26. They have failed to communicate with us and failed to return phone calls in a timely manner. Had we known that the project would take over 6 months to complete we would never have made the purchase. They insisted on getting on getting an $8,213.00 deposit before they left the day of the quote. That is too long to keep a deposit without delivering the product.

2/27 Loan contract for nine windows stating that $22,969.09 ; half the total amount of purchase $46,324. 5/19 - transactional bill for completion $23,162.00 5/21 - Lake County Building Permit pulled although job was completed except for interior shutters were not re-hung after windows installed. (included in contract) Calls were placed to Annette *** Concierge along with emails from 5/20-6/1. The astragal (Picture below) is short on my $20,000 sliding glass door. Emails dated June address this & permit closeout.

Purchased 11 windows from them only 10 have been installed. Have called the local office no return call. Have called corporate no return call. Purchased 11 windows in March. 10 windows were installed on May 26. The remaining window was on "backorder". They called on June 9th to set up a day to install the last window. I have tried several times to follow up and schedule the installation with no return call. I the office and left a message two days ago for the operations manager Robert B to call me with no return call. I called Andersen corporate and complained two days ago and still no return call. This job was financed and they have already received final payment from the finance company.

Replacing 3 windows, Job was done in July 16, Cost $8,032.00. I have alarm sensors on windows, tech forgot to detach sensors from windows and is missing sensors and the wire. One set of wire he placed blue tape, tech did not take any responsibility for it, called company suggested that I get wireless sensors and they will pay for it. The system is old that meant I needed to upgrade the system and upgrade to wireless to the damage area. I sent invoice ($732.71) and I never heard from them again. I sent f/u emails, nothing. And the windows are not inspected by inspector. Below is the order form, pictures of missing sensors, wires sticking out, and only one window he remembered to pull the wire and sensor off the window. We had 34,000.00 dollars worth of windows installed by Renewal by Anderson. It has been over 2 years and they still haven't fixed the issues with the product they installed. I have owned other homes with Anderson windows and had no problem. They do come out and take videos of the problems and say we will order the parts and they have to this day fixed them. Paul came out a few weeks ago cut the weather stripping down our sliding glass doors and just left it. Annette is the worst and will lie to suit the moment. I have two windows that won't even open. I have told them if anything happens to my family and we can't get out of our home due to their products not working, well you know Anderson won't be around. Now after two and a half years Annette is trying to tell us we owe them 238.00 dollars. What a sorry business ethics this company has. Please help my family stay safe.

Contracted for 11 installed windows. Installation to occur 17-19 Aug. On 17 Aug first installer installed 3 double windows and due to poor quality called company. Serivce Mgr came out and noted wrong trim installed in all windows. Advised installer. Installer came back on 18 Aug & walked off job. Multiple calls finally got an excellent crew to come out but not until 24 Aug. Installed 5 windows & did interior caulking. Did not return until 31 Aug to finish. Was fit in between jobs, unknown? interior painting required due to damage by first installer. Multiple calls and emails to no avail, texted Svc Mgr, while on leave, who got painter out on 13 Sep. By contract, company required to re-install window treatments. More calls & emails, am being advised probably not until next week, they are short handed. 3 double windows look like pic. A 3 day job is now 28 days & not complete

I was sold windows based on false information. I was shown a video of a wood chipper outside a window and when the window closes you hear no noise at all. When I questioned sales man he promised me it was " for real" It is not. I replaced single pane windows that were from 1989 with these windows and I have NO sound reduction. My house was left in disarray with glass shards all over the place that harmed me. My finger is still not usable. I think there is a small piece of glass trapped inside the wound and have made a doctors appointment to have it looked at. The crew had no supervision and there was no project manager. A group of non English speaking workers showed up at my house. I was introduced to my installer at the pre measure appointment and he assured me he would take good care of me. When the 3 workers showed up I asked where my installer was by name. All they said was " He no come." It took me 15 hours of my time to clean up all the glass. they are a SHAM

RBA installed entire house of windows and doors. Door handle keeps falling off, can't be tightened, issue occurring since late November . Office does not return calls and when you get a hold of someone they say it's been ordered. Since we can't use the broken door we use the sliders and one barely slides due to ripped insulation and both have panels falling off. Project Manager came out over 2 weeks ago and said he'd have someone out asap to fix the doors and recaulk ALL of the doors because the installers didn't use enough caulk to seal. Have not heard from the office since. Just called and the lady said there are no notes on my account stating what I was referencing. They sell you on concierge service in the event an issue arises and do not deliver on the guarantee. For how expensive the product is they should not be falling apart less than a year from install. Very disappointed in the product and appalled by the service! I am finally filing a complaint and these issues aren't even a fraction of how poorly RBA/Universal Contracting conduct business.

Hired them to replace windows and front door. Told the work would be done by "professional" installers. They damaged multiple window openings, stucco and paint, door is not installed correctly, trim is both missing and damaged. Multiple landscaping plants were trampled and/or had branches snapped off. Trash/debris from work was thrown into the landscaping instead of being hauled away.(plastic shims, spray foam, caulking nozzles, wrappings, nails, screws, etc.) Same type trash left on back patio and driveway. Front yard was used as a saw station, leaving a mound of sawdust, plastic shavings. Called company to discuss problems and they sent out an inspector who acted appalled at what he was shown, he told us they would take care of and call us to schedule work. Nothing from company for a couple of weeks so I called them, Lesley, said crew was on way there. We were never contacted to arrange this, so I had to take off work a second time to meet the crew. Young man who showed up was under the impression he was just there to fix some door trim. Said he could do nothing for the door with what it needed,, and knew nothing about the other damage to the house. I called Lesley and got a basic runaround that they would have a crew back out on April 5, to take care of some of the work, and have County inspection done. I now have to take another day off from work for this, if they do it. Also I contacted our loan company about a hold payment until the work was completed. Veronica at Green Sky, stated that Anderson had notified them on March 16th, that the job was completed and wanted paid. Green Sky took them for their word and paid them. For a job not done, not passed inspection, and one that caused damage to the home and parts of the install that has not been rectified.

07/31 I signed a contract for a single window. The total contract amount was $2133.00. I provided a deposit of $710.00 by personal check. I gave vey specific instructions regarding how I wanted the window constructed and installed. 08/12 The project manager (PM) came to my home for a tech measure. I reiterated my instructions to the PM and he replied that Anderson would not install the window how I instructed. The PM also confirmed that Anderson would not be able to construct the window per my specifications. I asked the PM to cancel the order since the construction and installation did not meet my expectations. The PM stated that someone from the office would get back to me regarding cancellation. I heard nothing from Anderson for 17 weeks. Then I received an email stating they wanted to schedule installation. I made several attempts to contact the office in writing to explain that I cancelled the order with the PM. On 12/03 the office manager contacted me by phone. I explained what happened and he agreed to refund my deposit in full. I understood this as a verbal contract. I sent a follow up email to Anderson outlining our conversation and confirming that the office manager had agreed to fully refund my deposit. On 12/06 the same manager contacted me by phone and stated that Anderson was going to keep the entire deposit. Shortly after the second call from the office manager, I received an email that stated Anderson was keeping over 70% of the deposit. I have attempted to contact the Renewal by Anderson legal department but I have not heard back from them. I am requesting that Renewal by Anderson honor the original agreement to refund my deposit in full. The deposit was made in good faith that Anderson would be able to construct and install a window to my specifications.

Business conducts practices that are sub-par for normal and professional operation. Communication is little to none. Work Quality is unacceptable. Contract was signed in December. 8-10 weeks for Product fabrication and Delivery. 8 weeks after contract was signed. No communication was made for two weeks. no updates, nothing. several calls and messages were placed. None were returned. Finally, I was able to get a hold of someone. They stated my windows were in but there was an issue with one of them. I did not allow them to start the work until the entire window set was in hand. 6 weeks went by and the window came in. Project was started. The same window that was incorrect the first time was, again, incorrect. Window was not installed, they had to reorder the window. 2-3 weeks went by and i was, again, not able to contact anyone. I contacted RBA corporate and was put in touch with regional area manager. He said the window was never ordered. They sent out a rep to measure again and make a punch list of what wrong (Two stripped sashes, busted screen, still need 1 window installed that was stored in my house) So i waited another 8 weeks. Window comes in. They send out an installer without any notification. I was out of town, so work was delayed another week. The installer installed 1 of the 2 remaining windows, broke some drywall, said he need to obtain scaffolding for the final window and would fix everything up tomorrow. Fix everything up, must have just meant caulk everything excessively. Very poor quality install, caulk everywhere, bow one of the window frames, still damaged drywall, left dirty rags on my floor, left caulk streaks all over the windows. No follow up from installer. Need inspection, no word on that. will be contacting regional manager to see if he is willing to set things straight. very poor professionalism from the local RBA office.

We contracted with Renewal By Anderson of Florida on May 26 for replacement windows in our home in Tavares, Fla. Our salesman was Brad B. We made a slight change to our order on 6/12. The total for our windows is $26,000. After numerous delays with our start date for installation, our window installation was finally started on October 5th. During the installation, the installer broke 2 of our marble windowsills. The installer stated that Renewal by Anderson had replacement marble windowsills in stock and they would be back to replace the broken windowsills. After several phone calls and discussions re: the correct color of the windowsills, the date provided for the replacement of the broken windowsills was Dec 6, 2021. On Dec 6, 2021, an installer came to replace the broken windowsills. The marble that he had was the wrong color and did not match the marble sills that we have. The installer said he would replace ALL of our window sills with the new color, however, he did not have enough marble with him to complete the job. He left stating that he would get additional marble and come back to replace the sills. We have called Renewal by Anderson NUMEROUS times to request an installation date. As of January 9th, 2022, we have not received any return phone calls or a date for the installer to come replace the windowsills. We have been more than patient and have called many, many times to get the window job completed. Our windows were never inspected by the local building inspector, so I am sure we still have an open permit. My husband finally, removed all of the stickers from the windows. We have not been able to have blinds installed due to the unfinished window job. We would like to have a competent installer come and install the window sills that we are owed. We would like Renewal By Anderson to call the township and order our final inspection and close out the permit.

It has been a year since our 2-day project was started and it still isn't completed. On July 1 we signed a contract with Justin Knolls to have 5 windows installed. We have perfect credit so we were approved immediately for the financing. On July 22 Yamel P introduced herself as our concierge. The windows were installed Sept 12 & 13, 2019. The crew was totally inept and barely even got the windows in during the 2 days. The supervisor wasn't present during the second day and the workers broke one of our windows. We subsequently found out from Dustin L, RBA's own inspector, they have numerous complaints about their work which another team had to be sent out to fix all of their mistakes to include improper installation, fitting, and positioning so you could literally see through the gap to the outside. He also informed me there were critical errors made when installing our windows that could cause water damage to our home which made our job a priority. It was over a week after receiving that information, that I started having to relentlessly call and email to find out why no one had called or shown up to fix these issues. By Oct 27, 2019 the actual windows were still not fixed but I started receiving calls from the drywall guy wanting to make an appointment with me to finish the inside and was rude to me when I told him the windows weren't actually done. In the middle of all this, the stucco guys called me at work and told me they were sitting outside my house waiting for me. I was never consulted about this but had to again take time off of work to meet another worker at my house; which we were told would all be taken care of during the 2-day install not several different people. Finally everything was put in and "finished" only to find out that when the windows are opened they fall back down. We were told by Dustin this was due to faulty balancers. It was the company's recommendation to put stops at the top so the windows don't actually open all the way so they don't fall down. This truly blew my mind...the suggestion that instead of fixing the problem, their answer is to impede the egress from our home by installing stops so the windows don't open all the way. The company agreed to order the balancers. They have also left a contractor's lien on our home because the project hasn't gone through final inspection which almost made us miss out on refinancing our home. It is now July 2 and I am receiving zero communication yet again and no workers have shown up to finish our project that they have received full payment for, so I decided to try this route as i have done everything I was supposed to do through out this process to only be ignored and disrespected.
