Publix Super Markets Employment

Hello my name is Fredrick Walker. I am a former associate at Publix. Back in July of 2021 I was working at Publix and when I was working there the job seems pretty easy but the problem is that the managers and the co workers wasn't properly training me right. And then one of the front end managers started embarrassing me in front of customers and the other front end manager he did the exact same thing. I went to the store manager to let them know what happened but he told me he was gonna talk to them and after it happened again then that's when things started escalating and then they had me outside doing cart duty for a hour and it was hot outside because I'm not a fan of hot weather. They told me to get a bottle of water but I didn't have any and I didn't have any money to purchase one in the store. I really want my job back but I wanna do something else besides front end. And I tried to get a job at the stockbridge Publix they hired me but the hiring manager had asked me have I ever worked with Publix before and I told her I didn't remember and the store manager asked me the same thing and she thought I was being funny when I wasn't so after she had reached out to the district manager she then confronted me while I was in the computer room watching training videos and said I had lied to her and the hiring manager and after that I wasn't able to work and now I really want my job back and they didn't even give me another chance since then. So now I can't apply online for Publix anymore because I felt turned down all because I was trying to be honest and now they're looking at me like I don't deserve to have a job or something. I feel so terrible and right now I'm currently unemployed with no job and I really need a job ASAP. Please contact me at [protected] or email address at [protected]@gmail.com thank you 👍

Desired outcome: No clue

Publix Super Markets Publix milk spoils within 1 or 2 days

I never had this problem until the past 9 months. The milk is spoiled or curled a day or two after I buy it. I thought maybe it was my fridge and then I heard from my sister in St.Peterburg and niece in Sarasota, they both had the same issue, we all bought it from a different Publix Store in different cities. It doesn't matter if its a quart, gallon or 1/2 gallon. We all refuse to buy any Publix milk of any kind. I even turned my fridge down and stored it in the back part where they claim its colder and it still spoiled. I'm loosing faith in Publix! They have gone downhill for some reason and its very sad

Desired outcome: I don't know. I rarely buy anything here now. Publix use tobe my favorite store

Publix Super Markets Deli service and customer service manager

I placed a traditional online deli order for pick up 2/27 @9:30pm / Publix Midtown Atlanta, GA. When I arrived for pickup, there was nothing ready for me. I gave my name and asked where do you pick up online order only to find out that it wasn’t prepared. Two other customers were looking for their orders as well. The employee stated, “we are out of bread so we didn’t make them…”

I explained no change came after my confirmation to state do not pick up my order. I then quoted what another Publix manager informed me, that all the employee has to do is call a manager to authorize opening a loaf in-house. I asked for a manager and the other deli employee stated…”go get your bread choice Sir and I’ll make it” This was even more contradictory. As I waited on a manager, the employee said what type bread did you want? I stated Mountain bread and she said “ Oh I have that already…I said wait, you said you didn’t have bread…she then stated I never read the details of your orders, I was pre closing…

When the customer service manager came over he was just as rude, he looked and saw I was gay and stated in an unprofessional tone…do you want the sandwich or not…missing the entire issue and cared less about me or the other customers. I asked for his name , he hit his name tag (Coty I think)and kept walking saying he was the store manger so I could take it or leave it. I have never experience such clear and blatant disrespect and discrimination…

Desired outcome: I need to understand the direction of your brand and if this is the new practice. I want a follow up on the situation as well. [protected]@aol.com

Publix Super Markets Deli Store 0733

we've had nothing but problems at store 0733 deli since Nov. 2022. Ordered 60 pieces of fried chicken for our church and when we went to pick it up it wasn't even ready. Then we ordered a ring leader for Christmas told them no mayo or anything on it And when we got it home finally it was covered in mayo. wasn't ready at the time it said it would be. today I had to wait for a 8 piece of fried chicken and when we got it home it was all batter and the batter was burnt. Its unbelievable how terrible one deli can be but its awful. Publix's is going to lose a lot of business because of this deli.

Desired outcome: fix the problem

Publix Super Markets Managers

Do not work for the store that's in coconut creek, FL on Johnson rd. and 441 in Broward County because you will not be treated right, nor will you get hours. The deli managers do not know how to manage a department, nor do they know how to speak to you the right way like you're a human being. I was sexually harassed by another employee, and I told the store manager, and he forgot I ever said something to him about it. I don't think that it's fair that they take hours from part time people and give everything to full time people. Do they think part timers don't have livelihoods as well? It's not fair that the energy in that place is so toxic that I'm drained just from being at work.

Publix Super Markets Food prices

Walmart sells Thomas English Muffins evryday for approx $2.64. Publix is $5.29 everyday unless there is a BOGO which is fine if you have a large family or eat a lot of english muffins. Walmart did not have the kind I like so I had to go to Publix and fork out $5.29. Today I found the ones I like at a different Walmart for $2.64 & I do not buy them on BOGO when I cannot eat that many. Publix could easily make items 2/for$5.29 Your prices on 10 ct mini cokes is approx. $7.49. Walmart is $5.64. Publix is approx 2X higher. $6.99 for a bag of Cuties is steep.

With food prices high like they are now, people cannot afford to pay premium prices as the food allowance has to go farther. I see shoppers looking at meat trying to figure out what they can afford. Elderly folks are on a fixed budget and money is extremely tight. Publix can well afford to make prices and/or the amount of an item lower. Everyone at Publix corporate esp board of directors are filthy rich.

Chicken was purchased and represented as whole roasting chicken but it lacked drumsticks. A great disappointment!

Publix Super Markets Publix pharmacy on winchester rd in new market al

I love shopping at Publix, but will never ever use the pharmacy again. Having just spent an hour in urgent care, I went to have my three year olds prescription for an antibiotic filled. I had my three year old and five year old with me. I figured we would run in quickly and get the meds since they both have rsv and my son has a ear infection and fever. The technician told me they had just gotten the prescription and it would be 40 minutes. Meanwhile I was the only one in line, no one else even standing around waiting.

I worked as a pharmacy technician for 12 years and never did I ever tell a mother with a sick child she had to wait 40 minutes for his antibiotic. I looked at her shocked and said, “my son is sick and he really needs his antibiotic.” She said “we are really backed up.” Again, I know how it works and you are never too “backed up” to fill a antibiotic prescription for a three year old in a timely manner who is waiting. I told them I knew they just had to grab it and put a label on it and have the pharmacist check it. And she just stared at me. I told them I would wait.

I stood with my feverish son in my arms and my coughing daughter for 20 minutes while they turned their back to whisper about me and the technicians who rang people out rolled their eyes at me. Finally, apparently when the pharmacist was ready to stop being petty, she took the filled prescription out of a basket and told someone to ring me up.

Never in all my life would I expect this level of unprofessionalism at Publix. If a healthcare professional can’t have compassion on a sick child, and are going to be so petty as to make him suffer in his mothers arms at the grocery store when no one else was even around waiting or picking up their prescriptions, they shouldn’t be working healthcare. Shame on them. I’m disgusted and disappointed in Publix and their pharmacy staff and will not be back. Again, to be treated so unprofessionally as a mother of a urgently sick child in my arms simply because they had the “power” to make me wait, is absolutely inhumane and atrocious and they should be ashamed of themselves. I will be contacting corporate and reporting this level of unprofessionalism, and I sincerely hope that it won’t happen to anyone else in my shoes.

Publix Super Markets Stocks

To whom it may concern.

This letter is being sent to several people within the Publix Chain of command as well as the CEO, Board of directors and to legal counsel.

Back in 1974, 1975 I acquired some stock be virtue of the fact I was employed by Publix. I was employed five and a half years. I left Publix to serve in the military. At the time as I was discussing things with the shop supervisor, I was advised to leave my stocks where they were. George Jenkins said,( leave them alone, you’re going in service and the military will furnish everything for you. ). So I did just that. Jump ahead in time. Forty eight years later I tried to cash in my stocks. I was told to fill out a form that they had to get the stocks. I lost the originals moving place to place in the military. I did. Two weeks passed and nothing. I sent a letter to the CEO. A few days later a woman from Publix call and she told me that I could not sell my stocks back because I did not work there ten years. So I did some research. Turns out that was a lie. I sent out some letters to try and find out why she lied to me. Then I received a phone call from a man named Richard who works in retirement/stocks. He told me he found my stocks and my account. He went on to say that He had my paper work, everything was good and he was sending the paper work to another office to be processed. He also stated that Publix owed me a sizeable amount of money which I should receive in a few days. He did not say how much. Four business days passed. I heard nothing. So I called the number that Richard provided to me to contact him directly. I called 3 times, and got a message, call back later and the phone hung up. So I called back to talk to retirement and stocks. I spoke to a woman who did not give her name. She stated that everything was on schedule and my paperwork was still being processed. Twenty days passed and still nothing. So I called back. A man told me everyone was in a meeting that could help me. He went on to say that he could not find any paperwork or account for me. I advised him that Richard Had no problem finding it, and suddenly he found it. He stated that I could not sell my stocks back because they were too old. That was lie number 2. As I continued my conversation he added another lie by saying because I was given those stocks by Publix I could not cash them in. So at that point I asked this question. Does this mean all the people working for Publix receiving stocks because they are employed by Publix are living a dream that will not come true? This is when I was hung up on.

My next question is this. What is going on, and why have I been lied to?

What are they hiding or trying to cover up.

I read an article on Publix web page. They are worth a lot of money. I just can’t believe that what they owe me is going to break the bank.

Publix Super Markets Trays of food

Today was the "straw that broke the camels back."

I will no longer purchase anything at Publix stores.

You put out a book giving the prices of Publix trays. The last one was dated June, 2022.

I tried to call Publix every hour on the hour to the deli department to order a tray 2 days ago. No one answered the phone. I know all about the "lack of help" everywhere, but there is no excuse for never answering the phone.

Yesterday, I called and asked for a manager. He took the information and said he would give it to the deli. Hours later, an employee called and left a message she had no order on the message. Apparently, the manager gave it to the deli with no order. So I called back again and talked to another manager who sent the order back. I verified that the price was $15.99 from the booklet in my hand.

I picked up the tray this morning and it was $16.99.

That booklet is good for one year. I have purchased these for years. No more. No more Publix. We have plenty of other options down here in Florida with prices lower.

Desired outcome: There is no desirable outcome. Publix is no more.

Publix Super Markets Publix Digital App

Since Publix came out with their Publix App, it's arsy varsy when it comes to their electronic receipts. They say, it's to help eliminate paper & make it easier to pay. However, (at some locations) if you need to return something using their app (digital receipt), customer service at times look at your phone. They literally ask or reach for your phone to input their return info & make sure the digital receipt isn't fake.

The problem with that, germs spread. Those working the counter doesn't know where my hands have been & I don't know where their hands have been. Now we have Publlix as super spreaders; handling customers food. What if a customer has monkey pox or Covid?

So I went into settings & changed it where I get both a digital receipt & a paper receipt when I check out.Which defeats the purpose!

I called Publix customer service & told them, it fell on death ears. All it takes is for someone to get sick- law suit!

You should not be asking or reaching for customers phones to return product!

Publix Super Markets Publix Spring Water

We've been buying the gallon size Publix spring water for years. It usually tastes fine to us. There may be an occasional one here or there that wasn't that great, but lately it's been awful. They taste like watered down milk. This has been going on for the last month or so. I'm so sick of having to return things to Publix. This store is not like it used to be.

Publix Super Markets Bakery

Last week I bought six French macarons. They were really stale.

I have read that they have a good shelf life in you keep them from air, and these are in a bakery display case, so I am wondering how long you keep them before you are at the end of the "shelf life".

These cookies are very expensive, buy 5 get one free, for $10. That is a lot to pay for stale.

I bought mine at the Publix at Promenade as it is right across the street from where I live.

Desired outcome: Replace the cookies. Maybe from the store on Longboat Key, as I have purchased them at this store before and they weren't stale like the ones at the Promenade store.

Publix Super Markets greenwise milk

Bought a 1/2 gallon of Greenwise ilk with an August 23 expiration date; opened it on 7/26. Took one swallow and it felt like I had drank some alcohol; burned the top of my throat like alcohol. It had a very slight off smell but nothing like sour milk. Something was very wrong with this carton; returned it to Publix. Will never buy your brand of milk again.
