Picked up wheel and tire today 30 August 2022. I dropped off the motorcycle wheel and new tire to be mounted on Saturday 27 August 2022. I took a picture of my wheel before bringing it in to the service department in order to prevent any discrepancies in the wheel’s condition before the tire mounting process and the wheel’s condition after the service was completed. This is not a world shaking event but the service manager totally went to a severely negative place. 1) called me a liar and said no picture existed. 2) then said the damage on the wheel was a ‘mirage’. 3) then told me tough …. And walked away. 4) then one of the employees standing over 50 feet away the started berating in front of other employees and other people. This dealership has a poor reputation among motorcycle enthusiasts in northeast Florida. However regardless of multiple changes of location and owners I have been buying motorcycles and parts and service since the dealership was on route 16. The date of my first purchase of a new Honda 350 was in 1972. I am saddened and sickened by the low level this business has stooped to-extremely disappointing and not the first time the current location/owners have shown zero concern for motorcycle customers. This seems to me to be very unnecessary negativity. I did nothing more than purchase a service and it went from that to an evil and scary response from two employees towards me to where I feared for my personal safety. Unfortunately and sadly I report this event.

Sales person Steve Baines of Powersports of St. Augustine told me the 2021 brand new Honda scooter I was interested in would have a faster pick-up and go faster than another different scooter model I own which is also a Honda.

When I asked it's speed, Steve told me the Honda ADV150 (150cc) scooter would go 85 mph. He also said it would have quicker pick up than my 2019 Honda PCX1500 (150cc).

My 2019 PCX has quick pick-up and I've reached 68 mph with it on a flat road with no wind. Since the ADV is a new model to Honda here in the states I thought that 85 might be a slight exaggeration but not knowing this new scooter I took the salespersons word for it.

I bought the scooter and drove it home from the dealer in St. Augustine to South Daytona, on a calm day with little wind. The scooter was very slow to climb to a decent speed and the top speed I could reach with it was 61 mph. this was not a t all how this scooter was represented to me by the salesperson.

I immediately phoned the salesperson to discuss the discrepency to the top speed and pick-upo of my experience with this scooter and he said something to the effect of "well, that's not right". I then asked if there may be something wrong with it even though it was brand new. I told him that if there wasn't anything wrong with the scooter and that if this was it's top performance then I don't want the scooter.

So far Powersports of St. Augustine hasn't done a damn thing to try and rectifiy this problem with the exception of offering to buy this scooter back from me as "used" and at a reduced price. They say they will then credit me with those funds towards a purchase of another product in their dealership. At that time the scooter was only in my possession for 36 hours.

If I accept their offer then I will be out of pocket $1, 275 on a scooter that was misrepesented and has only the 70'ish miles I drove it home from the dealership on it.

It looks like I'll to sue this company based on their misrepresentation to me towards my purchase of this scooter. I'm also filing a case with the FL States Attorney Office concerning the misrepresentation to me about the performance of this scooter.

No one at this dealership has been very responsive to me during this entire ordeal. They weren't returning my phone calls. etc. It appears to me that they knew they had a problem with their misrepresentation of this product and they're hoping I'll just go away. If they knew me - the would know that will not happen without getting this straightened out in a fair manner.

I made an offer to them that if they just returned all my money to me in credit I would purchase another larger scooter at more expense and I would pay the difference. They just want me to take the entire hit on their mistake.
