We been tryin' to pay off our mortgage for the last 3 weeks. We never get a call back nor do we get a letter of payoff amount even though we done followed all the steps to get one. We can't get a hold of anyone in customer service that can help us with this request. We just keep gettin' the run around. You'd think a company would wanna be paid off but we ain't found this to be the case. This company is ridiculous and unprofessional. Get it together.

This company is terrible! Don't use them for any purchase or refinance. I've been waiting for over 5 months for an appraisal that I paid for to remove PMI. Platinum can't find anyone to do the appraisal, they say. I'm paying almost $400 extra a month because they won't take care of this. They're a mortgage company that can't get appraisals done in 5 months?! What if I wanted to buy my home! This is seriously a joke, no one should trust this company that openly breaks the law by not doing their job.

When we decided to refinance our home and investment property, the process took way longer than what we were initially informed. Additionally, there were some mistakes in the paperwork, which led to us having to pay extra after the closing to ensure our insurance was covered for the entire year. It's worth mentioning that they used outdated information for one of our loans, despite receiving all the necessary details in the same email. Surprisingly, they managed to use updated information for the other loan. The manager's response was quite brief, mentioning that he was busy traveling when I reached out to him regarding these issues. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend them.

We refinanced with Platinum a few months ago. This month, they took out double our mortgage payment by mistake and put all the extra money into escrow, which wasn't necessary. I called them right away when I noticed the wrong, unauthorized amount they withdrew. The representatives were nice and admitted their mistake, but they can't give us the money back right away. They have a process to follow. This is causing a lot of trouble for my family because we were supposed to travel to take my son back to college this weekend, and now I don't know how we'll manage with hardly any money in our account. I'm really disappointed with Platinum. I don't have any trust that things will be done correctly in the future.

This month, they took out twice the amount of our mortgage payment (over ***, when it should be 802) and put all the extra money into escrow, which wasn't necessary. The representatives were nice and admitted their mistake, but when I asked to talk to a supervisor, they couldn't give me the money back right away. They said they have a process and will send a check in "3 business days". I'm really disappointed with Platinum Home Mortgage. It's Christmas time and I have checks that could make my account go negative, but the supervisor said they have another process for that! I don't get it. If they can take the money out electronically, why can't they put it back the same way? It's funny and dumb that such a big company doesn't have the technology to reverse the charges. I had my roof fixed by a smaller finance company and they were able to put the remaining balance back into my account. ***.

Platinum Home Mortgage Corporation keeps charging me for PMI on my mortgage even though my loan-to-value (LTV) ratio is at 51.2%. I have made several requests over the past three years, but they haven't taken any action. I didn't make a 20% down payment, so according to the Homeowner's Protection Act of 1998 and their website, PMI should be automatically removed once the LTV reaches 78% and I have a consistent payment record. However, they keep coming up with excuses. Their latest excuse is that FEMA declared a high-risk emergency in April , but Horry County, where my property is located, is not on that list. Moreover, this declaration came after my loan was already below the 78% LTV threshold. I really need assistance and I want a refund for the money I've paid for PMI that I shouldn't have.

On February 5th, Platinum Home Mortgage Corporation made a mistake and took out twice the correct amount from our account for our mortgage payment. They put the extra money in our escrow, even though it wasn't necessary. I never gave them permission to take out that much. When I noticed the error, I called them right away. It left my husband and me with very little money in our account. They admitted their mistake and promised to return the funds by the 8th. But they didn't. Every time I called, I got different information, and the money still hasn't been returned to my account. They also said a manager and a customer service representative would call me, but no one has. Besides needing my money back, I now have no trust in this company. Unfortunately, I can't afford to refinance with another company.

I'm a resident of Michigan and a Disabled American Veteran rated at 100%. According to the DAV property tax laws, I am exempt from paying property tax. I closed on my home in October and filed for exemption with my township, which was approved on December 15. I notified Platinum Home Mortgage Corporation by fax on January 25, informing them of my exemption and requesting a refund of all property tax money paid and adjustments to my mortgage statement. They responded on February 1, stating that they were recently made aware of the situation and that adjustments would be made within 30 days. However, as of March 15, this has not happened.

Furthermore, despite knowing that I am exempt from property taxes, they still disbursed the taxes to my township. Fortunately, my township returned the money along with a letter explaining that I am an exempted DAV veteran. On March 2, I received my house payment for April without any adjustments or refund of my tax money.

This company is defrauding me of my earned benefits under the property tax laws of Michigan for Disabled Veterans. I served my country honorably, and it is disheartening to see Platinum Home Mortgage Corporation exploiting my DAV benefits for their own gain. I sent them an email in early March demanding a refund of all my property tax money, but as of March 16th, they have chosen not to contact me or refund my money since the closing in October .

As an American Disabled Veteran, this company's actions are nothing short of an attempt, if not actual, fraud against me. They need to rectify this matter immediately and stop demeaning veterans and their hard-earned benefits. I served to protect this great country, and it is unacceptable to be treated in such an unprofessional manner. I no longer wish to do business with a company like this.
