This groomer/breeder has also know as Fazzo's Frenchies (Pet Spa of Belle Harbor) and their website was bullybreeder.com. They have recently changed their website to www.thefrenchbulldogbreeder.com. These woman are constantly changing their breeder name and even their personal names. I met one of the women as Marie Fazzo (which I assumed was the owner) she also goes by Dolores Ferraro. Her partner is Dawn.
These people are sick. Those poor puppies. I bought a french bulldog from these women who presented as knowledgeable caring breeders. They seemed that they would to do anything for those puppies. I was sadly mistaken. They are simply importers of sick puppy mill puppies from overseas. I had my puppy 2 weeks before it passed away. I know several people who have bought from these people and have had to spend thousands of dollars to get their pup healthy. They were more fortunate than us but still have to continuously pay high vet bills for medical issues.
Please do your research before buying a dog from ANY breeder. Ask to see the pup's parents, their living situation, AKC papers, medical screenings and records. Get in touch with as many references as possible. Go meet references and their adult dogs. If you see a red flag- think twice- no matter how cute those little smoosh faces are.

Hi I'm the daughter of the owner of a puppy purchased from Leslie in 2010. We got this beautiful boy frenchie (red) after our old French bull dog died. We were so excited to pick him up, and we fell in love with him the minute we saw him. When we took him home, he was fine. But then a few days later, he was very sick and had massive dihreahha. I don't know if he was diagnosed with anything cause I was quite young, but we were extremely concerned about his health. He's had problems with chronic Lyme disease now but he's taking medication now and he's doing okay. He's a very happy dog and loves us. However, I do not like that these breeders are out there continuing to scam people and neglect these poor beautiful creatures. I love my dog and I couldn't imagine him as a helpless puppy at that place!

Glad your puppy was okay and hope he still is. Does anyone know what happened with this breeder? I too bought a puppy off her in 2011, he was born in April 2011. He was sick when I brought him home, vomiting/diarrhea.I immediately took him to my vet and he was treated but her response was he probably had an upset stomach due to the car ride from NY to MA. A bunch of [censored]! Anyways I remember her house with all the pictures of celebrities with the Frenchies and bulldogs…football stars, magazine editorial pics, dog show pics ect.I was young and stupid and didn’t educate myself on the buying process, I just wanted a puppy. I also stumbled upon a forbidden room while following one of the puppies. There I saw a bunch of white bulldogs in pens. She quickly got me out of that room and said her sister breeds them. Luckily my dog lived 10.5 years and he had a wonderful life and brought us so much joy. He had seizures starting at 5.5 years old that we medically managed and he was seizure free for a few years. No other issues until recently he was believed to have a brain tumor and we unfortunately had to put him down. I sure hope she is out of business and I’m so sorry for those on this thread whose puppies succumbed to their illness caused by such a careless breeder.

We bought a puppy there two days ago. She had diarrhea which we were told was attributed to switching dog foods. Seemed reasonable enough. She has an intermittent cough as well.. We go to the vet this afternoon. I hope to god this puppy is healthy.
I wished I had known her name before getting pup. I would have avoided her. techofjedi@yahoo.com

We purchased a French Bulldog puppy from "Dolores Farro" in April of 2011. Within 6 months she was diagnosed with a heart valve murmur and heart arrhythmia, as well as cherry eye. We had the cherry eye surgically corrected in September 2011 at a cost of $1300. At that point we contacted Dolores regarding the health issues, and per the initial contract agreed (verbally and in writing) to refund us the $1600 purchase price of the dog, with payment to occur in January 2012. Payment never came and attempts to contact her since then have never been returned. Careful monitoring of the dog's heart condition indicated it worsening in July 2013. We immediately brought the dog to a cardiologist who recommended an immediate balloon valvuloplasty and placement on the beta-blocker atenolol. Two weeks later the $4300 surgery was performed, and despite a positive initial prognosis, our French Bulldog died 9 hours after the procedure, at the age of 2.5.

I cannot emphasize strongly enough that no one should ever have to go through what my wife and I have as a result of careless and irresponsible breeding. While the dog had the best demeanor you could ever ask for, she was otherwise a health tragedy. My wife and I are absolutely heartbroken over the loss of our pup, all of which could have been prevented if these criminals had any sense of ethics or decency.

Our puppy was purchased from Leslie Martin in April of 2013. We too experienced the broken down looking home and the story of how Sandy displaced them. I also noticed the room which was closed with the other puppies, her son who was showing us the French bulldogs said that they were puppy sitting a friends puppy because I noticed a dog of a different breed in their. We also were not able to view the Father of my dog, at the time I didn't think much of it not being experienced in buying a pure bred. Our puppy checked out fine for the first few months, after about 3 months we began to notice what looks like a wart on his ear. Long story short when we went to be fixed at 5 months old the vet did a fine needle aspiration and it came back as a Mast Cell Tumor. We are in the process of getting it removed and finding out a more definitive answer via biopsy and excision. This will tell the grade and stage of cancer. After doing more research I called the ICA to which my puppy is registered, and asked the gentlemen on the phone numerous questions some of which he was able to answer, some he was. I did find out that my puppy is not registered to Leslie Martin he is registered to a puppy store around the corner called APB Kennel. It can be found on google for those of you who find out this information it will give you the address and phone number. I had contacted the Dept. of Argiculture, they can not handle this because she is not a registered NYS breeder, and by law is able to sell 25 dogs per year. They referred me to the Attn General also. We are also looking for some way to get reimbursed to aide in the vet bills. email address alfreds2389@aol.com. Will post with further information from the attn. general.

I am very sorry to report that I have had a similar experience. I bought a very sweet black brindle girl from Dawn and Marie in early May. Within 8 hours of getting her home, she had violent vomit and diarrhea. She would not eat and continued to have diarrhea. After 30 hours, her diarrhea became bloody and she would cry as it passed out of her. Dawn seemed to be a very helpful and wonderful breeder, as she offered all kinds of advice. Eventually Dawn insisted on picking her up and taking her to a vet. I thought she was concerned/being helpful, but I now realize that she was just taking her to a vet that is liklely part of the scheme. The vet, Dr. Ostrovsky at Staten Island Animal Hospital, kept the little girl on supportive care for a few days, but she eventually died. When I tried to get Dr. Ostrovsky to make a diagnosis, he refused to say that it was parvo or another virus, and said that sometimes dogs have gastroenteritis from stress. When I explained to the doctor that I was a lawyer and there was no way he could credibly say my puppy wasn't sick before I brought her home, he suddenly changed his tune and issued a certificate of unfitness for purchase. Dawn agreed to refund the purchase price, but my check has been "in the mail" for the past five weeks, and I've stopped holding my breath. Please respond to this if there is still a group petition of the state AG. The scheme that these people run is awful. The way I see it, I spent a lot of money to experience the death of a sweet puppy.

Hello everyone, we also purchased our EB from leslie and her partner last year. The next day our pup was having explosive diarrhea and vomiting. She was diagnosed with parvovirus. After thousands of dollars of vet bills and several tearful phone calls to leslie to ask for reimbursement for these bills we gave up. She insisted it was a false positive even though more than one doctor confirmed the diagnosis. She kept insisting we go to her vet at Lefferts Animal Hospital (which was where my childhood dog went coincidentally) but I was too far away now to go there without taking a very expensive cab ride with a sick pup. I went once because she insisted, she obviously is friends with the owner since although my pup had an appt with another vet but the owner walked in during the appt and examined her and said she doesn't seem like she has parvo. But this was after spending days in emergency care and days at the regular vet on an IV and receiving a transfusion. I am curious when everyone else got their puppies from her? I wish there was a way to shut her down.

My boyfriend and I bought a puppy from these people, who go by Leslie Martin and her partner Dawn, and she was VERY sick two days later - it happened very suddenly where she became noticeably lethargic and then her body violently expelled every thing in her GI tract from both ends until she was only pooping a WHITE liquid. Luckily, we have a vet who comes to us at any hour and she came at 11pm that same day to administer fluids, anti-nausea meds, etc. She tested positive for giardia and parvovirus, which the vet thought was a false positive due to her recent DPHH vaccination but now thinks she really did have parvo. Two days later she became worse, continuing to throw up anything we force fed her via syringe (she wouldn't eat on her own) and had horrible smelling diarrhea every hour. We then took her to the vet hospital to get her the care she needed - IV fluids and constant care/supervision. Thousands of dollars later, she is doing ok (she is almost 13 weeks) and we love her.

Now more on those breeders: Leslie was in contact with us the first few days and seemed concerned for the puppy when we told her she was sick and in the hospital. We haven't heard from her since. We should've thought twice about those red flags when we went to pick her up at Leslie's house - she had just moved [back] into her home in the Rockaway area of Queens since Sandy flooded their house (the exterior looked as if the house was abandoned and condemned). Secondly, when I first saw the puppy the day before, she had just come from the vet and had throw up all over her from "carsickness, " something that should've alarmed me more than it did. More telling was that they had a room that we shouldn't have seen, as a breeder should have a room for puppies that is "closed to the public for cleanliness reasons, " but my curious boyfriend wandered into it anyway and I followed - it had about 6 or 7 pens full of different breeds of puppies. We didn't see any of the adult/parent puppies either, just the breeder's own French Bulldog. Looking back, of course we should've done more research on these breeders...

We did get a letter from our vet at the vet hospital saying that the puppy was unfit for purchase, which we planned to use to have them reimburse us for her exorbitant vet bills, but as life would have it, we have just been too busy. However, if you would like to contact me (user Love My Dog), I'd be interested in going after them as well. Please email me at nrb985@gmail.com.

If anyone is interested in going after Leslie Martin, please contact me. I have been in contact with the attorney general who is very interested. Please comment back with your contact information if you would like to help put a stop to this madness - so hopefully other people will not have the same fate. My heart goes out to all of you. I too have a sick dog and have spent thousands. Mine is definitely not a full breed and is now going in for surgery that is costing over $2K.

I just bought my puppy Jasmine from them and she has a hear murmur and will only live for the next few months! I am devastated as well as my children. I cannot believe there are sick people out there that are doing this for a living! Jasmin doesn't stand a chance and will never live a healthy happy life! Please do not buy a puppy from this breeder! I am getting ready to file a compliant and make every attempt to get the word out about them!

I hope anyone that considers getting a French Bulldog does not go to www.thefrenchbulldogbreeder.com.
We have had similar experiences as above. We got our dog in April 2011 and she was sick with Parvo within 5 days. After thousands in vet bills, Dolores/Antonio or whatever names they go under said they would reimburse part of the bills as they were "reputable"breeders". However they are actually unscrupulous, deceitful people. They lied saying that they sent a money order for the costs but the money never came. They also stopped responding to our queries by phone, emails etc.
After a year, our poor dog has also had to deal with dectomectic mange which according to our vet in her case is a hereditary disease.
I hope that whoever reads this will NOT go to this breeder as they should be out of business!

We too got sucked in by these people! Our pup was so sick with parvovirus. Spent hundreds on vet bills...poor thing was so dehydrated! Once I told the breeder about my pup...she stopped calling inquiring on how the pup was adjusting. As soon as she heard it was sick she stopped all contact. After several months when my pup was finally healthy I sent them an email asking for some type of reimbursement for the vet bills. Yeah that went nowhere. I also contacted them to tell them that my pup is not a true French Bulldog. She is clearly part Boston Terrier. She has a long body, longer ears and long tail! When we meet other Boston Terriers she looks just like them except all Black. Oh well...we love her anyways!
I'm sorry to hear about your pup and I hope you got another one from another breeder! Dogs are great!
I would love to see these people out of business!
