NASM Nasm is the last recommendation I would ever make to someone

Nasm is the last recommendation I would ever make to someone. I have been dealing with them since March . I signed up for classes during covid and I finished everything on my end. I had my first test in May. I could not take it because there wasn't a rep. to open my test. I talked to multiple people on customer service and they were not helpful at all. I have tried three times to take my test and they will not email me back. There is never a representative there to open my test. Nobody shows up at all. Then my test locks because it is past the 15 min mark. I talk to customer service for hours trying to see what went wrong. I have even had someone leave the chat after not replying after 20 min. I asked if he was still there and then he just left the chatroom. I was so baffled that this company had so many rude people working for them. They weren't any help at all and kept telling me to restart my computer and wifi. That's all. I even emailed them a picture of my internet test which passed with flying colors. This company just does not care about anyone. I call and i'm put on hold for at least an hour ( I hang up after that) and thats calling at least 4 times throughout the day. I have numerous emails going out for seeking help and telling them my experience and wanting my refund($1200). They do not care about your needs or troubles. They only care about their reputation and your money. I have screenshots and proof that I showed NASM over my testing experience to show that it is on their end that constructs the problem. They do not reply on emails. I have to email every two weeks because that's how long I decide to wait. If I do not email them constantly, I would never hear from them. They are extremely disrespectful and unprofessional and do not care about their customers. Because of them I have wasted money, time, respect, and job opportunities. This was the worst experience I have ever endured. I wish I could give them 0 stars because that's too nice to give them 1.

NASM I give this Company zero stars really, except for the kind representative that I spoke with today

I give this Company zero stars really, except for the kind representative that I spoke with today. My biggest complaints lie with the exam process, mainly scheduling. I began this program during the pandemic to give me something to do while my business was shut down. A *** certificate pairs nicely with my current occupation. I ordered the *** guided study, the nutrition and the rehab program for a total of $2327.85. With NASM you have a 28 day time period to get a refund. Seriously, 28 days is not an acceptable amount of time to know if this program is going to workout. I was not thrilled with the program, but figured by the time I made that decision it was too late. You do not really delve into the content and quite frankly there should be virtual classes instead of the "guided" program i paid extra for. It was basically me teaching my self with someone occasionally commenting on platform questions ( barely were mine ever commented on). Personal Training is very much a visual hands on occupation and using virtual classes could really help develop better trainers. Anyway, That's not my real beef. When it came down to scheduling my exam, IT WAS A NIGHTMARE! Somehow with the first platform they used, it was a huge challenge to figure out how to schedule your exam. I was very frustrated and didn't have a lot of time to mess with it due to the economy opening back up and getting slammed at my business. FInally I had time to schedule only to find out that my exam had been scheduled and I missed it! WHat?! No notification or anything. Had to call, email, call again to get a hold of someone to figure out what in the world happened. Finally spoke to someone and she reset my testing account. I was told that would be the last time I could take my test. This put me almost a year after I had originally signed up. I was almost done paying for three courses and hadn't even taken one exam yet. I received an email telling me to go to a new testing site (thank heavens a new site). Scheduled my exam a few weeks out to refresh my memory. The day for the exam comes and goes. no email to tell me how to set up, no reminder nothing. So frustrating. Had to call again to complain! Same resolution, I can schedule again. Scheduled yet again. This time I received emails with some instruction and to set up uproctor what kind of computer is excepted. Great info since I use an unacceptable computer and had to make accommodations. I get everything set in a quiet space and am told by the *** that I need to have the main door behind me...okay. Then I am told I cannot take the exam unless I am in a chair and have a hard surface. This is information that should be told prior to the exam. My situation is one that I would need to make accomodations for that. Yet again, I can not take the exam and have to reschedule. I called again! I do not even want to take the exam now. My time is practically up and I havent even taken the other two classes yet or their exams. I supposedly can't get a refund because of the 28 day period, but it is too much of a stressful hassle to keep doing this. $2327.85 is too much money to have to go through all this for a subpar program! They get no stars from me, but i am forced to give one!

I canceled my plan and the girl said I had to file a form. I never did but during that time I injured my back and nothing ever happened to nasm getting back. I got a call from collections saying I owed money but I never went through with the program. I don’t even care about getting my 1k back but I shouldn’t pay for a service I never received.

NASM I filed a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com in the past involving National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)

I filed a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com in the past involving National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I filed this complaint because I have attempted to reach out to NASM countless times attempting to appeal my account with them because I was in the process with another employer and no longer wanted to pursue a career in personal training. I have attempted to contact an employee with NASM through their customer service number several times in the past and either didnt reach anyone or was told that I could cancel the card on file and stop paying altogether. I did not want to do that as I did not want to cause issues with NASM or my credit in the future and wanted to go about my appeal the right way. When I would speak with an employee, I explained my issue and they advised me to email NASM regarding my appeal, which I did several times.*** reached out to me regarding my appeal and asked me to provide documentation to support my appeal, which I did. Unfortunately I had to redact most of the letter I received due to the sensitivity of information contained within the letter. I attempted to reach out to *** several times after that and did not hear back from him for quite some time. When I finally did hear back from him, he said the documentation I submitted was not adequate enough. I then contacted NASM and asked the employee I spoke with to cancel my card on file because I no longer wanted to continue paying. My card was canceled and I filed a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com.In July a employee by the name of *** called me and left a voicemail regarding my appeal and complaint with the Complaintsboard.com. *** advised she wanted to work with me to resolve my complaint. I called *** back three times and left voicemails each time. I am not sure when the first call was but it was before 07/21 because that was when I made the second call at 6:24 AM. The third and final call was made on 07/22 at 4:51 PM. I still have not heard back from *** to date.

NASM I signed up for their on line course around November

I signed up for their on line course around November . I contracted Covid and was hospitalized on January 3 with acute respiratory failure due to pneumonia in both lungs. I was fortunate to have survived. However, I didn't escape unscathed. Unfortunately, Covid caused irreversible damage at its wake. I contacted NASM and explained the situation of my no longer being able to continue the course. They responded that I passed the 28 day *** of requesting a refund. I told them I understood that but I wasn't expecting to get so sick and deal with the after effects of surviving a severe case of Covid. After the back and forth by phone and emails, they said for me to send an appeal by email to *** and submit the medical paperwork supporting why I can't continue with the online course. So I provided what I had; hospital discharge papers with diagnoses, and other medical paperwork supporting this. They wrote back and said I had to wait 15 business days for their decision. After fifteen days passed, they wound up denying my appeal for inadequate medical proof. I called them. They told me that I had to get a doctor's note explaining that I can no longer continue course. I reached out to my doctor, she was kind enough to write the letter. I sent it to NASM, they wrote back wanting more information included in the letter. I bothered my busy doctor again, she graciously revised the letter. I resent it. NASM wrote back stating my appeal is pending and l'll have to wait another 15 business days for their decision. They are giving me a hard time in the midst of my still being sick and trying to recover. I think what they are doing is unfair and cruel. I'm requesting they accept my appeal and disenroll me from the online course and stop charging my credit card monthly. I've already contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute. I'm asking NASM to do the right thing based on extenuating and unforeseen circumstances that was out of my control. Thank you.

NASM When I purchased the nutritional coaching certification course from NASM, we resided in ***

When I purchased the nutritional coaching certification course from NASM, we resided in ***. Business was originally conducted via internet and online services for the class portal was paid in full. Unbeknownst at that time, the one year completion for certification started the day the courses were purchased(10), rather than the day of initial login and actually use of study guide/online course. In February 2022, personal reasons relocated me to HawaiiUSA. Around or about that time, I made phone contact with NASM customer service to cancel my subscription due to life changing events. Per customer service, I would need to petition this life changing event BUT at that time, *** offered a one time, one year extension to my online N.C certification to complete the courses. I was in the middle of a move and decided to continue with my written complaint for a full refund ($695). Two weeks later, my request was denied by upper management and a generic vm was left with these findings.I officially moved into my new residence in *** by summer so I decided to contact customer service to ask for their original grace *** of a one-time, full year extension to complete my courses. I spoke to *** yesterday who advised that I would now, only be granted a free 30-day extension to my online course completion certification. However, for an additional $200, NASM would extend my subscription for another year. I sat on the phone for over an hour trying to utilize my original offer without penalty or additional charges to no avail. *** was unable to transfer, provide a phone number or an email address to her lead associate *** P or his manager *** Due to my time change I requested to schedule an actual phone conversation rather than have them call me back at their earliest convenience within the next 1 to 2 business days. I am very upset with their lack of empathy, any attempt to work with me and customer assistance with this matter.

NASM I signed up with NASM to obtain my nutrition, and physical personal training license

I signed up with NASM to obtain my nutrition, and physical personal training license. A month into the program I was getting phone calls and emails saying that I was missing payments, and my account had been suspended...this was odd because I had set up autopay. After finally getting ahold of someone, it turns out that two loans were taken out under my name; the first loan was for what I had actually signed up for, and the second loan that was taken out without my knowledge for double the price. Immediately after this issue I wanted to cancel my account and no longer work with this company. I felt that it was very unorganized, unprofessional, and shady on their behalf to open up another loan for double the price; let alone not even catch that they were withdrawing money from my bank twice a month. After the phone call, l I was under the impression that my account did in fact get cancelled because I was receiving account suspension emails, and no longer had access to go online. The only mistake on my end was not checking my bank statements... I was not able to access anything on my account but I was still getting charged. I attempted to contact NASM over the phone, but wait time exceeded over an hour. I sent countless emails, and never got any response back about the cancellation of my account and getting a refund for the payments made. ironically they can take out monthly payments, but are too busy to call their members back. It took several months for NASM to finally get me in contact with a manager. When she called, she said there is nothing she can do in terms of a refund, and the best she can offer me is to cancel my account, and I will not have to pay the remaining balance. So essentially they got to keep over 500 dollars for unanswered phone calls, emails, and no access to my student account during the months money was being withdrawn. I want acknowledgement from someone higher up than a manager, and a better solution. Getting to keep 500 dollars for an account I never had access too, and no response for months is like stealing!
