Mr Price Group / MRP Rude behavior

I was at Mr Price Rustenburg so by the door when I arrived I had some parcel of which was closed/sealed from the previous shop so the person whom I got at the door was very rude to me when I tried to ask if they are sealing the products again he started shouting "You don't tell me what to do,you don't instruct me" I was really quiet because I didn't understand why he is shouting he went on "You don't say your own rules,you chose not to have order and you bring it here" I was soo hurt I even left the store

He could've just told me nicely that no even if you have tapes or staples from the previous store we have to insert ours

Incident happened at around 13:35 Thursday 28 March, Mr Price Rustenburg

Recommendation: Be humble as much as you can, no matter what you might be going through

Mr Price Group / MRP Enlisting my name on credit berau while I never used my account.

I opened a Mr Price account online and went into the store to collect the approved card from Mr Price in Postmansburg. The following week a consultant called me starting to explain and asking details of me my children and as we were talking the network went off and did not call back for confirmation to continue taking out policies on my account. When the account was approved it was with a credit of R750.

So before month end I got a statement saying I owe them R250. I went to the store to quiery the statement and the cashier told me not to pay as I did not use the account yet and if it is insurance he will request a cancellation. So I went home and tried calling Mr Price insurance department many times. Most of the time they would just the line in my ear than I will call back again until I have no airyime left. They day when I got a consultant to assist for this cancellation she only cancelled and send one message and said should it not change I must call in again. I went back to the store to report and get assistance in Posmansburg with no luck the Manager only took my number and said she will send an email took my details but nothing happend. I tried calling her no luck and send whatsup message only than she responded. So by end July I got my statement again that I dont owe anything. I tried a car application just to find out I am placed on credit berau for not paying a R670 that was billed without my approval of insurance. was told in the shop not to pay as I did not use the account.

I wanted to close the account but I am billed for something I did not even use or wanted. How will my name be cleared.

Mr Price Group has certainly turned what should have been a straightforward account opening into a frustrating and confusing ordeal. You’ve shown remarkable patience in dealing with all the unnecessary charges and lack of proper communication from their side. It’s almost like they’re trying to add layers of complexity where there shouldn’t be any. It’s understandable that you’re frustrated, especially when this situation has affected your credit. Here’s hoping they finally take responsibility and clear your name as they should have from the beginning. Keep pushing for the resolution you deserve.

Good Day.

Hope this finds you well.

It has come to my attention that there's no progress about this matter. Therefore I kindly request a refund or another phone, I bought my cell phone Mobicel VX18, original IMEI NUMBER IS [protected], late last year 03-11-2023 it didn't last for long I then took it back to Mr price cellular 10 days after purchasing.

That was shocking but I thought it was a minor fault, Come December holidays it stops working again. took it back again. 12th January 2024 because I was away for the holidays.

I have been going back and forth at this store for repairs only and no answers, 28-02-2024 was the third time and today is the date it's 22 April 2024. I haven't received any update and no one at Mr price cellular in Nonesi Mall has answers about this, this has inconvienced me in so many ways. please kindly attend to this matter.

Mr Price Group / MRP Refund still not for over 4 months waiting

Good day the attached document are not even clear anymore and this because at your service at branch levels is null and void.

Please take note the reversal was done on 29th December 2023 for an amount R429.98, your tax credit note number appears as 2-62167 @ 10:57:33 your is the 1 in Songozwi street Louis Trichardt, I’ll need you to refund my money as I asked for right from the beginning and would not even consider a voucher mostly because of this incident holding me ransom for such a long period, so please do not even suggest this.

The first item was as I can remember a white long dress with big blue polka dots (code-102326 (or could be 8) 510 an the other was a small size dress (code [protected]) that is about what I can see and this was quite lovely wanted this for myself, but you had no other size available

I need this funds immediately as 4 months is just way out of question

Mr Price Group / MRP Boxers

good day

trust all is well

i have purchased a pack of x3 boxers and on the package it states it is a extra large as soon as i got home i saw that the product itself says that it is a large and not does not correspond with the packaging , unfortunately i will not be able to go back to swop it as i can not drive up and down to correct the mistake that the BAYWEST branch has made. I have to take the loss now.

Mr Price Group / MRP Service

I have been looking of where to report this bad service I was rendered on the 02nd of march 2024. So this is what happened, I made laybye and take it out, after 2/3 days I find that I want to exchange one of the item, but make another laybye with that money. So I explained to this guy and he said they dont give cash back but he will give me a gift card, ok and say I can go check what I want to laybye and it must be from 3 items, ok fine, I got my things and I get to the tills, he just scanned the items and tell me total amount and i'm like I would like to make a laybye. He said to me with attitude how is he supposed to know because he's a cashier& he thought i'm buying, I politely said to him if you don't know something you should ask&you know you have laybye or purchase on store. And again l know u dealing with many customers but I just took 20 min to choose my clothes already you forgotten me. He then said he's helping me so i'm the one who should explain if i'm buying or doing laybye then i'm like ok to avoid drama. Only to find that there's two ladies listening to our conversation (his colleagues), he then start process of laybye and then when i'm about to pay he see that I cannot laybye with a gift card, I asked why didn't you tell me because I explained what I want to do with this money.1st you can't give me cash back which is not stipulated on the slip that return of lay-bys you get a gift card and then now u saying this.. He then say he don't know what to do and i'm wasting his time he want to do housekeeping so he's gonna ask for authorise to cancel the transaction and then when I think of something the next till will help me, just like that. Leave me by the counter and then l decided to leave and one of the two ladies who saw that something is misunderstood asked me if i'm o. On top of that they don't even have name batch him and the person who was authorising. He also just kept quiet not even showing interest to explain to me that they didn't understand and they are sorry they can't help me simple. Not the attitude the cashier gave me.

Mr Price Group / MRP Unprofessional service from Mr Price home consultants, and quality issues with couch purchased

Good day

This is rather frustrating to keep looking for contact details for Mr Price home customer care department as none of those agents are helpful or even doing their jobs.

For the last year I have been trying to get assistance on a couch that I purchased from Mr Price Home, I have called many times to a point where I now need to throw away thousands of rands I spent on a couch that is defective - there are springs that protruding from the couch to a point I cannot sit on it anymore.

The consultants do not know how to deal with my queries and therefore transferring me, hanging up the call and not assisting is frustrating for anyone to deal with. The consultant Thembeka says you guys have a policy - and I told her you guys were helping me last year and since then all my emails went unanswered!

I do not understand how customer care is now regarded as tolerating the customer - this is unacceptable

Mr Price Group / MRP Extremely incompetent bad customer service

Good day, to whom it may concern. I went to the Menlyn MPH branch in order to find a gardening tool-set, which I saw at the MPH branch at The Grove Mall, last week. It is a set that consists of a small gardening fork, a spade, and I think gloves. I asked a MPH employee if he can tell me where in the shop I might find the set, for I couldn't see it at the garden department. I had to explain 4 times what I was looking for. He then took off, not saying anything. He walked in at a back door and came out with another employee, who actually greeted me. The second employee asked what I was looking for and typed it in on some form of a computer I suppose and talked to the first guy and walked off. There I stood, waiting patiently for some or any form of communication regarding my request. He scrolled and scrolled and scrolled and frowned the whole time, making it very clear to me that he has NO idea himself of what to do or what he is searching for. He took off again, no eye contact, no communication towards me regarding if he is going to find help or going on a teabreak or lunch break or nothing. He just left. There I stood. I decided to leave about 5 minutes in the very last waiting period in. Why should I or anybody be treated like this in our beautiful country. Incompetently, disrespectfully, with no integrity at all? There are many white people looking for a job, who has actually been trained, is capable of the BASIC communication skills, is eager and competent to help customers. Why must I go to a shop to purchase a item and be approached by a lack of knowledge, basic humanity skills and walk out without even a basic answer or ANY kind of service? The service was extremely bad!

Mr Price Group / MRP Mrp sim card

I was tricked into porting my number. I received a call from one of your consultants an Indian lady, She told me about the SIM card services of which I rejected from the the beginning I specifically told her that I do not need it but I will give to my little brother. Even when she read out the porting/Swoping of my number I told her I don’t want that option, to my surprise my number does not work my service provider can’t assist me. Fix it, you Need to fix it. It’s a huge inconvenience for me I cannot do my work, school and my child’s school use this number for calls and information sharing. Fix It!

Mr Price Group / MRP Non delivering of paid for goods

I bought a couch from your Retail Crossing branch on Friday 29 December, 2023. Both the cost of the couch and the delivery thereof was paid on the same day in store. Raymond, the employee who assisted with purchasing the couch said that it would take up to 5 days for the couch to be delivered - day 5 was on 8 January 2024. I followed up with Mr Price on 9 January after the couch was not delivered. I was informed that they were still waiting on the courier to respond and would get an answer by 16h00. No feedback was given.

I tried to follow up today, 11 January 2024, and after waiting for 15 (fifteen) minutes on the line, NO ONE bothered to assist me. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I have PAID for the couch and delivery! The least you can do is come to the phone to assist a client!

Mr Price Group / MRP Cellphone insurance

Good day

I'm Lerato Thabede, Mr Price account holder. In May 2021 I bought a phone (Samsung Galaxy A12) at Mr Price Store, days after the purchase, I received a call from Mr Price Phone Insurance. I then took the insurance over the phone of course. My phone got lost on the 12th of May 2023, on the 15th of May 2022 I went to Town (Vaal mall) to enquire on how to report a stolen/lost phone at Mr Price store. I was then told by the lady who is working with phones there at Mr Price Vaal mall store, that I must check my emails and look for the insurers email about the policy that I took with them as its not done at their store. It made sense what she said, so I went to Telkom for them to blacklist that phone same day.

When I got home, I went through my emails to check if I did receive anything from Mr Price about the insurance/ from the insurance, and the was nothing.

Later when I was shopping for a new phone since I no longer have a phone, I met these guy who is working at Mr Price store at Thabong Mall who is working with phones. I got curious while looking at those phone at their stand, I asked him ' incase of stolen/lost phones what is the procedure because I did buy a phone here and got it insured but I was never assisted at Vaal mall till today I'm still clueless on what to do', then he explained everything that I needed to do and send those documents to the email address that was on the card that he gave to me. I did exactly what he said I must do, it's now November 2023. On the 17th November I compiled all the needed documents including the affidavit from the Police station, 22nd November I sent the documents to the email address that's on that card, got an automated reply from that email address. I decided to call them on the 031 number on that card, I spoke with Ibrahim Mbalane and he said I must fill in their claim form, he sent it to me via email, I filled it and sent it back together with other documents same day. I waited for their call and nothing, on the 12th December I gave them a call and now I was been assisted by Christopher Ngiba, I had to explain my story again to him, he asked that I resend those documents to him so that he can have a look on them, I did exactly that and waited to hear from him but nothing. On the 14th December I called again and this time I requested to speak with Ibrahim Mbalane or Christopher Ngiba, and it was Ibrahim on the line, I then told him who am I, he checked his system and said to me I was suppose to make a claim within 30 days (of which I did but I was not assisted at Vaal mall) so now I must go to Vaal mall and ask them to give me a letter stating that I came to their store on this date but I did not get proper help. I went to Vaal mall on the 2nd January 2024 and that lady who works with phones was on leave and return on the 4th January, the lady we spoke to was very helpful and told me to go to Mr Price Cellular and see if they could help, I went there and explained my story then the lady called Mr Price headoffice told them my story and they transferred her call to the insurance company, she explained the reason for her call and they asked to speak with me, I then spoke to Bryan Watkinn he told me that they won't be able to process my claim since it only got to them after 30 day that is stipulated on their contract/policy then I asked him that, 'how come I don't have a copy of that policy, what are you hiding? don't you think, if I had the copy things were going to be better than what is happening right now, he said ma'am I am sorry but that the law, then I said to him please give me all my premiums back and said its not possible. I got angry and took the phone back to Mr Price cashier who was helping me and she spoke with them, then they decided to send me a form were I can ask for my premiums back.

Claimed loss: I had to buy a new phone, had to call them more than 3 times because they did not return to me after receiving my emails.

Desired outcome: Please process my claim as it was not my fault not to have their contact numbers or copy of their policy.

Mr Price Group / MRP Lay bye unwrapped

I made lay bye in middelburg mall on 21 oct made 2nd payment on the 20th of november yesterday de 14th I came to collect was advised store room is a mess I must come back on the 15th @8 then to my surprise lay bye is missing they will check for me in other shops whereas I told them I am going somewhere need de clothes. Manager pule not seeing anything wrong with this I just need to realize that they know it's their mistake and they acknowledge their mistake nje mina I should understand. Staff negligent including manager. I advised the manager that I give him until monday the 18th to give me feedback actually my clothes, until today I haven't received a call from him and I want my clothes as I have chosen them.

Desired outcome: i need the missing clothes that was in the lay bye and i will not pay the balance, the negligent staff and manager need to make sure it is fully paid and submitted to me. i will not go to the shop they have to deliver to me

Miladys Account Number: 0386486476, Date Account Opened 06/11/2023.

I arrived at your Centurion Mall Miladys outlet for an account payment and purchase, only to be informed that my account has been "maxed out" and I will need to pay in more than the required payment to purchase the items as required.

From your store manager's investigation via the local point of sales account summary, it is clear that the items purchased on 18 November at your MR PRICE outlet at Shouthdale and Mall of Africa are fraudulent transactions as it was not done by me.

I was instructed that it would be advisable to have the account blocked and that I need to do a written statement made under oath (An affidavit) at my nearest police station and attach the “print screen/photo” from your point of sales system done at your Centurion Mall Miladys outlet of the fraudulent transaction and submit it via email to the MR PRICE, Fraud@mrpricegroup.com

Could you please earnestly assist in resolving the matter and have the fraudulent transaction amount refunded to my account?

Please find attached a copy of the following documentation.

A written statement made under oath (An affidavit)

Copy of my ID

the “print screen/photo” from your point of sales system is done at your Centurion Mall Miladys outlet.

Mr Price Group / MRP Over charged

So my account with Mr price has been in arrears so I've been paying off the account by being debited every 27th so this month I had to pay debit R816 so I paid it off before the 27th so I still got debit R816 , I tried calling the mr price Durban numbers no call was answered and I found an email [protected]@mrpg.com and the email didn't go through all I ask for is an refund please

I wanna complain about your incompetence and harassment i have been getting from you for the past 3 years.I had a 24 months contract i took and Ended on the 31 January 2020 and i canceled my contract Before the 20th of January so that it doesn't fall in February.but it did fall to Feb and was paid up and stopped.and later on was told to pay R250 which i did pay and sent proof of payment yet am still getting emails and calls about that account and its not my Fault that someone did not do their Job on your side.Since our calls are recorded i demand my call records for January - feb 2020 to confirm what am saying and clear my name.since you guys handend this to your lawyers i will do the same and we do it by law.Please track all my payments and arrangements for my contract to be canceled.its not my problem your employees did not do their Job and update my cancelation after i took my Tim and airtime to call.if calls are truly recorded then you have my record and the person who was helping me must be held accountable do what is due because some how the Job was not done.

Mr Price Group / MRP Online service

i bought a phone online Monday last week on the 6th Mr price promised the last day for the delivery will be Monday the 13th..when tract my order it was delivered but the drive could get the access to the address. but i didn't get any massage that the driver is on his way or whatever. after that the they authorized to return back the parcel to the sender of which that is Mr price branch.. when i track the order again it was misplaced.. i tried to contact Mr price they said they will contact the courier when i contact the courier they said the return the order to the sender which is Mr price branch. again i contacted Mr price they said they will refund me once received the order.. my question who asked for the refund?and why must i wait for their own mistakes in order to get my refund?

now I must wait for 7 working days for them to receive the order from the courier in order to be refunded and wait another working days for the money to reflect after i already waited a week for the phone so basically that is a month

My sister is being personally bullied by a lady called Phutego Seanego at Mr Price [protected]@Reds she comes home everyday crying about this lady who treats her badly that she believes she has a personal vendetta against her, she always threatens my sister by giving her warnings even over little mistakes, My sister is not allowed to make even the slightest mistake she literally yells at her in front of customers and i went there few days ago to witness this and during my sisters lunch and knock off time she was crying and went home crying still because it ended up being hard for her to contain this whole thing, Phutego wants her out of that store because she always mentions her being fired, or things like if my sister wants to resign she must just do it. She's been trying to contact their complaints board but can't seem to reach out to them and to our Findings my sister is not the only one who's been bullied by this Phutego there's also a young lady who used to work in Pretoria where phutego was also shared her story to my sister, so I'm asking if the situation is like this what must happen next because my sisters mental health is being purposely provoked each and eceryday that she says her work environment is toxic and only because of one person. There are certain things or should i say rules set my the company that everyone has the right to do but just my sister is not allowed to do. She gives good customer service but still seems to be a problem for her assistant manager. Please do help us find a way on how to deal with this Phutego because as much as she wants my sister out of mr price she does wanna resign because of her but she can't because she's got responsibilities but cannot take the bad treatment she's getting from the store's assistant manager.

Mr Price Group / MRP Bracelets butterfly

I bought Bracelets butterfly on 23/10/2023 around 12:05 at Thabong Shopping Centre l put them in a bag. Yesterday l went back to work with the bag without taking them out. So I went to Evaton mall to pay my account n get few things when I was done a security searched my bag as normal found them in there he asked for a slip told him the slip is at home because l forgot the product in my bag. He gave me attitude leaving me unattended bare in mind I'm still at work l called at home trying for someone to send me the slip but couldn't get hold of anyone. So l had to wait for nothing till l decided to tell him I'll come back tommorow which is today.. Firstly the product have a code why didn't the scan to see its not theirs or check the cctv but they treated me like a criminal I'm not happy with their service now l have to ask from work to go back to fetch them

Desired outcome: For to apologise for making me wait without doing any effort of checking either I'm telling the truth or not

Mr Price Group / MRP Fraud on my MrPrice acc

On the 22/10/2023 there were two cell phone purchases done on my acc amounting to R5500 in total. These were not made by me,and were made in Lenasia and Soweto. I don’t know how the purchase was done as my store card was with me. This is a clear case of fraud.all this I discovered when I went to the store on 07/10/2023 When I was trying to make a purchase and I was told that I don’t have enough credit. This was alarming as I know that I was only left with about 1 instalment to finish paying the acc
