I saw all the ads on TV from the owner and never did trust his smiling face. He looked like a ripoff artist talking about how his mother always told him to "be an honest man" and all that other BS. Anyway, my kitchen sink got plugged with coffee grinds this morning and I remembered he had a $49 special going on so I gave him a call. When the technician was done the bill for the job was actually $320 because he said the P-trap connections were glued on versus screw-on.
I should have trusted my instincts and not fallen for this classic "bait and switch". If you read other reviews, you'll see he has a long reputation for over-charging the customer and upselling basic services. I don't normally post reviews unless a service or product is really bad. In this case, don't call John Moore unless you want to end up poor!
Desired outcome: No bait and switch. If you say you will unplug a drain for $49 on TV, then don't change the price at the customers house.
