John and David were great. I really like JD Service Now. It was a simple fix today and probably most people would have been able to do it themselves. However, my husband and I are elderly and find it hard to get down near the floor to fix anything. John and David were super polite and while here we had them do some maintenance which they carried out efficiently. This is the 2nd time we have used JD Service Now and will not hesitate to call them again.

This is the second time JD services has won my business over competitor's. Even though the price from coordinator was comparable their customer service won out. There customer service is top notch and technicians friendly and personable. They really know their stuff. JD let's you know every two hours about their progress in showing up for the job and if it weren't raining that day I called they could have completed the work the same day . Good Job JD ?

The service was fine, job finished in a timely manner. Masks and booties were used. The guys had to run to get the part: Cash Acme T&P safety relief valve.

But the markup on the needed part was OUTRAGEOUS: I was charged $325.76 for a the T&P Pressure Safety Relief valve for my 3 yrs old water heater (that they installed), but after a bit of research the most expensive cost for the part was less than $30.00, actually Home Depot has it for $16.00. RIPOFF

How can JD Service justify this? I will never use this company again!

JD Service Now technician was on time, explained his first efforts was to take photos while servicing the dual HVAC at my home. The technician explained the identified areas of concern with both units being 15 years old and within minutes after departure emailed me options for repair, service, prevention and clean up while also offering full replacement and associated costs. I am now impressed with JD Service so much so that all my plumbing, water system service and care, heat and a/c will all be with this company. 5 Stars but especially in direct communication and follow up!

I have worked with JD Service Now and they were far beyond what I had expected when I made the appointment. I had a leaking ceiling that was not what we had first expected.

Although I was horrified by the revelations of condensation between floors from a faulty HVAC unit, all three employees were energetic, professional and well-rounded individuals looking to ease my stress and answer my many questions. I felt cared after and fully kept in the loop with every issue and option we had at the ready.

I highly recommend this team as your first call should an issue come up.

Very professional and excellent service. I have used other companies over the years, and decided to switch to JD Service Now because my daughter used them. I started with a simple preventative maintenance (PM) inspection and signed up for their program. I knew what they should do for an HVAC P.M. visit. When I asked the scheduler, she outlined everything they would do. Pretty impressive. The technician, John Doe, was knowledgeable and professional. I use ComplaintsBoard.com when searching for service companies and read their reviews. JD Service Now had good reviews and good responses. Would highly recommend them.

JD Service Now provided excellent service, he came out & provided one of my bi-annual HVAC system checks! Love the ARHPP Membership, it is a great value in taking care of my home. The member champion Sarah ROCKS, she always takes time to answer all my questions! JD did a great job doing a complete evaluation of my system. Took time to explain everything & provide options allowing me to decide what's important to me! Decided to be proactive & go with a level cleaning to keep everything running correctly. Kimberly that answered my call provided a great customer service as well! A 5 STAR company! Thanks

We signed up for JD Service Now's monthly maintenance program, which includes 2 preventative maintenance visits (one in the spring, the other in the fall). Each time the technician arrived on time, was polite, professional, and knowledgeable. They identified an item that although working, could lead to a problem down the road with the unit not working. I'm inclined to have preventative maintenance done vs. having to call for service when a system quits working. I like paying a small monthly fee for this level of service and appreciate working with service technicians who know what they are doing. Plus the documentation for the work done and things to consider for the future is excellent. I can highly recommend JD Service Now.

Great guys working for JD's always personable and very knowledgeable. We discuss my problems and they come up with solutions and give me quotes on what it will cost me to have repairs done. I opt for a yearly subscription when it comes to my HVAC so I look for companies who do a good job at a reasonable price.
I see that they probably charge more than an independent but their work is good and they are quick and prompt. I don't want to do the repairs myself and companies like XYZ are charging $300.00 for their yearly contract plus repairs...so JD's is working within my budget so far.
The only concern that I have is they are located in Durham and that usually puts me on the bottom of the list because I am in ABC, so I don't know how quickly I could get an emergency response if I ever needed one.

JD Service Now, my rep with JD plumbing, has been to my home twice now.

He has such a good, customer service oriented, positive attitude! I really lucked out when they assigned *** to my account. He has been prompt and efficient in addressing my plumbing needs.

So far he has replaced a new toilet, adjusted my water heater, unclogged a sink... and next week will replace a new kitchen sink and relocate the hot and cold water faucets, put in another new toilet, and give me an estimate to put in a new dishwasher.

I am so impressed with JD Plumbing (Service Now). I originally knew about them as my boss has used them commercially for the last eight years. He is a stickler for the job to be done correctly, timely, and professionally, and JD Service Now did not disappoint residentially.

I have used JD Service Now for HVAC and plumbing needs on multiple occasions. Each time I am impressed with all representatives of the company from initial call, their outreach to keep you informed of technician arrival status/other pertinent information and the actual technician appointments. I think it is a great, very appreciated customer focused process. They are extremely thorough in their diagnostics, offer all possible solutions to each problem and are transparent and fair with pricing. I also like that you can request the same technician for subsequent issues you may have for a similar service call (i.e, can most often request to have the same HVAC guy come out). I think that is a nice feature of their service when possible. They may not always be the cheapest, but they consistently do excellent work, are very reliable, honest and always timely. Those customer service qualities are hugely important to me. I highly recommend JD Service Now to others and plan to continue using them for all my HVAC and plumbing needs in the future.

I think JD plumbing is a serious ripoff! I have a house that is 17 years old and I was the one that had it built and have lived in it since then. The plumber at that time use brass fittings with brazed in tubes. Over the years they have broken down and started leaking. I have had several replaced but still have 6 and one is leaking. I called JD Plumbing and they came out that after noon to give me a quote to replace the last 6! I am expecting $600.00 or $700.00. Well by time they were done they wanted 1) $17,570.13 to replace all the plumbing in the whole house! 2) $9,102.43 to install a water softener! 3) $7,148.75 to fix leaks and I am not sure! 4) $2,276.34 just to do my original request to replace the old fittings! When I said that they were way to costly they left. However, afterwards I tried to turn on my water AND I HAD NONE! I CALLED JD PLUMBING TO FIND OUT WHAT THEY HAD DONE AND TO COME FIX IT! TIM THE GENERAL MANAGER SAID HE WOULD HAVE TO CHARGE ME $99.00 SERVICE CALL IF IT WASN'T SOMETHING THAT THEY HAD DONE! Now you know that they will say they had nothing to do with the the problem! I did not trust them to come back out!

JD installed my TWO new Trane XR home AC units about 4 years ago. Within the first year, I had to call them back out multiple times due to some issue with the new units. The following year, I had to call them out yet again, to do repairs on the same units. They came out, they fixed the problem.
The following year after that, I kept having problems. More repairs were needed. On units that were brand new. Eventually, I stopped calling all together and called a different company in hopes that someone else could make repairs that could keep these units running for longer than a year.
It's been 4 years since the new units were installed, and I've had technicians out every single year, sometimes multiple times a year. I just found out today, that one of the AC units, that JD installed, needs a coil replacement. The part is under warranty but it's also on a month and half back order due to covid. So now I have a leaky AC unit that runs out of refrigerant ($400 to refill) every 11 days and I can't make the necessary $1800 repair to stop the leak until the part gets in.

Bad manufacturing? Bad installation? Both? Can't wait for next years repair.

I rarely take time to write up a review but due to the predatory nature of JD Service Now I had to take the time to do it. I need a garbage disposal installed, so I called and reached a call center rep who booked my appointment but wouldn't provide any idea of cost over the phone. For $59 they would send a tech out to my home, should I proceed with install this $59 was to be credited to my account. On the morning of install I received a text and an email with the techs name and phone, very professional. Ten minutes after the tech arrived I had a quote for $846.94. I asked how long would this job take and was told 2-3 hours max. This was a new disposal install but all the electrical was done, countertop switch was installed and I had the disposal. $846 for 2 hours of work. A plumbing tech might make $25-$40 an hour or depending on experience. At this point you have a tech in your home, you've paid your fee and nearly feel obligated to use them. I called a local, also licensed, plumber and received a quote over the phone of $150-$200. At this point I've got a survey and replied with a frown, I got a call from a gentleman who I suppose was the service manager explaining away why they charge so much. Who cares? How can one plumber make a perfectly good living charging fair prices and yet you have this large company, doing far more business taking advantage of people daily. I'm concerned for all those that see the phenomenal *** reviews and so quickly trust a company based on that, these stellar reviews allow this company to further take advantage of their customers.
Get multiple quotes, buyer beware.

This company grossly overcharges for work. They contacted me after I filled out an online form seeking help with a gas leak. They don't know what they are doing regarding a gas leak. The man was here for an entire afternoon and charged me $570. I was confused from the beginning because he said he found 3 leaks by the boiler. Another gas company had tightened the fitting on one of those places. Another company left just before he arrived. They didn't find any leaks at that spot and that was not the problem. They said they did not have the knowledge or expertise to help me, charged me a minimum charge and left. That's what JD should have done. They are totally not capable of this work. He did change some fittings at the furnace but since the leak was on the other side of the house none of that mattered. The original gas line was removed, a new meter installed, and the gas line runs a different direction than the original line. Everything JD did was removed by the company that repaired the leak. Further proof they don't know what to do is when the man left he said he would get with his main gas man and draw up a proposal for the repair and submit a quote. I never received a quote because they had no idea what to do. I also never received an invoice until I disputed the charges and they sent it to my credit card company. JD states they don't charge by the hour but by the job. If anyone knew upfront a 45 minute job would cost $570 they would say no. I was not given that opportunity. The other gas company and the company that did the repair found the leak in 30 minutes. I requested a credit of 1/2 the amount charged and they won't even talk to me. The manager kept saying I should have called the original installer. My home was built in 1965 and I feel sure the warranty is expired. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Since I am elderly and handicapped it's going to be hard for me to take them to court but there's no alternative.

Unreliable and faulty service every time Do not stand by their work and avoid responsibility I have had this company perform service on my tankless water heater and whole house filter for over 4 years The latest services to the tankless water heater have been subpar. On 2/1 they "cleaned, flushed etc" the appliance. I had to call them a month later (3/2) as the system was inoperable. The result was that the filters were clogged na never had been cleaned as they claimed in the previous visit. They still charged me fo this visit and discharged any responsibility. Then they came cam to perform the annual service to the water heater on 3/24 The technician left and within 2 hrs the system became inoperable (no hot water). It took an effort to get them back here to solve the issue that was caused by incompetency of the technician. At that same visit they allegedly replaced my whole house water filter. Since then I have been noticing increased debris and black deposits in my water in ALL parts of the house. I monitored for a while until it now, when it is intolerable amounts of debries. They came out today (April 22) and said it had nothing to do with them. Problem is that this started to happen only when they replaced the whole house water filter. This had not happened before. Once again here they have dodged responsibility. These people charge premium money for their 'Services" and will not do a reliable job. I would like consumers to be aware that their operations are not reliable. I had submitted complains to their customer service department that have gone completely ignored.
