Florida sunroom
I do not recommend horizon improvements on 9 mile. We signed a contract november 2021 for a hurricane proof windows sunroom with half brick knee wall and it’s still not completed. Horizon Improvements, Inc. has made a lot of promises to keep workers on my project until it's finished, but they haven't followed through. They only have one worker and one helper here a few days each week. They also promised to complete my project within a certain timeframe, but that hasn't happened either. Now, my project is 5 weeks overdue and won't be finished until mid-January.
I've already paid Horizon for services and items that were supposed to be included in my contract, but they either didn't provide them or they weren't needed anymore. They said they would make an addendum to my contract so I wouldn't have to pay for things they didn't provide, but that hasn't been done. According to my records, I've overpaid Horizon by $4864.12 so far. And that doesn't even include the frustration of having my house torn apart during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
On top of all that, I had to pay a plumber because I lost hot water when a "cartridge" wasn't installed in the new bath spigot. The owner specifically told me that all my materials were in, except for the shower base, and that the project would take no longer than 4 weeks. But none of that was true. Nothing was even ordered or delivered, except for the materials I bought myself.
I've tried meeting with the owner, talking to the owner, and emailing the owner, but I haven't gotten any resolution. If I do get a response, all I'm told is that they'll take care of it, but nothing ever happens. I waited 5 1/2 months for them to start on my project, during which time they said they would have all the materials delivered before starting. But they didn't do any of that.
I just want other potential customers to know the truth about how Horizon operates.
