Gym Company - Mega City Branch review: Unauthorized credit card charges

2018 September at uMlazi Mega City mall I was approached and misled by one of Gym company recruiters.

The guy told me it a R199 September promotion, I told the guy that I do want to gym but haven't decided when and he said no problem when ever I'm ready but for now I must fill in the forms to grab this promotion (little did I know that it a contract) if I knew it was a contract I would have taken home to read terms and conditions because I was doing shopping.

He also told me that I would be charged once started gyming, activated my account but it wasn't the case, end of September I was charged.

I went and spoke to the manager and he agreed that I was misled but nothing he can do since I signed the contract.

This year 2022 beginning of August I went to pinetown branch and explained everything happened, they checked and told me I now own R9,860.00 but I have never been able to gym.

On the system they also picked up that during covid19 and looting the gym company was not operating for long period but they were still charging me.

At the end as pinetown branch they told me that they also had many similar cases their members misleading people.

How can I get rid of this amount?
