I ordered some stuff from the company Gulf State Publishers. I got email from them that the old company was bankrupt, but the new owner wanted to get more money for the order and they promised the copy of my order. I refused to pay, but they continued to call me every day. WTF? Maybe someone knows how to stop them. Please, share this info and post comments.
I received a phone call from them telling me that I could get a good deal on my renewal subscription of TV Guide. I told them I would do no business over the phone and to mail me a bill. Got the bill. Sure looks like a bill from TV Guide. It just so happened that I got another renewal notice from TV Guide in the mail saying I owed them for a renewal. I had the smarts to contact TV Guide using their website phone number. The first call was a scam! These people wanted double what the real bill is.
I asked for the fraud department at TV Guide. They don't have one. They said throw the letter away. WHAT? I don't know how to stop them either. So I added my two cents.
