eSalon.com Good color, soft hair

Just tried Esalon for the first time, and although the red didn't turn out as intense as I'd like, I'm sure we can figure out the right formula eventually. Dye process wasn't messy at all, and the smell was pretty neutral compared to some box dyes I've used in the past. Granted, I've been dyeing my own hair for over 22 years, so I'm not sure what some other people on here were expecting. Maybe the company is better with reds than some of the dark tones? At any rate, good stuff. Would definitely recommend.

eSalon.com Excellent Customer Service

My color arrived promptly in the mail. The color was perfect. The only challenge was the roots came out slightly lighter than the rest of my hair. It was only because I have a ton of grey grey grey hair. I believe I needed to leave the color on the roots longer. So, I contacted Mindy at esalon. She was so gracious, was willing to send out the same formulation at no cost. It arrived promptly, and my hair looks great! From now on I will leave the color on my roots for 40 minutes instead of what the instructions say. Love the color and the customer service. I am so happy I am on auto-ship!

eSalon.com Best hair colouring company out there!

I've been a customer of Esalon since 2015, and all I can say are wonderful things about this company! I've been able to change up my colour whenever I want, and I'm always able to talk to a professional colourist if I'm in doubt on anything. I've not once had a problem with esalon. Sure, there have been times when my color didn't turn out as well as I'd have liked, but I always chalk that up to trial and error on my part (but then I'm the type of woman who is fine with experimenting with my hair). Still, Esalon colourists are always there to help me out, every step up of the way, until we reach the perfect colour.

Seldom does one actually receive a service and/or product as good as promised by the company trying to sell you something!
However, I took a chance and placed an order with eSalon, and I'm
So glad I did.
The customer service department was outstanding They showed interest in what my needs were and were very versed on the hair coloring I needed. They guided me all the way through.
I was thrilled with the color saturation and the beauty of the different colors blended.
When I ventured out with my new look, I was walking proudly. I'M hooked and will definitely be ordering from now on.

eSalon.com Liberty Mutual Commercial Traumatized Me with Excessive Volume

So, I was just chillin' in my living room, trying to relax after a long week of work. I was watchin' some movie on the Roku channel, just tryna take my mind off things and get ready for the weekend. But then, the movie stopped for a commercial break, and the first commercial was for Liberty Mutual. I gotta admit, I chuckled a bit at the silly "LiMu-Emu" and Doug. But then, outta nowhere, I was hit with "THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!" and it was like my ears were under attack. I thought I was gonna need to see a doctor after that.

But that wasn't even the worst part. The ad just kept gettin' louder and louder, to the point where I thought my eardrums were gonna burst. And then, when I thought it was finally over, it got even LOUDER for the last fifteen seconds! My ears were ringin' by the time the commercial was done.

And to make matters worse, every time the ad came on, it was like a mini-trauma all over again. The volume was so much higher than all the other ads and the movie itself, probably like 20 dB louder. I had to strain just to hear what was goin' on in the movie after the commercial break.

Now, I'm sure the product is good, but they really need to fix their commercials. If they want any positive words from me, they gotta remaster their ads to a reasonable volume. I can't be the only one who's been traumatized by this.

eSalon.com Disappointing Experience with eSalon: Poor Customer Service and Unreliable Shipping

I gotta say, I'm not impressed with eSalon. I mean, I read all these reviews and it seems like everyone's got a problem with them. And I gotta say, I'm not surprised. I just cancelled my orders with them because I'm so fed up with all the issues I've had.

Like, for example, I was supposed to get free shipping on my last order, but they still charged me for it. I had to call them up and they said I'd get free shipping on my next order. But come on, that's not what was promised. And it's not the first time I've had problems with them. Every time I've had to call to complain, I've never been satisfied with the outcome.

And don't even get me started on their prices. They just keep going up and up without any warning. It's like they don't care about their customers at all. They're just trying to make a quick buck.

Honestly, I don't think they're gonna be in business much longer if they keep treating their customers like this. I've never seen a single good review about them. And I'm definitely gonna tell all my friends on Facebook to stay away from them.

So yeah, eSalon, if you're reading this, you really need to step up your game. You're only hurting yourselves by treating your customers so poorly.

eSalon.com eSalon Hair Color Review: Disaster! Hair Falling Out in Chunks!

My daughter was really excited to try out eSalon for a medium red shade. I sent pictures of her hair to the "colorist" as requested, thinking it would help them formulate the color for her. Her hair was very healthy, so we didn't think there would be any issues.

We followed the instructions carefully, putting on the "specially formulated" color and waiting the recommended time. But as soon as she hopped into the shower to wash her hair, she started screaming for me. Her hair was coming out in chunks! I was so scared that she was going to have huge bald spots. Even worse, as we were drying it, what wasn't falling out was melted into clumps.

It's been six months now, and we've spent hundreds of dollars on products to help her hair heal. But we've finally admitted defeat and she's going to have to cut off most of her hair. We're even looking into extensions because so much of it has to go.

I know that what happened to her could have been a formulation error, but it was just semipermanent color. There really shouldn't have been anything in it to cause so much damage. She wasn't even lightening her hair, just darkening it.

In short, unless you're willing to take a chance on spending hundreds of dollars to fix your hair, only to have to cut it all off in the end, I'd 100% avoid this product. Their response to what happened to her was "that's weird," which was not helpful at all. So not only is the product bad, but their customer service is just as bad.

eSalon.com Disappointing Experience with eSalon: Sent Wrong Color and No Options Given

So, I was really excited to try out eSalon and ordered a dark brown color for my hair. But, when I received my package, they sent me a soft black instead. I was really disappointed because I wanted the dark brown color that I had originally ordered. I tried to contact them multiple times to see if they could send me the dark brown color, but they wouldn't budge. They just refunded me for my initial purchase and that was it. I wish they could have given me two options so that I could have chosen what I wanted.

I decided to use the soft black color they sent me because I wanted to try out the service and I trusted them. But, when I used it, I realized that the color was way too dark for my hair. It made my hair look off balance because the top part was black and the middle to low part was brown with blonde. It was not a good look.

I don't recommend eSalon because they are not professional and they don't listen to their customers. They sent me a color that I didn't want and wouldn't give me any other options. The colorist even said that they could lighten my hair over time, but that's not possible with the stark black color they sent me.

Overall, I think eSalon is doing a disservice to their community and their customers. They need to be more qualified and professional if they want to stay in business.

eSalon.com eSalon Hair Color Product Review: Misleading Packaging and Disappointing Results

I recently tried out eSalon's hair color product and unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. As someone who is trying to save money, I thought that doing my own hair color would be a great way to cut costs. I went to CVS and saw eSalon's product on the shelves and was immediately drawn in by the packaging and the price. I thought to myself, "if it's more expensive, it must be better, right?"

I had a friend who is an experienced colorist help me with the application, and I left the product on for longer than the recommended time due to my gray roots. However, when I washed it out, I was disappointed to see that my roots looked exactly the same as they did before. I was hoping that I could save some money by using this product, but unfortunately, it did not work for me.

I really wanted to like eSalon's product, but I just couldn't. I even looked up some reviews online and saw that there were some positive ones, but now I'm starting to think that those reviews might have been fake. I can't imagine anyone else having a good experience with this product.

I don't appreciate when a company tries to sell their product based on their packaging alone. It's misleading and unfair to consumers. I don't know how eSalon managed to get their product into major retail stores, but I can tell you that it's not worth the money. Don't be fooled by the packaging or the fake reviews.

I believe that eSalon's product is backed by a lot of money, which is why they were able to get it into stores. However, just because a product is expensive doesn't mean it's good. In fact, I would argue that eSalon's product is worse than some of the less expensive ones on the market.

In conclusion, I would not recommend eSalon's hair color product. It's not worth the money and it doesn't work as advertised. Save yourself the disappointment and look for a different product.

eSalon.com Mixed Results with eSalon: Inconsistent Color and Shipping Issues

So, I was looking for a new way to get my hair done since my usual salon was closed due to "The Vid" (now open at limited capacity). I'm not like Nancy Pelosi, so I decided to give eSalon a try. I appreciate the idea of getting a consultation and estimating hair color through photos and descriptions, but I have to say, I'm not too impressed. It must be hard to get it right when everyone sees things differently. The colorists were patient with me (I'm a bit picky), but I'm not happy with how drying and inconsistent the color turned out. I've been doing my own hair for years and even have some stylist friends (who unfortunately live far away) who have taught me a thing or two. I've never had such a patchy outcome as I did with this color. They only offer liquid color, which should have been a clue that it wouldn't work well on my dry, 2B/C, frizzy hair.

On the bright side, they do offer add-ons like weekly masques, moisturizing conditioners and shampoos, and other styling products. I have to say, their root lift spray is the best I've tried, and the deep repair conditioner smells amazing. I'll give them one more chance (I believe in the three strikes rule), but if I'm still not happy, I won't use them again. Unfortunately, they're not off to a great start with my third order. I was told it shipped two weeks ago, but I still haven't received it. The last tracking update was a week ago, so I'm not sure whose fault it is at this point.

eSalon.com eSalon Review: Promised Personalization, Delivered Disappointment

So, I was scrolling through the internet and saw an ad for eSalon. They promised a personal call and specific products, and I was intrigued. I've been doing my own hair for years because I'm rarely impressed with salons. But when I saw the cherry red color, I thought I could use some help and tips. I followed the instructions and sent in a picture of my cherry red hair. I signed up and waited for my personalized package.

When my package arrived, I was disappointed. I received "medium brown/dark copper" hair coloring and dark auburn root spray (looks dark plum on). I didn't receive a phone call, just an email telling me my personalized package was on the way. It seemed very fast, but I felt ripped off. I finally emailed them about my disappointment, and I did get a call. She told me that I had to tick the box to get a call on the original order (no such directions). Then she sent me an email to walk me through doing a strand test to see if maybe the product they did send was going to work for me. As if, at 62, I've never done a strand test, and I must be too stupid to know what color would or wouldn't work. She claimed they would refund me if I was not satisfied, but I've spent enough time on this already.

The package was nicely boxed, and I liked the drip-cape, but other than that, I'm done spending anything on this bs company. Personalized my butt. At least at the beauty supply store, I can pick something resembling my actual color. Imagine L'Oreal charging another $20 per box so that you can sign up to be sent endless emails and advertising along with the wrong color. (This site asks me what products I used, but I think it means what products I purchased. I did not use any of the products sent to me by eSalon.)

In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend eSalon to anyone. They promise a lot but don't deliver. Save your money and go to a beauty supply store where you can pick out your own products. Don't waste your time with this company.

eSalon.com eSalon Review: The Game-Changer for At-Home Hair Color

I've been using eSalon for about 5 years now and I must say, it's been a game-changer for me. I have naturally blonde hair and I love to switch things up by coloring it in vibrant copper shades. I used to dread going to the salon and spending hours there, and I've had mediocre results using drugstore box color. I realized that box color wasn't my thing because I could never get the exact shade I had in my head. That's when I discovered eSalon.

I was using a shade of red that I really liked, but then I saw an actress on TV with a hue that I fell in love with. I found a picture of her and updated my shade on eSalon. I had a little back and forth with the colorist who provided some caveats and things to keep in mind with my new shade as it was much more copper, less red than my last color. When my order arrived, I used it and it was FANTASTIC! I just had someone tell me that my hair color is the perfect shade for my skin tone and most people assume it's my natural color.

One of the things I love about eSalon is that it is a subscription service. The notifications of my next order keep me from procrastinating and having awful roots for way too long. I've only ever had positive customer service and frankly was shocked to see so many nasty reviews. Maybe eSalon isn't for everyone. If you haven't dyed your own hair before, maybe stick with going to a salon. ESalon will not make you a professional colorist just because they custom mix the color based on a picture. If you are going from a really dark color, eSalon may not have the peroxide strength you need to lift that many shades safely. In that case, it's best to go to a colorist.

For me, I'm just a blonde, depositing color and it exceeds expectations every time. I will never go back to drugstore color or waste my time in a salon. ESalon has made it possible for me to have the exact shade I want, without having to leave my house. It's easy, convenient, and affordable. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to color their hair at home.

eSalon.com Esalon Hair Dye Review: Terrible Experience, Dark Brown Hair, and Copper Colored Hair

My experience with Esalon was absolutely terrible. I had natural light/medium brown hair and only had highlights in my hair. I wanted to dye my hair a natural dark blonde to go a shade lighter and go over my highlights. I was excited to try Esalon as I had seen a lot of good reviews. However, after dyeing my hair and following all their instructions, my hair turned out dark dark brown, way darker than my natural hair. I contacted Esalon and they told me to go buy color oops and once I got their dye off, they would send me out another formula. I was disappointed that I had to spend more money on color oops than what I originally paid for their product.

I got the second formula, which said dark blonde again after we had already spoken about how dark their (dark blonde) was. I called my colorist back up and asked what was going on. She reassured me that it was reformulated and that I'd be much happier the second time around. However, I was very hesitant to use another (dark blonde) from them. I waited another 10 days as I had already had to use color oops and cut 4 inches of my hair off because of the damage the first product caused.

I dyed my hair again, following all the directions. After washing it out, I could tell it was definitely lighter this time but now my hair was orangish looking as I was towel drying. I let my hair finish air drying then went to look at it and now I have dark blondish COPPER coloured hair! I emailed the company again with pictures showing what my hair looks like now after using what their colorist recommended for the second time. I received an email back stating how hair color could not lift hair color and that is why my hair is now red and that I should seek help from a salon. I had no hair color on my original hair, only highlights! If not for them screwing up the original formula, none of this mess would've happened in the first place!

I am extremely disappointed with Esalon and will never use their products again. The whole experience was a complete waste of time and money. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

eSalon.com eSalon Review: Shady Business Practices and Subpar Products

I've been dying my own hair for years, so when I saw an ad for eSalon, I thought I'd give it a try. I hadn't dyed my hair in a while, so I was excited to try something new. I took their quiz and selected my desired shade as a light to medium cool blonde, which was only a few shades lighter than my natural color. The products arrived quickly, and they even provided free additional color because my hair is long and thick.

The directions were a bit confusing, but I followed them to the letter. Unfortunately, my hair was only minimally lightened and was SUPER brassy. I looked like I had a penny on my head. I contacted the company, and they gave me a credit for my next color and sent me a toner to help with the brassiness.

I should have stopped there, but I decided to use the toner product to make my hair more bearable. However, it not only decreased the brassiness but also darkened the overall shade of my hair. So now my hair is more or less back to its natural color, except with lingering brassy undertones.

When it was time for my next color shipment, I uploaded new pictures of my hair so they could see the current shade and indicated I wanted the color to be lighter and cooler. In the comments section, I outlined the whole situation up to this point, including the lingering brassiness and the darkening effects of the toner.

After my new color was formulated, I received an email from my "stylist" stating that the color couldn't be lightened because color can't lift color. She suggested that I purchase their lightening set, which costs $35, if I wanted my hair to be lighter. I realized that they were trying to scam me by messing up my hair and then selling me more expensive products to fix it.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend eSalon. Their products are maybe a half a step above boxed dye at best, and their business practices are shady. If you want to dye your hair, stick with the boxed stuff or go to a salon.

eSalon.com Beware of Esalon.com's Auto Delivery Service: My Experience and Review

So, I decided to give esalon.com a try for my hair color needs. I answered their question about how often I color my hair, and I thought that was it. But, little did I know, I was signed up for their auto delivery service without even realizing it. I didn't receive any email or notification about this, so I was surprised when I received an email saying my new shipment had shipped and my credit card had been charged.

I was not happy about this, so I called their customer service to cancel the order. The representative told me that I had signed up for the auto delivery service when I answered the question about how often I color my hair. I was shocked because I never saw anything on the screen about signing up for anything.

The representative told me to return the order, but I would still be charged for shipping. Unfortunately, it was too late to cancel the shipment, so I had to deal with it. I was not pleased with the way they treated me as a new customer. It was not a good experience, and I wanted to share it with others so they can be aware of the auto delivery service and make sure they don't accidentally sign up for it like I did.

Overall, I think esalon.com needs to do a better job of notifying their customers about the auto delivery service and making sure they understand what they are signing up for. It's not fair to charge someone for something they didn't even know they signed up for. I hope they improve their customer service and communication in the future.

eSalon.com Esalon.com Review: Disappointing Color Matching, Potential for Improvement

I've been dying my hair for a long time now. I've mostly used box dye, but when I want something a little fancier, I'll go to a salon. I've been switching between red and black all my life. Last year, I decided to color it black, but it's been fading quickly. It had been a long while, so my medium brown mixed with gray was very obvious. That's when I decided to try out esalon.com.

I wanted to go for a blue-black color, so I ordered two bottles - one for the roots and one for the ends. I followed the instructions carefully, but unfortunately, the root color was incorrect. Now, I have medium brown roots with barely any gray coverage and black ends. It's quite obvious that the root color is incorrect, and I have a halo around my head.

I was disappointed with the results, and I canceled my order. Now, I have to wait to fix this mess. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from esalon.com.

Overall, I think esalon.com has potential, but they need to work on their color matching. It's frustrating to spend money on a product that doesn't work as intended. I hope they can improve their services in the future.

eSalon.com eSalon Review: Overhyped and Underwhelming with Poor Customer Service

So, I gotta say, I tried out eSalon and it was just okay. Like, they only offer shades that are super close to your current hair color, so if you're looking for a big change, you're outta luck. And honestly, after I dyed my hair with their stuff, no one even noticed a difference. I mean, I've used regular old drugstore dye before and it worked just as well, so why pay three times as much for eSalon? But hey, that's just my opinion. Some people swear by it, so you do you.

But let me tell you, their customer service is a real pain in the butt. My shipment was, like, a whole month late and according to the online tracking, the mail service never even got the package. But when I asked for a refund, they wouldn't give me the full amount back. So if you're gonna sign up for their subscription, be ready to pay for it even if you never actually get the product.

eSalon.com Disappointing Experience with eSalon: Wrong Color and Poor Customer Service

I decided to give esalon a try and ordered a hair coloring kit from their website. I even left a note for the colorist to call me, but unfortunately, I never received a call. When I received my kit, I was shocked to find that it was the wrong color! I couldn't use it at all, and it was my first kit from them. I immediately called their customer service to see if I could cancel the order, but they told me to return the kit instead. However, when I went to the post office to return it, they told me that I had to pay $5 for the return. I was frustrated and disappointed, so I called esalon again to see if they could help me out. But they just told me to do the same thing again! I couldn't believe it. They wouldn't even send me a postage label. In my opinion, this company has poor business practices and I would not recommend doing business with them. I was very disappointed with my experience and regret taking a chance on them. So, if you're thinking about ordering from esalon, be careful and beware! I definitely won't be making that mistake again.

I gotta tell ya, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with eSalon. I mean, I was really excited to try it out - the idea of getting salon-quality hair color without leaving my house sounded too good to be true. And, well, it was.

First off, they ask you to send in a photo so they can match your color. I mean, come on - if I wanted my hair to look like the picture, why would I be dying it in the first place? It's like they don't even use real hair consultants to formulate your color, they just calculate it from a flat image. And let me tell you, that's not a recipe for success.

The dye I got was just...flat. Dull. Lifeless. I mean, if you're going for that dead head look with no highlights, then maybe it's the product for you. But if you want your hair to look like you actually put some effort into it, I'd say save your money and go with something more trustworthy.

I really wish I could say something positive about eSalon, but unfortunately my experience was just a big ol' disappointment. So unless you want to end up with a mistake you'll have to grow out or go to your hairdresser with your tail between your legs (or rather, your head in a bag of shame), I'd say steer clear.

eSalon.com Disappointed with eSalon's Lack of Personalization and Customer Care

So, I was pretty skeptical about eSalon at first. I mean, I spent a good chunk of time filling out their questionnaire, only to be told that my hair color was too complicated for them to create a product for me. I was pretty bummed out and decided to cancel my order. But, when I reached out to them, they told me that they were going to send me something they thought would work, and refused to let me cancel my order. I was pretty hesitant to use it, to be honest. I mean, I thought I was going to get a personalized experience, but it didn't seem like that was going to happen.

To make matters worse, I found out that they had signed me up for repeat delivery without my consent! And, to top it all off, they made it really difficult for me to cancel my repeat delivery. I mean, with the coronavirus lockdown going on, I doubt that they're even in their office to take my call and cancel this unwanted, unasked for, tricked-into repeat delivery service.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with eSalon. I mean, I was really excited to try out their products, but it seems like they don't really care about their customers. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, to be honest.

eSalon.com Disappointing Experience with eSalon's Shipping and Customer Service

I gotta say, my first order from eSalon didn't do the trick for my gray hairs and left my ends lookin' way too dark. But I thought I'd give 'em another chance with my second order. Little did I know, they bulk ship their products and leave it up to the good ol' USPS to sort it out and deliver it during the busiest time of year. I changed my delivery date to 12/13, thinkin' I'd get it in a jiffy so I could color my hair before the holiday festivities. But nope, my order was just chillin' in San Diego USPS for 5 whole days and won't arrive until late 12/23. So now I gotta color my hair on CHRISTMAS EVE! Ain't that just peachy? And what did Customer Services have to say about it? They suggested I pay an extra $5 for priority shipping! Like, why should I have to do that for a product that's just goin' from LA to San Diego? Did eSalon offer any sort of compensation for this inconvenience? Nope, not a peep. So, I'm sayin' buh bye to eSalon! And honestly, I don't even think they'll post this review, but that's okay. I'll just find other places to share my experience.

eSalon.com eSalon Hair Dye Review: Overpriced and Underwhelming - Don't Waste Your Money!

I was searching for the best hair dyes on Google and stumbled upon eSalon. I didn't bother reading the reviews before placing my order, which was my mistake. The hair dye I received was nothing special and was the same as what I could have bought at the grocery store. They asked me how often I dye my hair, which I thought was odd at the time. Later, I realized that this was just a way for them to charge me again and send me another order.

I didn't sign up for their program because I was just comparing dyes. However, once they got my card information, they charged me and shipped their overpriced, over-the-counter hair dye kit. I paid $34.23 for a product that wasn't worth it. The dye didn't last long, and it didn't cover my gray hair as well as they claimed it would.

I'm going to dispute the charge with my bank and let them know that I canceled any future associations with this company. It's hard to trust online companies these days because many of them are just scams that want to take your money. They hope that you won't do anything about it, and unfortunately, many people don't. But I'm not going to let them get away with it.

Lesson learned - $34.23 for hair dye that you can do yourself is not worth it. Don't make the same mistake I did and waste your money on eSalon.

eSalon.com eSalon Review: Hair Color Growing Mold in Bottle, No Refund Offered

I was a customer with eSalon for a whopping 7 years. I was on a subscription-basis ordering, so hair colors kept coming to me even though I wasn't coloring my hair every 7 weeks. One day, I noticed a bottle that was 4 months old and it was evident that things were growing in the bottle - BIG nasty things too! The bottle was always in my home on the counter, so it wasn't exposed to heat, cold or anything of the such. I was so grossed out that I immediately sent pictures to them, but they refused to credit my account back. I cancelled my subscription, but they will only offer a "free hair color for next time" - um, your stuff is growing in the bottle, I have NO interest on putting that on my hair.

So long story short, when I pointed this out, "magically" their FAQ now includes that you must use within 6 months (yes, it was 6 months and 1 week when I finally got around to emailing them). BUT Google the "gold standard" across the board for hair colors, and you will find the "standard" is THREE YEARS. I wouldn't recommend this company at all - not at all. Use another company for your hair color that actually care about their customers.

eSalon.com eSalon Review: Inconsistent Color and Slow Shipping

I've been using eSalon for a while now and I have to say, I'm not too impressed. I've had a few issues with my shipments, with the first one never arriving at all. But they did replace it, which was nice. However, my next shipment took a whopping 10 days to arrive, even though I live in the same city as their headquarters. And they're charging $5.95 for shipping! What's up with that?

But the real issue for me is the color. It's just not consistent and doesn't cover my grays at all. Plus, it makes my hair and scalp feel tight and dry. I've talked to a colorist twice now and while it's gotten slightly better, it's still not quite right. And even when I use sulfate-free, color-safe hair products, the color turns brassy after just a few washes.

Honestly, I don't think it's worth the time or money. It's really hard to get the perfect color based on just a picture or a quiz. And for me, it's been incredibly frustrating to have brassy, gray hair for months on end. I just don't have the patience to keep trying and hoping they'll get it right eventually.

Incorrect colour and partial, not full refund. The hair colouring product was twice delivered to me way too dark! I informed them the first time of the miscolouring and they said they corrected it so I decided to give them another chance. But the 2nd shipment was even darker than the first! They have ruined my hair and I am devastated that I have to have this super dark hair colour for the rest of summer (a time when I want my natural colour to actually be lighter). They offered me a free shipment of hair colour, like no kidding since the last 2 shipments were so wrong why wouldn;t you? I want a FULL refund of both shipments. They offered me a partial refund of both shipments and what is not acceptable is that I am expected to pay a hair colourist to fix my hair, or wait until this one fades then dye it again. They even suggested I buy special products to try and fade this colour. Why should I have to pay for special products? Shouldn't they have to pay for these? What started out as a pretty good company ended up terrible. I had about 4 shipments previous that were pretty good...I am not sure what happend!?

I understand a delay due to increase in demand, I do not agree with the false advertising of time and lack of transparency. If they stated, over 2+ weeks to ship or unknown shipping time, instead of the 2-3 days and then slight delay, I would not have ordered from them. Now it is 9 days and my other options have been extremely minimized now. This business owes me and all future and current customers an accurate advertising of expected shipping times. Reasonable expectation to slight delay above 2-3 days is NOT over a week.

I was charged for products I did not request or authorized. I requested that it stop and I be refunded. I found charges to my credit card from this company that I did not authorize. I purchased only one product one time in May. I was send shipments of their products in June and July that I did not order and charged for it. I called today to request this to be stopped and be refunded. The two representatives I spoke with on the phone stated they would only refund me for one shipment of the two unauthorized orders. This is wrong! This company is trying to force people to buy their products. This is illegal! I want a complete refund for ALL unauthorized shipments!

Company continued sending product and taking payment from my debit card after I suspended delivery by jumping onto an inactive old account. esalon continued sending me customized hair color kits at unusually frequent intervals, after I suspended delivery. They continued to take payment from my debit card for each order. They did this by ignoring my wishes and going onto an old, inactive account I'd forgotten I even had, that was connected to an inactive email address I no longer use, that would have to be recovered from Google. If it can even be recovered. When I contacted customer support after receiving yet another haircolor kit, that makes 5, maybe 6, I have stacked up in my closet, I gave them the email I most often use. They were able to look and tell me there was no activity, no orders, on it. Ok. I use several accounts. I explained I had a hacking incident, and looked up which account I used to set up my account. I gave that to them. They came back and said that email showed 2 orders, then was suspended, in June. That's correct. Then, they said 6 orders were sent after that date. They had jumped over onto that inactive,forgotten account connected to the inactive, old email, I no longer use. There's been no activity on that account with esalon for several years. I haven't used that email for at least a year. I notice, however, they used my current billing information that was not the same as the one that would've been on that old esalon account. It couldn't have been, I wasn't getting SSI on that Direct Express debit card, at that time. When I protested that they did not have permission to do that and since it was apparent I did not want to purchase any hair color right now, by my suspending delivery, then it was their mistake and I requested a refund of my money, excluding those 2 haircolor kits sent before I suspended my account. I also requested all my accounts with them be closed. That's when the nightmare began. They began telling me outright lies. They told me they were unable to authorize refunding money. Then, when I wouldn't accept that, suddenly they offered to refund the price of one kit, if I returned it, first. When I stood firm on getting a refund of all 6, and after going back and forth, I asked for a supervisor, or a " hot shot", who had more authority. They told me supervisors weren't available for online support, to call by phone. I told them I'm older, disabled, and was unable to communicate by phone. It went on. A supervisor apparently emailed me. They got up to refunding 2 of the kits and stopped demanding returning any and paying postage. This hair color is custom, mixed for me, supposedly. The actual product label and the box, have my name printed on them. When I said if you can refund 2, then you can refund all 6, the run around started again. No a new agent, they'd ask if I was there while I was trying to reply to their prior communication, if I couldn't reply, within seconds, they'd say the conversation was closed. A new person would come online, asking me to explain my issue, so they could " help" me. All of this is engineered to wear people down, placate people, so they avoid having to give back money, and take back merchandise. I was humiliated by being forced to explain my decreased finances, that I'm older, on a fixed income and can't pay my rent, or electricity. payments, I'm disabled, and how. When I requested online, or text communication because of disability, they suggested I go find someone to call for me. The final thing was, suddenly one of them came up with those shipments being sent more than 30 days ago, their refund policy, they said stipulates no refunds after 30 days. Yeah, if I bought merchandise, not had it bought and shipped without permission, against my will. They also have a very visible logo and text on their site that states, they 100% guarentee you'll be happy as a customer, if not absolutely satisfied, then, it's on them. No time frame. That's a lie, too. I really can't pay my bills, I need that money. I feel beaten and humiliated. This is a company worth $***. My refund is about $130, or so.

Did not deliver for weeks after being charged, promised a refund never given, manager would only call when I said I was unavailable. I have a subscription with esalon and like most legitimate businesses, they typically do not charge me without shipping the product. They charged me on June 19 but did not provide it to be shipped until July 03. When I contacted their customer service, someone named *** responded in an extremely condescending tone and made a series of excuses, his last one being that he has COVID (Why are you making someone with COVID work?!) and that is why it took so long to get to me (Did he ship it himself? Was he at least wearing gloves?). I requested a supervisor email me but instead they called during the workday. I requested a supervisor call in the evening and they said they would only respond between 9-9:30 am. Kevin also stated he would issue a refund and he never did that. I would also like to add on that the previous month I had requested that an additional item in my subscription (color tint) be removed from my monthly order as it is not needed that often. Esalon will allow you to add as many items as you like to your subscription but offer NO means to remove them aside from emailing customer service and waiting for them to respond at their leisure. They chose to wait until AFTER that order had been shipped and only then did they agree to remove that item, did not provide a return option, and charged me full price. This is an extremely predatory business practice and my next complaint will be to the FTC to recommend further investigation.
