As someone who values quality and reliability in products, my experience with EMTEK was truly disappointing. I invested in over 30 door hardware sets for my home, hoping for a touch of elegance and functionality. However, within just six months, most of the hardware started falling apart. The design flaw in the knob attachment mechanism, with a small allen screw that failed to hold the knob securely, resulted in all the knobs coming loose. It was disheartening to see the products I trusted and spent thousands of dollars on turn out to be of such poor quality. The frustration of dealing with hardware that couldn't even fulfill its basic function left me regretting my choice. EMTEK's lack of durability and subpar performance made me realize the importance of investing in products that not only look good but also stand the test of time. For anyone considering EMTEK, I would advise caution and thorough research to avoid the disappointment I faced.

The slick images of Emtek’s products aren’t that similar to the products in real life. From my view, the materials don’t do well within a couple of years - and who wants to replace their hardware every two or three years? I think the overall goals of the company aren’t realistic, if they are selling products that don’t work that well for relatively expensive price tags. It’s also very confusing just trying to order the hardware at a retail location. There are tons of options and specifications. It could make your mind spin. You would think they would pay more attention to feedback from customers and the people who sell these products. What a hassle for disappointing products.

Let me tell you about EMTEK, it ain't worth the money, no way! Don't be fooled by the fancy branding, they're unreliable and way overpriced. I mean, seriously, even if you think you've got that door handled, it's likely it's not even latched properly. Plus, one of the handles is so frustratingly finicky that it needs to be positioned just so, or it won't even attempt to latch. You're better off going for a cheaper brand that will do the job right. Overall, it's just a bunch of garbage, so don't waste your money on EMTEK.

10+ years ago I built my home and used EMTEK's Durango bronze levers (interior and exterior door handles) throughout. SeveraI of them started BREAKING. In today's world does anyone expect that a door handle that costs $130 - $150 per set (I bought dozens) should last less than say 25 to 30 years? I certainly do not.

So, I called EMTEK's customer service because on their website it states that they provide a Limited Lifetime warranty. The CSR told me that the Limited Lifetime warranty only applies to products purchased since April 2012. Anything purchased prior to April of 2012 had only a 5 year warranty. When I asked them to provide me with that warranty they declined saying that it was my responsibility to keep the warranty slip that came with the product.

EMTEK's solution was for me to buy their replacement product. RIGHT! I am just about to spend more money on a product that does not last and that is produced by a company that does not stand behind their products.

The bottom line is that EMTEK does not stand behind their product and their product is CRAP.

STAY AWAY FROM EMTEK PRODUCTS!
