This is what happened when we got a Boston Terrier, Harley, from Deb Adams, owner and breeder. When she sold Harley to us, he was not 100% well. He was given to us and told by her that he had a fungus; we were not told that it was ringworm. By not telling us exactly what he had she put our family and other family members and friends at risk for getting ringworm also.
Further, she said he would get better and he got worse. The bald spots that he had when we got him got bigger and there were more on his body after only a few days. I did everything she asked me to do for Harley to get him better without having to go to the vet . Deb told me that she were a vet tech and she knew how to treat his condition. I wish that I had not listened to her and had taken him to my own vet.
Per her instructions, I gave him the fungus bath with the shampoo she gave us and I bought a fungus spray that she told me to get and sprayed him 2 times a day. The next step in her process was the sulfur dip which she gave me. Her exact instructions were "Once dry... You can use the smelly lyme dip. You are going to put it in a big spray bottle and spray him with it... Cover your hands, and his eyes. Again let him drip dry...". I did exactly this and the result was that Harley suffered chemical burns, because she never told me to dilute the solution.
I believe she was very neglectful and not even sorry about what she did to my dog. I called her vet to find out a little more about her and discovered that she never quarantines her pets even when they are sick. That is why all the new puppies were sick. She blamed me and my husband for what happened. She should be investigated. I don't think she is doing her best for these animals.

Whether you buy a dog or adopt a dog, you should always, always, ALWAYS take your dog to the vet as soon as possible! There is no excuse for not taking the dog to the vet to get checked out once it is in your possession, period! While I agree that Deb Adams shouldn't have sold or given an unhealthy dog to someone, if you choose to take the dog, it's your responsibility to make sure it receives proper medical treatment from a VET!

I agree, you should have walked away knowing Harley was sick or immediately went to your own Vet. Thats just protocol.
Hope Harley is Ok.
