Okay, so I gotta spill the tea about Design by Humans (designbyhumans.com). I know I'm not some fancy reviewer or anything, but I gotta share my thoughts on this one.

So, I was pumped to order some Christmas gifts on November 24th, 2021. I mean, I had plenty of time before the big day, right? WRONG. I didn't get my order until January 4th, 2022! Holy smokes, that's over a month of waiting. Apparently the parcel was supposed to be mailed on December 9th, but who knows what happened there.

Of course, I reached out to their customer service twice during my wait. The first response was a week later with just the tracking number (which I already had, thanks) and then they didn't even bother replying to my second email. Real professional, guys.

And it gets worse. One of the t-shirts I ordered was a totally different color than what I picked out! Like, how does that even happen? Plus, the fabric and printing quality was seriously lacking. So imagine my frustration when I tried to get some compensation for all this mess. It's been 10 days and I haven't heard a peep back. Not feeling too hopeful about that one.

Honestly, save yourself the trouble and run away from this site. It's just not worth it, fam.

Although, I gotta be real with you guys. The different shirt colors come from different manufacturers and they don't all fit the same. That can be annoying, especially if you're a stickler for consistency like me. Maybe they should think about using one manufacturer for all their shirt colors, just saying.

Yo, so I gotta vent about Design by Humans. Used to love 'em like 8 years ago...I mean, who didn't love their high-quality tees for dirt cheap during sales? But lately, they've just gone downhill...and it sucks.

Their customer service is straight up non-existent, and even when they do bother replying, it's like talking to a brick wall. And what's up with using different shirt brands from all over the world now? Like, some Next Level shirts are so dang small they end up looking like bibs or crop tops. Straight up embarrassing. Plus, they're printing stuff on the wrong side of the shirt or not even the right size. And forget about the print quality...missing ink and messed up colors galore.

I really wanted to keep supporting DBH, but they're making it difficult. Guess I gotta start looking elsewhere for my tee fix.

Hey guys, can I talk to you about Design by Humans? I've been a customer for a really long time, like a whole decade! I used to think they were the bee's knees - the fit was on point, the fabric was top-notch, and the prints were beautiful. They didn't fade or chip, no matter how many times I threw them in the wash.

Aw man, I gotta be honest, I am super bummed about having to give Design by Humans a bad review. It's a total bummer 'cause I thought they had a real sweet concept going on, but the service just ain't up to snuff. Here's what went down:

So, early November rolls around and I drop $700 on some t-shirts for Christmas gifts. I'm all stoked and stuff, but then the first package they send me gets lost in the mail or something. Okay, bad luck, but no worries, they send me a replacement in December.

But then when I finally get it, four of the shirts are totally messed up, with the wrong sizes or bad prints or whatever. So I reach out to customer service and they're like "oh nooooo, sorry!" and promise to send me the right stuff.

Fast forward 20 days and I finally get the replacement package. And guess what? Three out of the four shirts are messed up again! Like, who does that? So I reach out to customer service again and it's like pulling teeth to get a response. I swear, it takes like five business days on average just to hear back from them.

And they don't even seem like they care when they finally do get back to me. It's been four months and I still don't have all my gifts! Like, come on, man. I get that they're busy or whatever, but it feels like they just don't give a hoot whether I get my stuff or not.

And just to add insult to injury, the quality of the shirts seems real dodgy. I mean, the designs are cool as heck, but three of the shirts I got shrunk like cray after one gentle wash. Not cool, man.

I am so totally bummed out about this whole situation. I had high hopes for Design by Humans, but all I'm left with is a bunch of messed up shirts and no Christmas gifts to show for it.

So, after like three weeks of waiting and worrying that I got scammed, I finally received my package. The quality of the sweaters was alright, but it wasn't anything to write home about. And honestly, if I hadn't already ordered from another company (who, btw, had their act together and communicated with me), I probably would have sent them back.

The thing is, I would have been okay with the slow shipping and unresponsiveness if they had just communicated with me. Yo, so I decided to check out Design by Humans (designbyhumans.com) for some cool hoodie designs and ended up placing an order on November 30th, 2020. The website said that my hoodie would be made just for me and would arrive by December 14th - perfect for a Christmas gift. But hold up, on the 14th, my order was still being made! I emailed them and straight up asked to cancel because I needed it for Christmas and they hit me back over a week later saying that they finally shipped it out. Bruh, it was already December 22nd at that point! I explained my situation again, saying that I couldn't track it because they didn't provide a tracking number and that I didn't want it anymore. But nope, they assured me that it was on the way and I was like, seriously?! I already went and got another gift because I couldn't rely on their slow behinds.

Anyway, it's now December 31st and I've sent like three emails since the 14th but still no reply. Then, on December 29th, the hoodie finally arrives and guess what? It's trash! I got a small but what I got was a CHILD'S small - like, what grown person can even wear that? Even worse, the material was so thin and cheap, it was like wearing a t-shirt. The print on it was all faded too and already peeling off in the top corner and I haven't even washed it yet! This is a $50 piece of doo-doo hoodie, y'all. I could've just got a plain black Hanes hoodie and slapped my own logo on it and it would've been better quality!

What really grinds my gears is that they don't give a crap about their customers. They don't even acknowledge my concern or reply to my emails. They have no pride in their work and it shows. So, if you got money to burn and don't care about quality or good manners, then go ahead and take your chances with Design by Humans. But if you're like me and don't appreciate poor service and terrible quality, then save yourself the trouble and shop around somewhere else.

So, I gotta say, my experience with Design by Humans was a bit of a rollercoaster. Gonna break it down for y'all in two stages - first up, the ordering and customer service process (cause I ain't got my t-shirts yet).

Now, I did end up placing a new order for some more shirts anyways (yeah, they're kinda pricey but I wanna support the arts...I think?) and I'll report back later on the quality. But honestly, there are plenty of other companies out there with better customer service and lower prices. And to top it all off, you can't even combine the welcome discount with free shipping when spending over 75 bucks. Lame.

But look, here's the thing. Design by Humans has a cool concept and some pretty neat designs. I gave 'em 3 stars (which is probably 2 stars too many, let's be real) because I'm hoping they'll get their act together and start treating their customers like real human beings.

Turns out they wanted me to resize the dang thing a certain way and they didn't say that anywhere before. So, I did it and sent it back.

And while I was at it, I sent in a second design. But here's where it gets weird- I got a submission email for the second design, but not for the first. I wasn't sure if my first design actually went through or not, so I reached out to customer support. Supposedly, they get back to ya within a week, but it's been a whole dang month and nothin'. And that's not even takin' into account the fact that I haven't heard any updates on my designs.

Honestly, it's pretty dang frustrating. They can accept new partners quick as a flash, but they can't seem to help folks out when it actually matters. And if you're an artist tryin' to sell stuff on there like me, beware- they're slow as heck and not very professional from what I've seen.

Yo peeps, I gotta say I'm pretty bummed about my experience ordering from Design by Humans. I thought maybe since their tees were a little pricier, that meant they were gonna be extra fancy and high quality. But nope, turns out they're just plain old cheap-feelin' cotton that's not even preshrunk. Be ready for 'em to shrink like crazy when you wash 'em. And the cotton's not soft like they say it is either, it's rough and kinda gross. Plus, their sizing is all over the dang place. I got two larges for my son's birthday and one was hella longer than the other. So I swapped 'em out, but even the heathered shirts I got had the same dang problem! And the smell, ugh. They reeked so bad of chemicals that my son wouldn't even wear 'em 'til we gave 'em a good wash.

Then there's the issue of returnin' stuff. They told me I wouldn't even have to send the shirt back before gettin' a refund, which was nice. But then, even after they said they'd refunded me, I waited the 3-10 days like they said, and there was nothing. Nada. So I asked 'em again and they just told me to wait. STILL no refund! And guess what? My card was about to be cancelled and I was gonna get a new one, which meant any funds already on the old card wouldn't transfer. So I'm gettin' pretty worried by now. I didn't get my refund, and they refused to do it any other way, even though I didn't get it the first time. Ugh, it's just such a pain dealin' with customer service, especially since I'm a shy person and I don't like causin' a ruckus. Plus, I get really bad migranes, and the stress from all this is just makin' it so much worse.

So yeah, needless to say, I won't be orderin' from Design by Humans ever again, and I definitely don't recommend you do either. And as if things weren't bad enough, ladies, there's hardly any selection for us! They got more Star Wars and Frida Kahlo stuff for men?! What the heck!

I have ordered Junior large Tees from them for years. The quality has gotten worse, but now they are sending me Women's large rather than Junior. I requested replacement and they sent more of the wrong size. So now I have 14 Tees that don't fit.

Rather than resolving the issue they are offering a reimbursement (after about 10 emails and 6 weeks of requests since they do not have live chat or a phone #) and yet are still offering the junior large on their website. It's beyond frustrating. The Juniors have a "213" on the tag; but no one seems to know this on their end and there's no explanation.

I mean, I'm not expecting them to have the response times of Amazon or anything, but come on! This is taking customer service to a whole new level of ridiculousness.

But then I followed the washing instructions they'd given me, and things went downhill fast. All of a sudden there were these huge stains and weird white stripes all over the place. What kind of quality is that? I mean, seriously.

So, I fired off a complaint to their customer service - and this time it was even worse. They didn't get back to me for more than a week! Like, seriously, what kind of company takes that long to respond to a customer who's not happy? And then, when they finally did reply, they had the nerve to tell me that if I wanted an exchange, I'd have to send back all the shirts - at my expense! Oh, and one more thing - they only wanted them back if they hadn't been washed. So basically, they were telling me that if I wanted a refund or an exchange for bad quality merchandise, it was my fault for following their instructions. Give me a break.

So, needless to say, I'm not recommending Design by Humans to anyone. Their quality is despicable and their customer service is even worse. Save yourself the trouble - go somewhere else for your t-shirt needs.

So, on November 27th, I had the brilliant idea of ordering three t-shirts for my niece's birthday from Design by Humans. I mean, they had some pretty neat designs and I figured it would make for a cool gift. So, I eagerly handed over my hard earned cash and waited for my order to arrive.

Now, according to the email they sent me, I was supposed to get the shirts by December 11th. However, as of December 15th, I was still without my order. Can you believe it? These guys took my money and then decided to play hide and seek with my shirts.

I mean, I didn't want to be That Person, but I had to contact them to find out what was going on. I checked their website like a normal human being and to my great distress, there was no phone number listed. None! I had no other choice than to submit a request via their contact form.

I sent my message on December 12th, which was a Saturday. However, as I later found out, these folks are only available on weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Which, fine. But come on, Design by Humans, don't you think it would be a good idea to have someone on call outside of those hours?

Anyway, fast forward to December 15th. Still no response to my inquiry. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and initiate a chat with them. And boy oh boy, was that an adventure.

The chat person initially tried to blame shipping problems for the delay. But I wasn't born yesterday, you know. I called them out on it and guess what? Suddenly, the truth comes out. It was their processing problems all along. And what was the excuse for that? COVID. Apparently, COVID was the reason for everything. Don't get me wrong, I understand the pandemic has caused some issues. But seriously, Design by Humans, you knew about COVID when you took my order and gave me a 14 day shipping estimate.

At this point, I'm just exhausted. I still have no idea what the product is even like because it hasn't even arrived yet. And to make matters worse, the chat person refuses to give me a phone number to talk to someone on the phone. Great.

All in all, I'd say my experience with Design by Humans has been less than stellar. I'm just hoping my niece actually gets her birthday present eventually.
