Debt Advisors of America Absolutely unprofessional and misleading

Absolutely unprofessional and misleading. Don't do this program unless your credit is already trashed. They will order you to stop payments to all accounts and you will receive debt collection calls and mail along with law firms. They waitonths for you accounts to be in bad standing and then begin trying to settle debts. You are able to "cancel any time no questions asked". It took an hour of the guy going on and on before I could speak and tell h to cancel. They try talk like they know your life and why you're in debt and that there's literally no options. The exit interview is the same. The guy I talked too told me how I need to pay off debt and how much I need to pay to get out of debt. The guy tried telling me why I was in debt how long I've been in debt and that I would never get out of debt unless I went through their program.

Debt Advisors of America After 10 years of being in financial debt and paying the minimum payment, I decided to give this company a try

After 10 years of being in financial debt and paying the minimum payment, I decided to give this company a try. I was a single parent for several years and did what I needed to do to make ends meet. The high interest rate on these cards made it difficult for me to ever see the light at the end of the tunnel. I was very leery at first. Tyler was very reassuring and supportive to me. He spent 2 hours on the phone with me going over the process and what I could expect with the company. I was able to set up a very reasonable payment plan, and finally had some Financial relief. Difficult to put into words what this financial burden was doing to me emotionally. I am finally able to breathe and put some money into my savings. Looking forward to see how my debt decreases over the next several years. I would highly recommend working with Tyler and this company.

Debt Advisors of America When i first got the letter from debt advisors, I thought it another scam and almost threw it away

When i first got the letter from debt advisors, I thought it another scam and almost threw it away. But my curiosity got the better of me & I picked up the phone and called. Lucky for me, Richie R., answered my call. He was so friendly, helpful and assuring. I'm the type that has zero understanding in words like contracts, interest, etc. My only understanding for words like credit cards are shop, shop, shop. But that has created my financial problems and Richie was there to help. He was in no way judgmental. He was super knowledgeable in the area of how to get out of debt. He explained the program, over and over and over to my dense brain and assured me over and over that he was on my side and would be but a phone call away whenever I had questions. I would give Richie R. 50 stars if that was acceptable. Thanks Richie. Debt advisors is so lucky to have you on their team!

Any company that sends mail with NO return ADDRESS IS A SCAM! I have a letter from them that makes no sense, as I have NO debt. There is NOTHING on my credit report, so I demand an address so I can send them a letter to warn them to never attempt to contact me again. Obviously, they are too scummy to allow their address be made public.

Debt Advisors of America I had previously signed up with a debt counseling Co

I had previously signed up with a debt counseling Co. that lowered my interest rates with my credit card companies, but I was still paying accruing interest and it would have taken me 6 years and an additional $52,000.00 to be debt free! I happened to receive a letter in the mail from another debt relief company and I called the number. I was so fortunate to get Eddy J. as my customer care person and after speaking with him at length, I could finally think there would be a light at the end of the tunnel. I feel like a huge boulder has been lifted from me and it's all because of the young man who answered my call! He was kind, patient and very personable while he listened and answered my never ending questions which he did like an expert!. Thank you Eddy J., for helping me get out of this huge hole I was in! I hope everyone who contacts this Debt relief company gets to speak to Eddy J. ***. from Florida

This is a scam, do not call their *** number. They do not own the debt and are using false pretenses to snag you into making payments. They don't offer a physical address, and will only accept bank payments over the phone. Be wary.

Debt Advisors of America A pleasant experience!

A pleasant experience! Dealing with debt can be a stressful issue. Dealing with debt relief can be even more stressful. There are many companies out there offering debt relief. In today's world, it pays to do due diligence and research viable, trustworthy companies. Otherwise you are at the mercy of potential fraud and misdirection. I have found that Debt Advisors of America is a trustworthy company offering the finest in professionalism starting with the initial contact by telephone. I felt confident that I was in the right hands as a consumer, and now client. From beginning to end of our correspondence either by telephone or via email, all information was explained on great detail and left no room for potential misinterpretation. Seemless is the word. I got the overall feeling that these folks truly wanted to help, and spread the word that there is help available without having to swallow your pride. I am 100% glad that I followed through with this journey.

Debt Advisors of America With all the bad things going on in our beautiful country, and so many sleepless nights and stressful days

With all the bad things going on in our beautiful country, and so many sleepless nights and stressful days. I happened to come across an envelope in the mail with a name of an angel who goes by Lori Mead inside. Little did I know that she is just what I needed. My credit cards were all maxed out, but I never missed a payment nor where my payments late. Lori proceeded to explain to me a simple plan of attack to payoff all my accounts and to be debt free in 48 months. Debt Advisors of America is a company to help the people of America get that financial freedom we all work so hard to achieve. Thanks to Lori Mead and the wonderful support team behind her. I now sleep at night and my day starts out with a smile, because I know that I have a great support team in the shadows taking care of me. If you do nothing about your debt crises but just contact them with questions, they will have your answers for you or they will get it for you asap. I wished I knew about this company and Lori a few years ago, but I'm here now going for gold DEBT FREE !

It is a debt consolidation scam they settle your debts but you have to destroy your credit and then you pay a monthly fee to them and to your creditors and the savings are just NOT worth it in my opinion. If you owe 100 bucks you will end up paying 70.00 so you save 30 percent total so unless your credit rating is totally destroyed you are better off trying to work with your creditors or if it is that hard consider paying bankruptcy no reason to pay these bottom feeders a dime. They have cold calls and called me numerous times after I told them I had NO interest finally I let them explain and then after learning the above 30 percent savings only I told them they were insane and you could do better yourself. I have just got another call and told the heavily accented man on the phone if it was a debt settlement program I had NO interest and he transferred me anyway. On the transfer, I stated if you are a debt settlement I have NO interest and yet they still tried to convince me to sign with them and told me to check out this site specifically the ComplaintsBoard.com. I am still confused as to how they are even calling me when I am on the DNC list and have been and check. There is also a lawsuit in Ohio that shows up regarding this company from 2020. I am not qualified to read but just the wording and the mentioning of keywords would make me terribly afraid of dealing with them in any way and that reminded me that he asked for part of my social asking to run my credit when I had already said no. Do your research! Do NOT get scammed!

Debt Advisors of America Miss Lori was professional

Miss Lori was professional...polite...perfectly charming and gracious...she was patient...and courteous...I was a little skeptical at first...but it only took a calming conversation to see how relatable and kind she was...no sarcasm...guilt...no shame...I had a bitter divorce and was left with countless credit card debts...I resolved that debt the best I could...now building my credit during a pandemic...with little to any at all of building my destroyed credit...Miss. Lori walked me thru the entire process and we took care of everything necessary to calm my financial stress with a plan of attack...realistic plan...and I am not worried tonight before bed...worried about financial stressors...she was so kind and patient...generous with her love of helping others and made me feel worthy of getting help...not guilty...I know that I am in good hands and will be victorious in dealing with the burdens of creditors not charging me large sums of hard earned money so that I can barely get by each month...I used my credit cards to live on while suffering other hardships...I pay on time...more than what I am supposed to...I am now not getting punished for doing the right thing...but am learning my legal debts with a helping hand from Lori and her team...I cannot thank her enough and I hope this minor review expresses my sincerity and gratefulness for being able to move on with my life financially and have more freedom...I highly recommend Miss Lori and cannot wait to achieve our "pay off " goal of 3 months...if I were to continue as the bank has planned for me...I would be paying 8-9 times as much in total and would be scared of spending anything to just get by...I am so grateful that they are the REAL deal and are helping fellow Americans resolve their debt issues...thank you soooo much. ***---Texas

Debt Advisors of America Please Do Not get involved with this company!

Please Do Not get involved with this company! I talked to *** about my debt which was only two credit cards. At the time I spoke to her I had never missed a payment on either card and my credit score was excellent. Unfortunately I had to take some time off from work because my brother had cancer and my mother in law was in and out of surgery so I needed to be available to help take care of them. They both passed within three months apart. While all this was going on I knew that the interest on the credit cards was to high so I called Debt Advisors of America just to see if they could help me avoid paying all the interest. *** told me if I paid a certain amount pre month for 36 months then they would be able to come to a settlement with both credit companies. I paid what she said for almost 2 years and one card was paid off. I paid this company more to come to a settlement with that one credit card than I owed on the card itself. The second card I assumed was being negotiated until a police officer showed up at my door with a summons to appear in court. I was being sued by this credit card company. I called *** to ask what was going on and why.She told me I wouldnt have to go to court and someone would be calling me back. For 2 weeks I tried to get a hold of someone to explain to me what was going on. In those 2 weeks it seemed nobody knew what to do and thats if I got someone to actually return my call. On the third week (a week before court) I then had everyone from this company and *** calling all day everyday asking if I could pay more money. Well Id been paying what *** said to pay so no I couldnt pay more than that. I finally realized that this company was nothing but a joke and told them to get my money in my account back to me and I wanted nothing else to do with them. I went to court and explained what had happened and ask for a continuously. They reset my court date and before that second count date I filed bankruptcy on less than Thirteen Thousand Dollars cause I just wanted it over with. Now had I not been under so much emotional distress due to what was happening in my life at the time I would have taken out a personal loan and came to a settlement with a credit card companies myself before I called this company but I cant go back and change things now.Hopefully my story will keep someone else from getting involved with this company because trust me. This company done nothing for me but cause me more problems than I had before I called them. And the bad part is I paid this company to do nothing but destroy my credit so please dont make the same mistake that I did.

Debt Advisors of America "Adjustment of credit accounts

"Failure to Respond" letter from Debt Advisors of America.

It is misleading and a devious tactic and an uncalled threat.

The message below is threatening and a ploy to get people to call this company.

"In order to determine the feasibility of an adjustment to your outstanding balances it is important for you to contact our firm at [protected] within 10 days of receiving this notice to avoid unnecessary delays in processing your request."

Debt Advisors of America Misleading letters being sent

I received a letter in the mail that has at the top "RE: Discover, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Capital One, America Express" along with "Negotiations Department", a notice number, notice date, and contact phone number. It begins with "Attention:" in large bold letters followed by my name. It then says I need to contact their offices within 10 days of receiving this notice regarding adjustments to one of my above credit accounts. It says if I have an account with one of the above lenders, I need to settle my account. It then has "**Failure to Respond**" in large bold letters. It states "Failure to respond and making your minimum payment will likely result in interest accruing on your unsecured credit balances at an unreasonable rate. (In addition, penalties may accrue in the event of unpaid obligations.)" It then says it's important I contact them within 10 days to avoid delays.

I was in a flurry checking all my credit cards, checking my credit report, calling my bank, etc., as I just had a breach of information that led to identity theft. They need to change their letters to make it clearer it is an offer for debt resolution and remediation and not a notice from a debt collection agency. Their letter is severely misleading and predatory.

Desired outcome: They need to change their marketing letters, or stop sending them.

The letter language is COLLECTION NOTICE tone with wording NEGOTIATIONS DEPARTMENT and "FAILURE TO RESPOND" wording in bold print along with contact their office in 10 days and listed several credit card companies. I became alarmed and thought someone had fraudulently opened an account in my name ( I recently retired). The letter is very misleading and during COVID and economic lost it is very cruel to send letters like this to unsuspecting people to try to drum up business.
