Daman Insurance review: No customer service; unable to reach

Daman Insurance claims to be the "leading health insurer" of the UAE. I will not comment on their actual insurance business service quality, but I find entirely unacceptable that Daman Insurance is never, ever - and I want to emphasize - NEVER (!) reachable.

The company provides phone numbers [protected], +[protected]) which at the date of this complaint simply do not work - i.e. I could not get past the 1st step, language selection. In the past I could get past the 1st step, but then I was redirected and misdirected automatically, and this makes it impossible to talk to an operator.

The company also claims to providea whatsapp chat option, which simply does not work.

Further, after the last policy renewal my Daman mobile app stopped working and I was prompted to contact customer services - but, as I said, the company is simply not reachable.

I need to point out that the only reason someone would want to call their health insurance if when they are sick. It is unacceptable, disrespectful, unethical and downright fraudulent to simply run away from your paying customers by making impossible for them to reach you.

The company states on its website that "Daman provides a 24/7 customer call centre" - this is in substance a fraudulent claim. The number is useless, as I described, hence the claim of providing a call centre is in its substance a false representation.

If Daman reads this message, please immediately address this issue. We are all patients, and the only reason we want to call you is because we are in need.

Desired outcome: A reply from Daman Insurance and a call centre that actually takes the patients' calls.
