I got charged $19.99 by Curiosity Stream but I didn't sign up for it. They even sent me an email saying I did, but that's not true.

Got an email telling me it's time to renew my subscription with Curiosity Stream. Wanted to hit the cancel button, but couldn't find it. Spent like 2 hours clicking around, but the page kept freezing. These guys are running a real bad show.

So, I decide to cancel my subscription, and it was not easy. The website is confusing, and it took me a while to figure out how to cancel. Also, when I finally got in touch with customer service, they were not helpful at all.

However, I have to say that the content on Curiosity Stream is fantastic. The documentaries are engaging and informative. And with the wide range of subjects covered, there is always something new and interesting to watch.

All in all, while I appreciate the content, I cannot recommend Curiosity Stream due to the billing and cancellation issues I experienced. I would advise anyone who tries this service to keep a close eye on their billing and to be prepared to jump through some hoops if they need to cancel.

So, I tried out CuriosityStream a while ago when they had a free trial on offer. Gotta admit, I liked it for the few days I used it. But when the freebie was done, I made sure to cancel my membership so I wouldn't get charged. Well, fast forward a few months to December 5th, and what do I see? They went ahead and charged my card for another subscription - without my say-so! Not cool, man.

I had a problem with my account being hacked on Curiosity Stream. I told them about it and they didn't believe me. I showed them screenshots that proved my information had been changed, but they ignored them and asked for more screenshots. I sent more, but they still didn't believe me and told me to send more. I managed to change some of my information back, but I can't use my email for some reason and now I can't log in. It seems there is a big security problem because I can log in on my devices, but only until I can't. I've contacted them many times about this, but they don't seem to care. It's really worrying that they don't care that my information was compromised.

I didn't get any messages 'bout my annual subscription comin' up. They ended up takin' the fee outta my account without a heads up for another year. I reckon they should let ya know before it renews so ya can cancel if ya ain't interested no more. I ain't even watched Curiosity Stream in ages, it's been like 6 months. They don't send notifications 'bout upcoming programs which coulda reminded me 'bout it. They didn't even let me know 'bout the subscription renewal, I only knew 'cause I checked my bank account.

I was given a free trial for Curiosity Stream last year and I never even signed up for it. Some other company paid for it, I guess. Anyway, after a while, I got charged $89 on my credit card by Curiosity Stream! I've been trying to contact them but no one will pick up the phone. This is so frustrating because I never agreed to this! They better give me my money back, or I'm gonna have to call them out for being a big ol' scam. Watch out, y'all.

I used to be with Curiosity Stream, started in Feb 2020 with the free trial. Okay stuff but didn't have lots of time to watch. After the free trial ended, I misplaced to unsubscribe. But it was just six dollars anyhow, so whatever. Except that a couple of months passed and in April I found time to dip out. Problem is, they randomly reactivated and charged me 83 dollars on June nineteen. I never signed up for this! Plus it says if you DO subscribe, it's just twenty bucks for the year. They swiped my card and went for it. SMH.

I messaged Curiosity Stream about a problem in Dec 2020. I couldn't cancel my subscription or remove my card details. I forgot about it until they charged me on 4/2. I disputed the charge and asked them again to remove my card details but got no reply. I cancelled again today and got confirmation, but I think they only did it because they already charged me. They didn't email me to let me know they were charging me again, but ***, ***, *** all do. They don't care about their subscribers and only want their money. I want my money back and my card details removed.

So, I tried to cancel my Curiosity Stream subscription in December , but I couldn't figure out how to do it online and they never got back to me. Then, on April 2, they charged my card again for another year! What the heck?! I've been trying to get my credit card info out of their system ever since, but no luck. I finally managed to cancel and got a confirmation this time, but I'm suspicious that it's just because they already took my money. And to top it off, they didn't even send me an email to let me know they were gonna charge me again. Other services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon always give me a heads up. I feel like Curiosity Stream doesn't care about their customers and just wants to make money. I want my $19.99 back and I don't want them to have my credit card anymore. The service ain't great - I wrote to customer service at CuriosityStream and I'm not happy with how it's been running of late. When I first tried it out, I really enjoyed the different programs they showed and I never had any trouble streaming them. But for the past few weeks, it's been totally unwatchable! No matter what show I try to watch, it always looks like it's being shown in 460p. And even when I find a show that plays in HD, it only runs for like, five seconds before stalling out. Most times it just won't start up again, either. And that's a bummer because I'm paying for this service! I asked customer support to do something about this bandwidth issue, but if they can't fix it soon I'll cancel my subscription and ask for my money back. I can't justify paying for something that doesn't work. My internet provider is Xfinity, and I can use Amazon Prime and Disney+ with no problems at all. Even PlutoTV works just fine! I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the CuriosityStream app on my Apple TV, but no dice. And when I try to use any browser on my PC or my Mac, I run into the same issues. Both of them are pretty powerful machines, so I don't think it's my fault. I really hope CuriosityStream figures out what's going on soon because I'll miss it if they go under!

I've been using Curiosity Stream for about 3 years now, but my account suddenly stopped working. I contacted them a bunch of times and they finally told me that they received a batch payment from *** but don't know which account to apply it to. I think this is fraud and the ComplaintsBoard.com should get involved. They told me to send them a receipt from *** so they can figure out the issue. In the end, they admitted they couldn't find my payment. It's frustrating that they collect payments from *** but don't know how to apply them to accounts. This issue needs to be resolved for all customers who use Curiosity Stream.

I signed up for their annual promotion at the beginning of the year January and my credit card was charged - have the receipt to prove it. I just tried to use the app (February 22) and it tells me to sign up. I tried calling their customer service number and was left "holding" ad infinitum...I am sure the company is legit but it feels scammy. Very disappointed will never renew.
