I have no idea if Veronica's dogs are healthy or not. My complaint is regarding fraud. I gave Veronica almost full payment for a bulldog pup, and she confirmed in emails when this pup would be ready to come home with me. She refused to let me see the puppies, though, and choose my litter pick. Eventually, after I pressured her for a reason, she admitted that the dogs were not here at all but were in Florida. She also stated that she would be unable to see that litter at all. Then she admitted that the dogs had never been in Colorado and she knew she couldn't sell that litter, even though she sold me the pick of the litter. This is why I call it fraud.

After agreeing to a refund, it took 19 emails (and several phone calls) over a 2 month period for Veronica to finally refund our money. In the interim, she claimed that her deposits are non-refundable--even though she broke the contract. She claimed that we could have accepted a dog from another litter (she had some 4 months old) but did not, so she said she did not owe us a refund. Keep in mind that I have all my emails from her in which she repeatedly stated her intention to refund.

Eventually Veronica admitted that she had spent the money and didn't have it to give back. My family filed a claim against her in small claims court. She refunded us our money into our Paypal account late in the evening of the day before our court date. She included a very offensive note.

I should have made myself clearer. When we agreed to put down a deposit on a puppy, they were 2 days old. Nobody gets to interrupt a mama dog with pups that young. And yes, it is absolutely normal to put down money on a dog sight-unseen. I was promised that I could see the litter and choose the one we wanted within a week. That never happened. I should have stated that originally. But in answer to your original question, buying a newborn puppy without seeing it is not unusual. Seeing the parents is more important. I met the dad, and I was told that the mom was in another room of the house and I could see her within a week. That was a lie, as Veronica later admitted that the mom was not even in the state. I have doubts that I even met the dad. And if you look into this woman's name on this site, you'll turn up pages of complaints.

This breeder is bad no one needs to buy. If you want a dog that is unhealthy after the first year go ahead.

This Breeder, Has to many problems with there animails. They fine for the first year you have the Bulldog then they have bad allergies after that. Pay allot of money to hopefully have a healthy happy bulldog. But that dont happen at all. Have spent so much money on vet bills lost count after three thousand.
