The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Our company was looking for a year/make/model extension for our magento store when we stumbled upon Vehicle Fits; we contacted the company and spoke with a gentleman by the name of Josh. We explained to Josh that we have had some problems with purchasing magento extensions in the past and were a little weary about purchasing another extension that may not work properly. Josh assured us that this would not be the case with his software and even offered to remove his refund policy for us and he would refund us our money if we were not happy with his software.

After we purchased the software everything seemed to be moving along just fine, he offered to install his software and had to make about 4 updates to get it up and running. There were a few bugs here and there like misspellings, some all capital letters, some lower case, doubles of makes models, wrong vehicle to bolt pattern and a few other minor issues but he assured us once again that they would be sorted out. He said a buddy of his was working on that for him and it would be fixed within a few days. This never happened and nothing was fixed. We also noticed that our page load times were horrible with the extension installed and we were told it was a cache issue and we needed to clear our cache more often. We were also told he was going to custom program the module to suit our needs better with a year make model choice for both wheel and vehicle sides and that never happened either. The load time issue is caused by a hog of java scripting poorly written and not optimized at all, if you view his test sites you will notice load times are horrible.

Our server suffered a failure last week and we had to recover it from our data center, after getting the server back and going through the data base we discovered if we removed his entries from our SQL data base our problem was fixed and our sites would function as they should and with the entries added back to the database our sites would fail to load. Clearly his software were the cause here, magento functioned perfectly without his module entries. We contacted him and informed him that we were not happy with his product and that it still needed some tweaking and we would like a refund, we were told he would issue a refund if we were not happy with his software. He asked if he could have the chance to try and fix it and was simply told NO, our server was down for a few hours and that costs our company money and we could not afford to have any down time in the future due to his software failing. Josh was now looking for every possible way to get out of giving us our refund and looking for a way to make it our fault his software failed when that didn't work he started in with immature name calling and vulgar remarks.

No refund has been issued at this point and we are having our legal team contact him this week. We would just like to give everyone else a heads up to stay away from this company and let you know how our experience with Josh and vehiclefits.com turned out.

UPDATE:
We decided to give Josh a chance to complete the module as agreed and prove to us that his module was not at fault for our magento store failure, he installed the basic module on a test site and then disappeared. He is no longer responding to our emails and we are still locked out of updates. We never received a refund and now we are stuck with a none working magento module and lost out on $700. He claims we are no longer allowed to receive updates or download the software we paid for due to that fact we posted our complaints on these message boards.

Vehicle fits never followed through with there contract and never delivered a working module to us. Trust us when we say this guy and his company sold us lies and BAD SOFTWARE. He is unresponsive and to this day we are still suffering from the corruption of our magento stores. We have spent thousands in repair and still have not received a working software package from this company. We are still waiting for the software we paid for Josh, we check our email daily.

In regards to your comment about you being indebted to us, you are 100% correct. We paid for your software, why don't you send it to us? There is no excuse for you to refuse us service and the software we paid for because we are complaining about the fact that you sold us a none working module. Your software, 1 year support and updates were paid for upfront. We never received the full software package because you made the install not only once but twice and failed to get it functioning properly.

It's now pushing 5 months of trying to get you to provide us with what we paid for or issue a refund.

This is the type of customer service and support you should expect when dealing with Josh and vehicle fits.

We waited 3 months the first round for him to finish developing the wheel adapter module, which he never completed for us but now offers for sale on his website. We did suffer a server failure due to the vehicle fits magento extension and after weeks and hundred of dollars in repair costs not to mention lost revenue from our sites being down we our now back-up and running at 100%. We gave Josh a second chance to fix his software and prove his module worked and he refused to answer emails. The only way he responds to us is through this message board, and this is only to try and repair his reputation.

These posts are not an attempt to destroy your business, they are an simply here to notify the public of your poor business practices and let the public know what we wish we would have know before we purchased your software.

Anyone who reads this can clearly see you do not practice good business and you have clearly ripped us off. No refund No Software No Support = scam. Explain to the public how if your product fails or causes problems how you will just cut them off, become defensive and walk away with their money.

Send us our software and make good on your deal, clearly you are selling the module we paid you to program.

If you read Josh's response you can easily see how you will be treated if you decide to purchase his module. He offers no support if an error occurs and he will not honor his contracts verbal or written and fails to develop or integrate features as promised.

He talks about ramifications of loosing access to his software; didn't we pay you for this software and support? Are we not allowed to send emails asking why your software doesn't function properly without suffering "ramifications"?

3 months were spent waiting for him to complete his end of the contract and integrate the features we paid for "vehicle side and wheel side" options. To this day this has never been completed and we still do not have the software we paid for. We have requested that he send us the software package we purchased and he denies us, stating it is a security risk to his company and he reserves the right not to give us the software we paid for and cancel support.

If you read through this extremely long thread you will see that Josh has been asked to issue a refund or give us a working module and to this day he has not performed either task.

Save your time, money and stress and find another solution for your year/make/model needs for your magento store.

BUYER BEWARE there are other options out there for what you are looking to accomplish with magento and if a developer is not listed on magentos website or active in magento forums AVOID PURCHASING their software.

Our experience is 100% truth and I am happy to see you are not in the same boat that we landed in with Josh. It is quite possible Josh has fixed the errors in his module since we purchased it, but we don't have the software to test out this theory and have not been offered the chance from him to make this right. You can judge our technological capabilities all you want, but installation and support is included with our purchase and he failed twice to make it function properly or integrate the features as agreed. I don't feel it is our problem that his module failed to operate properly with our magento setup. We run multiple stores on 1 magento installation and have been up and running for over 2 years without any problems up until Josh installed his module. The "corruption" occurred in our mysql database and over worked our system up to the point of system failure causing 10 sites to be down for over 2 days. When I retrieved my box back from my data center we removed all entries added from VAF and we were back to perfect system operations. Josh was contacted and here we are today without our cash or a working module.

The only thing ridiculous is his actions and behavior towards us, his clients and the failure to comply to our agreement. All we want is the working module that we paid for or a refund. All he has to do is email us the working software package.

You were given access to a test server and you failed to communicate with us for days. At that point we did cut you off and requested that you issue the refund as agreed. We were not going to allow you to test on our live server and we were not going to send you our site back-up considering it contains customer information and that would be a security risk for our customers. That fact is we shouldn't even have to defend ourselves, we are your clients and you failed to honor our agreement in any way shape or form. You act as if we waited 3 months to make a complaint but we were still waiting for you to finish the integrations and customize your software at the time of our system failure. I understand you want this to look as if we are the ones at fault here, but what are we gaining out of all of this besides lost time and money. What benefit has come out of this for us, we are not asking you to pay for lost revenue we just want you to complete your module as agreed and give us what we paid for at this point and you refuse to do so.

So please answer these 2 questions below:
1. Since you are not going to honor your refund agreement with us wheres our software and data?
2.When are you going to integrate the features into your software as agreed in our contract of purchase?

Like I mentioned earlier NO REFUND NO SOFTWARE equals out to be a rip-off.

If you read through this extremely long thread you will see that Josh has been asked to issue a refund or give us a working module and to this day he has not performed either task.

Save your time, money and stress and find another solution for your year/make/model needs for your magento store.

BUYER BEWARE there are other options out there for what you are looking to accomplish with magento and if a developer is not listed on magentos website or active in magento forums AVOID PURCHASING their software.

Magneto does not even support your module because you and your software are bad news, you are a crook and a poor software developer. You lied and made us feel as if we could trust you so we would purchase your module and when we had problems it was just easier for you to cut and run instead of doing the job you were paid to do.

You are trying real hard to make this look as if it was our fault, but we are you customers and you failed to prove yourself as being a good business man not only once but twice. These are the simple facts of the matter and no matter how much you twist your story ours will remain the same because it is the truth.

Keep the money and your over priced magneto year/make/model software, But most of all keep your lies. You are only making yourself look bad. Read your responses and ask yourself if you would consider buying or doing business with yourself. I'll bet the answer is NO!

Be real careful when making your decision to buy from Josh Ribakoff or Vehicle Fits . Remember it will cost you more in court and lawyer fees than it worth to try and get your money back from them.

Hey, what's the point in looking for somebody to create a module from the scratch if there are ready solutions? I searched Google and it gave me that extension - http://amasty.com/product-parts-finder.html. I usually prefer buying ready extension and order some customization if I need. Usually, good Magento vendors provide customizations.

I have had nothing but first class support from Josh in my dealings with him and his company over the past 12 months or so, working on multiple sites.
Josh has always gone beyond the level of support I signed up for and assisted me and my company with customizations etc for gratis.
I truly cannot believe that one client out of the all the clients that vehiclefits showcase can have the problems or service you list below. I really smell a bad apple.
Well done Josh for your excellent product and great contribution to supporting ecommerce in the automotive industry.

In what way have I not stood behind my product? Have you seen the changelog? I don't have a client 'GMG' and you're making really vague assertions, is this just the same guy registered under another name?

Yes it would.

Except those aren't the circumstances, the software was given to you on more than one occasion plus you had access to download it for 3+ months before you got yourself cut off. Plus the software is available to trial on my demo site. Customer insisting upon refund, refusing to help me help him, and threatening to sue equals out to be a problem customer.

You stated the module was installed on your server, as my other customer points out you can't have it both ways. Yes you did wait 3 months to make a complaint, at which point I said I'd be glad to fix, but you were insistent upon a refund. It was not until AFTER you sent strongly worded letters threatening to sue that I cut off your updates & support.

AFTER I decided to cut you off from updates & supports, I almost changed my mind. I asked you for a test server & we installed it within 24hrs. You requested a feature (a new import screen). I was even going to do this, until you came & posted this very thread. I shouldn't have even emailed you back after cutting you off the first time, my fault.

Furthermore my decisions were not made easily. This customer was an ongoing problem for months, to the point that it was consuming hours a day responding to complaint threads that he would post, wait a while & delete & re-post, so that I had to keep replying to clear my name. He was spamming comments my youtube videos, etc. The decision to cut a customer off is not something that is done easily, in this case I had basically no choice, as I cannot neglect the other 200 customers to cater to this individual's antics. I'm sure the rest of my customers can appreciate this.

Same customer.

The agreement was if there were any issues, I would either fix or refund them. He complained his page was slow, I told him we should try the latest version of my software to see if its an issue and he refused to give it a try.

The agreement implied it was at my discretion whether the issue would be fixed or refunded. He claimed there was an issue, but refused to re-create the issue for me on his server (and it was not happening on any of my demo sites).

I honor all valid claims. This customer went out of his way to prevent me from investigating his claim.

Here's the timeline

1 - installed module for customer

2 - 3 months go by, customer even calls & says its working great

3 - suddenly I get an email "why are you ignoring us" This caught me off guard, as the last I heard from them they were happy.

4 - responded, he submitted his claim of a slow page load.

5 - I asked for his server details so I can go replicate

6 - he refused to provide

7 - he sent emails/calls over a subsequent 3-4 week period, spread reviews all over the web, claiming he wants $700. Working software would not satisfy him, he just had to have his $700 back. Email support was ended with the client & his update's cut off at this time.

8 - Client realized the ramifications of loosing access, and decided to give me access to a "test" server.

9 - I installed my module on this test server.

10 - client deleted the data he had put into the "original" site, (this was his choice to hose his own data). He did however have a .csv file with the data.

11 - I agreed I would work on adding a way to import the data from his csv file (this is me going above & beyond). I told him to wait at least a week.

12 - before the week was up he had followed up 3-4x by email, which I was too busy to respond too right away. He started posting more complaint threads online so I told him to "forget it", go find another company.

Found out about this from someone who asked me what I used for one of my clients sites. I use vehicle fits and have used it for 5-6 months. Josh has been nothing but helpful in every step of our development. In all honesty I can't imagine that this horror story is even half true. When you purchase vehicle fits you are given access to download the software and any previous versions. That you can do yourself, but from the way you talk I can tell you are not the technically inclined, so you probably just wanted someone to do it for you... Which Josh no doubt did. That alone tells me that you are just being ridiculous. Also, if it was installed on your server and messed up your server(doubtful) then you had it on your server... You can not have it both ways my friend. Either you had the software installed and it messed up your server... or you never had it installed and it did not mess up your server. I smell some ###...

Technically support and updates is on points based system, so I reserve the right to end your support. Ive never done that for any customer but you.

This customer reported that his server crashed and refused to allow us to investigate his "request for refund". For this reason his refund was denied, this prompted him to threaten to sue and spread defamation, which was met with a response of ending his updates & support.

thanks for this information.
I am searching for the same extensions and was on vehiclefits.com, too.
But now, I am a little confused about vehiclefits.
Is it possible to buy the extension directly from you? So may I just can try it and see if it would work.
I just need it for Motocycles.
