Rite Aid - rude manager

On August 20th I went in to have a half dozen rolls of film developed. I chose this location as I had actually worked at this particular store several years before while in college. The photo lab manager there had trained me, and now that I am a graduate and no longer working in a photo lab, he is the only person that I will trust with my film. When I arrived, he wasn't there which normally isn't a problem, I just fill out a photo envelope with "LEAVE FOR MARTY" scrawled across it. On this occasion however, the photo lab envelopes had fallen off the counter and into the closed off lab. The store's assistant manager, Simone, walked by me several times, obviously in a foul mood. I asked her if there was anyone scheduled in photo that day, to which she replied, "no" and proceeded to walk away. I decided my best course of action was to ask her to get one of the envelopes for me so that I could submit my order. She told me that Rite Aid "won't take your film". I asked if that meant they no longer processed film, and she told me, "not your film". After this I called the company's 800 number, and spoke with a very nice agent who told me that management would be contacted and that I would receive a phone call. Sure enough I received a phone call from the very flustered store manager a few days later. He offered to develop ONE roll of film for free and asked if this was an acceptable solution. I stated it was not because I had tried to drop off 6 rolls of film, and also wanted an apology directly from Simone. I was told in no uncertain terms that Simone did not want to appologize and I could take or leave the one roll offer as developing that many films is "expensive". I told him this was not acceptable, and he said someone else would be contacting me. Later that day, I was contacted by a rite aid customer service rep and was asked if the response to my complaint was acceptable. I told her it was not and was immediately hung up on. In the mean time, not trusting any other local labs with my images, I have sent the film to A+I, a professional lab in California, and am paying $13.49 per roll to be developed instead of Rite Aid's $7.99, and am still waiting for an apology from Simone.

1st- Missing drugs-called to report, left message. NO response. Dropped off another RX, tried to pick up 3 days later. Waited @ drive thru for 15 min, w/1 vehicle ahead of me. Asked for RX, told it was not filled, 'too early' It was a new RX, no insurance involved.

Called mgr to complain about both issues. Very rude, hung up on me. When I called back she said she was 'busy with other people', and felt I was rude for telling hew drugs were missing! Made comments about 'drug abuse', admitted they did not call Dr to verify RX, or me.

I called District Office. Left message. 3 days later. Nothing.

When trying to fill a script for my wife, the pharmacist said that that medication was not available in the dose her doctor specified. She told me the drug companies had never brought that dose to market. She told me I had to drive back to the doctors office and get a new script and that the doctor should have known that dose was not available. When I called the doctor's office I was told to try another pharmacy. Sure enough, all 0f the three drug stores I called (not Rite-Aids) had the drug is stock and told me it was a standard item that had been available for years in that dose. The closest one filled the script for me.

When I returned to Rite-Aid and showed the supposedly unavailable medication to the pharmacist, she changed her story. She denied she had ever said it wasn't available, and claimed that it was only unavailable through Rite-Aid.

I have to suppose the pharmacist wanted me to get a new script so she could make the sale. I think it would have been more professional to tell me other drug stores would have what was needed. Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill?, perhaps, but the medicine was for pain caused by cancer and my wife needed relief right away.

Horrible length of time waiting. With two lines only one is utilized for pick up even though line is wrapped around the building. Also had to wait on another occasion due to a pharmacy employee purchasing items for themselves. With a Walgreens across the intersection I would prefer their quick service and will be switching for my next refill.

I am a shipping receiving manager and I was checking in some product when the lid jammed into my armpit. The next day the pain and swelling in the area was unbearable so I went to the doctor who prescribed an antibiotic and a pain killer.

I went home and started the medication. The next morning I went to take some more and noticed that the pills looked exactly a like. So in 3 hours I took 3 antibiotics and no pain killers luckily what if I would of taken 3 pain killers instead.

Rite Aid has said they would fix the error but what if I was not able to due to not getting the right prescription to begin with and would of actually gotten sick or worse. This is not the first time we have heard or experienced errors made by RiteAid and we will not get our prescriptions filled there again.

I detured a shoplifter that had been prosecuted by our store years ago this past Sunday and all I get for my trouble is Ken putting a twenty dollar bill in with my bundle of ones to make my drawer twenty dollars over, wow is this how you treat employees that file sexual harrassment complaints with corporate? Robin already told that no one like me and it is a matter of time before Ken gets rid of me.

Ken Gass at store #268 in Pittsburgh, Pa pulled my hair and tried to cut my ponytail off twice, when I complained to a representative from corporate my register started coming up short or excessively over, why is a sexual harrassment complaint not taken seriously?

Hmm. Something seems off about this. Why the heck would they tell you it wasn't a real strength? I just don't get it.

The medication was oxycodone, 10 mg. Because it is a controlled substance my wife's doctor could not phone or fax a new script. Returning to the doctor's office and returning with a new one would have taken about 1 1/2 hours at least. There is another pharmacy about 10 minutes from this Rite-Aid that had the medication in the required dose.

I know that we live in a time when businesses are hurting, and I see on the internet that Rite-Aid may be on the verge of going bankrupt, but when your wife of 35 years is sick and in great pain it's difficult to except a providers greater concern for money than another persons misery. Is it too much to expect the advice of trying another pharmacy instead of being told that the drug companies never made this dosage?
