This breeder sold a knowingly sick dog (Demodectic Mange) that was so severe that along with the loss of hair over numerous portions of his face and body, he was suffering from a related skin infection. He was also underweight and was also not AKC registered (as it was indicated to be) and lastly he is older than the birth date that they advertised and registered him under based on him having full adult teeth at what they indicated would have only been 4 months of age. The dog was also knowingly suffering from behavioral issues and was still shipped to us even after being touted as being "very social and a perfect family dog". They were contacted the moment he was received with concerns of his condition, both physical and fearful behavior, and were notified numerous times (daily and several times daily) about the concerns of his anti-social and fearful behavior that included biting which resulted in open wounds, one of which was deep enough to require stitches, and significant bruising. The "breeder" himself, Jaime Gascon, never once communicated with us, instead all communications went through his wife, Cindi, and they referred us to another "master trainer" who did not believe our situation and only offered inhumane suggestions for dealing with the issues. The "master trainer" asked us to obtain a local consult on the dog's behaviors, and provided names of individual's that they knew and trusted to provide the evaluation. Upon receiving the evaluation which confirmed our concerns of an anti-social, non-trusting, fearful and avoidant dog that had limited if any socialization, the breeder and their "master trainer" friend Eric Winstead stopped communicating with us. They had offered to provide additional training at our cost, and once the concerns were validated, Eric Winstead "didn't have the time to train him" nor would we ever want him to train him with some of the suggestions he provided, such as "sqirting lemon juice in his face" if he barked in his crate. The "breedered eventually offered to take the puppy back at our cost in exchange for another puppy, but at that point they could no longer be trusted and we were not going to send this sick and fearful dog back to them for additional abuse. THis breeder should be avoided at all costs. A "Bad" rating was posted to PuppyFind, com only to be removed from the rating of the breeder which indicates that they either paid for the "Bad" rating to be removed, or PuppyFind.com is complicent with the abusive actions of their vendors.

Yes, unfortunately a lesson learned indeed. Now PuppyFind has deleted my rating of the breeder and has done so without verifying any of the accounts of the rating (which they indicated is standard when a breeder disputes a poor rating).

PuppyFind is supportive of abusive breeders by their actions to support the breeder and censor or silence the buyers.

Well, having learned this after doing research on the breeder and not on PuppyFind, I am one less person that will be a part of that problem and will do my part to educate anyone else that I possibly can. I had no idea that breeders could delete their negative comments, and had done research on other breeders whose negative info was what drove me to continue searching for "this one" and made the mistake of trusting PuppyFind as well as this breeder. I will make sure that my lesson is shared so others are less likely to commit the same mistakes, and I am doing everything I can to try and rehabilitate the puppy that I received along the way.

This is PuppyFind.com Customer Support. I was unable to find an account under the name Eric Winstead on the site. You are welcome to email support@puppyfind.com with additional information so we can find the account and review it. You have the option of leaving a review on the seller's account or pursuing legal action if necessary. We do give the seller the option to dispute a review if they feel it is invalid due to abuse of the review system by competing sellers. If this happens we send out documentation requests to both parties and if supporting documentation has been received then the review could then be reinstated. I do hope you were able to get your money refunded if you did not receive a puppy. If you have any further questions you are welcome to contact us at support@puppyfind.com.

I too purchased a puppy from Eric for a total of $1500 to include shipping, that never arrived. He stopped returning my phone calls or emails. I have alerted Puppyfind of his scam.

Yes, he sold me a puppy in Feb 2015 for $1000 after I received her she displayed aggression. When I started calling him for the papers so I could register the pup, he stopped answering my calls. When I started posting beware warnings about his business he threaten me saying he was going to press charges on me, he goes on saying I am crazy, and that I want to breed his pup with a male I have that is aggressive. If that what he thinks, why would he still sell me the pup besides him just in it for the money aka puppymill.

Eric Winstead is a total scam artist. Plain and simple. I sent him $1200 for a dog, and all I've gotten in return is attitude and excuses as to why he can't ship. If you question him, he gets extremely defensive. If you too have been ripped off by Eric Winstead at Aboslute K-9 services, contact me at brenn.miller at gmail. I'm happy to add you to the lawsuit.

I was shipping a rescue dog out of Atlanta in June 2014. I happened to over hear the person behind me talking. He said he shops 205 dogs a year. The puppy was a Belgium malinois. It looked to young because the crate and dog together only weighed 12 lbs. the puppy was packed in wood shavings. I took a photo of the label on the crate and it was this Eric Winstead. I wanted to report him as a puppyill
