Premier Cancun Vacations cancun premier vacations refused to refund my money

Cancun Premier Vacations refused to refund my money. I am very upset with them because the information I was provided during my initial conversation was false. Upon attempting to recover the money I gave them for a travel package to the Laguna Suites Golf & Spa, I was put on hold several times while a taped portion of my conversation was reviewed. The associate I spoke with declared that I was not in a position to have my money refunded. During my first conversation, I was given a seemingly harmless and very enticing sales pitch on resorts in Cancun, local attractions and a huge discount on accommodations at one of four travel destinations. During the conversation, I asked the salesperson SEVERAL times if the deal I was offered was or was like a 'time share, ' or if there were any strings or conditions attached. I was promptly told 'no' each time. The purpose of this vacation according to the salesperson was for the promotional opening of a new resort. I had been 'selected' from a pool of persons who had recently made travel arrangements. The salesperson went to great lengths to put me at ease, such as providing me with their full name, employee number, and work extension. Lulled into a false sense of assurance, I was directed to a second salesperson who recorded our conversation and asked for my information. Upon contacting Cancun Premier Vacations to make reservations at the Laguna Suites Golf and Spa, I was informed that I would have to attend a 60 to 90 minute presentation during the first morning of my visit. Shocked, I immediately called back to try tro contact the person that initially told me about this package. Despite being given a work extension to call for the first salesperson, each time I called Cancun Premier Vacations I was presented with a voice prompt that asked for me to enter my party's extension, if known. I have attempted to do this several times, only to wait until someone else from the company picks up the phone. I was told that my tape had to be reviewed and that a salesperson would be in contact with me very shortly. Since the first set of phone calls, I have had to initiate conversations on my own with Cancun Premier Vacations. I have spoken to several people except for the very first individual who presented me with the vacation package. The taped conversation was played back for me to listen; during one part of the tape the second sales agent asks if I agree to attend a 60 to 90 minute presentation. On a second part of the tape, the salesperson asks if I agree to all of the Terms and Conditions as outlined in the sales pitch. In BOTH instances, I respond to the salesperson with a QUESTION about the travel voucher that was to be included in the package. I did NOT give my consent in the form of a simple 'yes' or other agreement to either of the two questions. Under NO circumstances was my consent ever given to attend a 'meeting, ' 'gathering, ' 'presentation, ' or otherwise during any part of my upcoming trip! During a recent call to Cancun Premier Vacations, and after being put on hold for close to an hour I was told that my voucher was non-refundable as was stated during the taped conversation. I courteously but firmly rejected their position as I had in no way, at any time during the conversation given my consent to any of the other Terms and Conditions of the Contract, most importantly the 60-to-90 minute presentation. I will be canceling my reservation to stay at Laguna Suites Golf and Spa, and I will no doubt be told that my money is non-refundable for that portion either. I'm the first person to stand up and speak highly of an individual or company in the event that mistakes or omissions are made but which are then quickly resolved. At this time, I cannot under any circumstances offer this sentiment towards Cancun Premier Vacations. I am left feeling cold, bitter, alone and disgusted for allowing myself to get duped into what is now a big mistake. PLEASE, at this time I urge everyone who reads this to avoid any and all communication with Cancun Premier Vacations and their parent corporation The Sunset Group. Unless of course you are in my situation and are seeking what is rightfully yours.

They are also affiliated with Go Cancun. During the recording, they claim to be Go Cancun. However, when I received the confirmation email, it is from Premier Cancun Vacation. I am also trying to get my refund. I have already filed a dispute with my credit card company. Did anyone have any success?

Totally agree with the complaint above, I'm in a similar situation. They're telling lies and stealing people's hard earned money. I think I'm going to get my lawyer involved cause they're ripping too many people off and getting away with it. I'm very disturbed by such dishonesty.

It's such a shame that these crooks are taking advantage of vacationers. Same happened to me in Playa del Carmen. but this timeshare by Royal Elite/Sandos. We attended the presentations just to get the freebies, , after 4 hours, we started to get a little frustrated, we just wanted to go out of there, we didn't care about the free gifts anymore, the swore the product they were selling wasn't a timeshare, but pretty damn sure it was. NEVER again, I feel sorry for the people who end up falling for the Royal Elite Timeshare trap. Beware of timeshare scams in Mexico! this is a forum with more mexican timeshare scam victims

Wow, do you have some large ones saying that all of us are wrong when we have so obviously been ripped off by your establishment. You have destroyed my family' vacation which was very hard earned. My daughter will not get to go on a family vacation with us which makes us have zero familyvacations together ever. But, I'm sure your company or whatever you are does not give a rat's [censored] because you have the $978 I worked hard for taking care of my patients. At least I know that my patients were taken care of. You cannot say that about your customers because I am one of the numerous ones you forgot about.

I am in a similar situation. I contacted my credit card company and they told me to send them an email and cancel within 5 business days as in Mexican law you have this time to reconsider your decision. I sent the cancel email and have now almost a month later received an email from Premier saying this is non-refundable. I now need to contact my credit card company again.

Premier Cancun Vacations marketing phone scam

Premier Cancun Vacations. Complete Scam.

I got an automated call claiming I'd won a free vacation and was transferred to an agent. At the end of a forty minute conversation I was conned out of $600.

When I made reservations to follow up on this "deal" I was then informed there would be a $200 reservation fee.

I was put under the false impression that the vacation package was an all inclusive one. This was clarified for me when I attempted the reservation. All this extra cost would've added up to another $500 per person so I asked for my money back.

They made me sign and fax a disclaimer and I got half my money back.

I can't believe I fell for this ###.

I have also paid for this although I made sure that it was an all inclusive which cost me an extra $50. I was under the impression that my flight was paid for going to Cancun and when it come to pay for this all I told them no cause my flight wasnt included. So they told me they would throw in another deal, which when I received my package its not in there. I havent tried booking the vacation yet and hope that I do not have to pay another $200 reservation fees as that is crap and should be told to you when you are purchasing the "deal"! I will let you know how things turn out when I go to booking the trip.

Premier Cancun Vacations Doubtful information & positioning/marketing

Similar complaint than Jeff.
The company called my home phone to inform me that I had been selected and won 100, 000 Aeroplan* points for a vacation, to accept dial "1" and transfert to receptionist who ask me to confirm that I was over the age of 18 and had a valid credit card to check in to a resort (this is where I started to get suspicious!). I was transferred to "Brigit" who wanted to detail me a "special offer" but stop her, declined it and hang up.

Even if I shortened the communication, this was still a waste of my time (on the phone for 15 mins, lots of "On Hold"). As indicated by Jeff, you cannot email them any questions or complaint (parts of website are disabled). States in their Privacy policy that you can put your questions and concerns in writing and email them on the website but where?

Well. I bought their package and then looked at airfare and couldn't afford THAT at the time. Then airfares went down- past the 2 yr deal- I called, got a very helpful person who assured me I could still use my vacation. I knew there would be extra fees, but didn't ask how much. I've been ripped off more money by people willing to "sell" my timeshare than what i paid for this. They just wanted people to tour their resort and review it. I was reading the reviews just to see if anyone has used it. What I don't understand is why people who think it is a scam stay on the phone, or even answer it at all. My cell shows the number calling, and I simply don't answer. If they leave a message, I'll call back. I'm still stuck with my timeshare.

I gave these people my credit card information after they lowered my 6 day and 5 night accommodations at one of two motels in Cancun from $698 to $349. They said there are also incidentals such as getting and returning from Cancun and food while there. Also any extra activities where there is a charge but not for free activities. The next communication many days later indicated there would be a $69 reservation fee and $110 fee in hotel taxes when the reservation is made.

I asked for a refund after discovering these waiting extra charges considered by them to be incidental charges. They stated I had already agreed that no refunds could be made when my credit charge was charged - within minutes of their having my information Any charge that amounts to an additional charge of over 50% - $179 on top of $349 is not an incidental charge. These charges are all for being able to stay at a motel in Cancun - not for becoming a travel club member or for any other service provided by Cancun Calling or Premier Cancun Vacations or any other name of the same company they may be using.

They (Ebony) is going to get back to me.

I fell for this company's scam..two/three years ago. My husband and I were taking a Pamana cruise from Ft. Lauderdale so the two day Bahama cruise would have been nice. Phoned to book said cruise but even though they say 18 months..told me membership expired...$85.00 for extension...paid ..then minutes later changed my mind...asked them to cancel charges. Oh will tear up invoice they said..Right appeared on my credit card...but that was a big favour as this was illegal. I had to complain to Florida state consumer affairs etc..they were operating out of Miami and travel was for Florida. At that time they had over four thousand complaints pending. Jumped through the hoops, wrote the letters and DID get my $500.00 back. These guys are the same outfit...different name... different locale...same scam. Got the call from them again today...kept her on the line...then laughed and said...sorry been there done that..lucky to have gotten my money back...much wiser woman

scam scam scam...
I asked the name of the owner of the company, right at the outset of the call and the "agent" stumbled then told me that they are owned by SUNSET RESORTS. Upon googling this, I only found a place in Alberta and I hardly think it is the same. I asked the owner of Sunset Resorts and the guy couldn't tell me. I told him that was rather odd.
I then asked if he needed my credit card info. I asked this before he was able to drain precious time out of my day... he tried to say... wait and listen and you will find out.. I replied" it's a YES or NO question... do you require my credit card?" Of course he replied YES and I laughed and hung up! How do people sleep at night ?

These people call my office number on a regular basis. Every time, I ask to be removed from their phone list. I have made several complaints to the CRTC and have spoken to a CRTC rep, but there is nothing they can do. The cancuncalling.com website (which does not work) does indeed show a phone number - [protected], and someone answers when you call. I hung up after I had determined the number worked, and they called me back within one minute to follow up on the "dropped call". So they paid for 2 phone calls. I too am going to set up my fax machine to call them repeatedly, and I'm also going to call their 1-866 number and then blow a loud soccer referee's whistle down the phone when they answer. It won't stop their calls to me but it will cost them money, it will inconvenience them and it will irritate them.

Kimberly H. - Get /your/ facts straight. No one is claiming that your company is not real. In fact, it is a very real Pain In The ###. I have been waiting to get another call from you just so that I can waste your time just as InCanada does - unfortunately, I've not been so "lucky" yet.. I guess you check people off a "screwed" list and not call them back. Wankers.

Kimberly H. - your company is the most irritating telemarketer out there ( and they are all annoying). I receive calls from you on my home phone, my cell phone and my business phone. When I have the time, I press 1 and get one of your agents to go through the spiel with absolutely no intent of giving you my credit card number. I am just wasting your time. I like G2 in Toronto's idea of setting up my fax machine to call your 866 number and think that I will start doing that every time I receive one of your calls. If more people did these two things, maybe your company would stop pestering everyone with these phone calls.

I actually work for this company, and indeed, we are in Cancun, and the vacations are 100 percent real. Being that I work here, I receive many people that have taken the trip, and all seem pleased with the vacation package. Someone above stated that we work out of San Jose, which is completly untrue, I have lived here in Cancun for 18 years and I am quite sure where I am! Yes, there are a lot of scams out there, but Canuncalling is not one of them. Get your fax straight people!

Premier Cancun Vacations telemarketing scam

Nov. 27 morning (Strangely on my birthday) got this phone call saying I won a unique deal in cancun for 1 week. My boyfriend being naive and unaware of those terrible scam agreed the contract and we paid up to 600$ before we actually got on internet and found out how bad this deal was! We are not going to spend double money on the worst motel and vacation thats for sure! Everything from them was lies and such a companie cant be trustable. All they are is rip off, a time money and peace of mind trap for their own profit. This is so frustrating! All we want its to get refund and this telemarketting travel agency companie put down for good!
We are probably not the only in this situation. If youre living through such a bad time and know how to get further to get our money back and complaints more visible please contact me. I dont want those criminals to go on with this, this is illegal and should criminally judge!

The information the reps tell you on the original phone call is not true. We were under the impression our purchase of the smart circle card from Sams club included food and drinks. Now, two weeks from traveling we are told the package we have does not include food and drinks. I do not trust this company and will not invest in the property due to the misleading information given.

I want EVERYONE out there that this company uses TELEMARKETING COMPANIES out there to call you. If you ask where they got your number, they hang up on you and an automated voice comes on and says you are taken off the list or you have been put on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

To date I have been put on the "DO NOT CALL LIST" 12 times on my home phone and 3 times on my personal cell. I find it particularly rude that they will not take the 2 seconds to speak with you BUT if you say you are over the age of consent THEY certainly will take the time to speak to you to sell you something. SERVICE means just that SERVICE to the CUSTOMER. This company will never get my business and if I receive one more unsolicited call legal action will be taken. And for all those who are having the same problem...there is a process called "Class Action Law Suite".

I am sorry for my manner of speaking but this is enough now.

me too. Another big loser with Premier Cancun Vacations. Promised all inclusive by 1st representative, then they only started recording with another another rep with additional info. Did they falsely use the name “Walmart’ when they said you ‘won’ this? If you know you are going to lose your MONEY anyway – just book the hotel anyway and don’t show up. it’s paid for and hopefully they lose any other bookings. complain to better business bureau, advise all you friends to record all their conversations-not just what they want, let your local paper know about this scam, see if credit card company protects you from a non-service or fraud as this is.

Smart Circle is a sneaky company ! When I purchased the Cancun certificate/ card for the 5 day, 4 night vacation the representative assured me it was an all inclusive package; therefore including unlimited beverage and food.
I purchased the card for $250.00 to now find out it went down to $49.00. In addition to that, the food and beverages are not included with the card. It is $792 total for two people... Are they freaking serious or simply delusional!

I hope there company stops tricking consumers in their advertisement.

Premier Cancun Vacations false information & false positioning/marketing

http://premiercancunvacations.com/

The company called my cell phone to inform me that I have been selected and won a vacation.

I was transferred to Fernando to review the details of the "special offer" and basically you are offering a pre-paid vacation.

I had to confirm that I was over the age of 18 and had a credit card to check in to a resort.

In the end there was no free vacation or winning, they wanted me to pre-pay for a vacation $500 US per person that I could use at anytime.
In addition to that they wanted me to tour the resorts and there was a timeshare plug as well.

This was a huge waste of my time (on the phone for 30 mins). The best part is you cannot email them any questions or complaint they have that part of their website disabled, so you are stuck. Even thought it states in their Privacy policy that you can put your questions and concerns in writing and email them on the website.

What a poor way to run a business.

This is a legal way to fraudulently obtaining money from unsuspecting families who are looking for a vacation, i was made to pay for a Dolphin Experience which never happened, i was given refund forms to complete to reimburse to my credit card, nothing, nada, zilch. After calling me religiously each day they stopped calling, stopped taking my phone calls, stop replying to emails, its like they never existed. I will not stop this campaign i will ensure whatever medium is available to get the message out with your help. SCAMMERS.

This is just a hustle, a rip-off. First they contacted me and offered me two vacations for $900. They always ask for the money up front. After I take the first vacation (which they screwed up the reservation), they tell me that I’m not eligible for the seconds vacation. They in turn offer me an alternate vacation package. This additional package costs extra. By now I have paid $900 for 4 nights at a Cancun 2 star resort with crappy service. I go ahead and pay the additional $650 for a 7 night vacation in the Dominican Republic. They then call me back telling me bad things about the Dominican resort. They tell me that there’s a rat infestation and that to cancel it in order to book something else. Turns out once I cancelled there’s no refund. (Which was never stated previously) and the only thing they have available is in Mexico.
They just stole from me and there’s nothing that can be done about that. Its businesses like these that do badly for Mexico. I then go to booking.com and find that there’s nothing wrong with the resort and they had it available for $380 without having to give the money up front and can cancel for free up to 2 days before. I learned my lesson. Do not accept anything from anyone saying “you won a vacation”. I believe that I was not eligible for the second vacation because I didn’t purchase any timeshare in the first vacation and they stole my $650 because either they didn’t have any business with the Dominican resort or they lost whatever business they had with them for having a bad reputation. I hope that it’s the latter.

Premier Cancun Vacations is a high pressure telemarketing rip off.

The telephone operator makes all kinds of promises that they later don't follow through with.

The promise lots of availability but the dates are never available. Then they sell you an upgrade with more promises that they don't keep

My wife and I were scammed by these people for over $1, 400. Shame on us. Don't let the same thing happen to you

I know how you feel, and it seems like this is a common problen in Mexico. I purchased a travel program through Sandos Playacar at Royal Elite Timeshare Resort in Playa del Carmen last March and I requested to cancel within the 5 day grace period but they still have not refunded my down payment of over $9000 US dollars. I have been in touch with people there and they say they are working the process but it takes time. It has now been almost 5 months and I am losing faith they will ever pay me back. This is another forum with more complaints about this company:

I believe we should do something about it, as I understand Mexican regulations forbid the offering of gifts, free vacation certificates or any other promotion strategies without informing the consumer the specific purpose of the offer. I want to complaint with PROFECO about this, and get my money back

Have you accomplished to get your deposit back? I purchased a Royal Elite timeshare last year and I'm having exactly the same problem, I was trying to get a final resolution working on my own, but I think it's time to file a complaint with PROFECO (The Mexico's Consumer Protection Agency) maybe you should do the same thing. I got a call from these people a few days ago, asking if I was at least 28 and had a credit card. I told them no I was 26 but my husband was 28, they hung up when I told the guy he was at work. They had someone else call me back today, asked the same stuff. Then they directed me to a vacation planning agent. I have dealt with people like this before cuz I went on a vacation last year that was supposed to be "free" and it really cost over $200...it was legit but a crappy trip (they had a cruise boat called the Bahamas Celebration). But anyway back to this place, the Cancun Caribbean Vacations, they offered me a trip for $698 to Cancun, Mexico for 6 days 5 nights. Now first off...I am greatly annoyed by these type of scamming lying people so I LOVE to mess with them. So I tell they guy that calls that I'm not interested in that price if he had a trip that was cheaper maybe I would be interested. He transfered me to some chick that suppossivly could offer me a deal to my liking. So this chick she's all like well I could offer you this trip for $399...I was all like welllll I'm not really interested in going to mexico cuz I would have to buy plane tickets to get there, offer me something closer I could drive to. So she then offers me a 45% discount on plane tickets to go to Cancun. I'm all like nope still not interested in going to Mexico, don't like planes. She offeres me another trip in addition to Cancun, she says I can also go to Orlando for 6 days 5 nights all for $399. I tell her I'm still not wanting to go to Mexico so she has to offer something better. So she then offers to add a cruise to either the Bahamas or Mexico on a Royal Carribean Cruise boat. I tell her I still ain't interested cuz I went to the Bahamas before and wasn't very impressed and still I didn't wanna go to Mexico. So then she ads a fourth trip of my choosing to one of like 2 dozen places all over the U.S. or Canada, Mexico or Thailand. I tell her I would only be interested in that trip of my choosing but not the others. So she says I could call some number and they would sell the other 3 trips for whatever price I wanted them to sell them for and they would give me that money back. I tell her I didn't wanna have to be bothered with that hassle and I didn't like the price yet. She offered to have me pay $200 today and the rest in 30 days. I then ask what the company is called cuz I wanna look up reviews online...she gives me the name and their website. I check it out. Website looks like they are all good but hey anyone can make a website to make theirselves look good. So I check reviews and tell her I don't like what i see. She tries everything to get me to not think badly about the reviews. I mess with her a lil longer then tell her well not interested. and hang up lol. They wanna call and annoy us so I like to annoy them, lol. This place is most likly a scam or has a lot of hidden fees they will get you with. I wouldn't buy one of their trips. They called me from the [protected] number.

Help! I keep getting calls on my cell phone from Cancun Caribbean Vacations saying I won. They ask me if over 25 and have credit card. Then transfer me to discuss vacation. I asked them to take number off their list and put on do not call list. They said okay, but THEY KEEP CALLING EVERY DAY AND SEVERAL TIME EACH DAY! They say they are affiliated with Gold Crown in Orlando Florida. They called me from the following phone numbers:

People I spoke to include David, Victor Black, Luis Perez (mgr)...albeit, names are probably fake.
WHAT CAN I DO? Please, please, send me suggestions at cmoyer dot work at gmail dot com.

I experienced a lot of what has been said said before. May 28 2012, I purchased a holiday package for two adults and two children under 12. I made it abundantly clear to these people that I was travelling with my daughter, so the two adults were my daughter and myself - no children under 12.December 12 the final of a total payment of $599.00US was made.To make bookings I needed the travel date.I consulted with my daughter, we decided on a date So come January 04 2013, I called to make bookings. Of course I was kept waiting for very long periods and it"s only because I persevered calling back after some days that I finally got through to discuss this phase involving Booking my reservation. To my utter dismay, I was told that if i was not travelling with my husband they cannot make any bookings for me. For verification they played a tape recording of a woman speaking to me. During that "conversation" she rattles out a statement that I must travel with my spouse for bookings to be made, with my voice juxtaposed in agreement to this. I don"t recall ever speaking to any woman about this package.$599.00US was paid for my daughter and me as the two adults in this package.Trying to transfer this Booking to a friend is proving to be just as problematic. Something has to be done to change this nonrefundable stand by Premier Cancun Vacations and to limit if not stop further exploitation of future holiday makers.

If you didnt take the trip, how can you say it's a scam? They tell you up front it is a non refundable package! Such pessimistic people! I am not a rep from this company, i simply pay attention before I give out my credit card number. They say you have to give hem money that day... NO you dont, the same offer or better will still be available a week later! I made them wait, did my research, found all I had to do was sit thru a time share (which I do NOT have the money to purchase so saying NO to that isnt very difficult), I sat thru it and enjoyed the rest of my vacation and spent a good amount of time at all four hotels.
