Let's see now. On my 79 year old father's behalf, I called this company after he got two weeks use of his new $2, 400 scooter in the spring before it broke. Still being under the warranty, I figured this should be easy enough---wrong! After calling an endless amount of times the first month and put 'On Hold' for hours, not minutes now, hours, they finally sent a service man. Service man orders the part. Simple enough, right, wrong! Part is coming from California, more like China. Said it would be 3 weeks. Three weeks later, no part.

I called Planet Mobility to inquire as to where part was, who immediately put me 'on hold'--surprise. Owner, Michael Woods, was my customer rep who said he had to order part. Told him the part was already ordered put never received. His reply, 'Oh, I must have missed that.' Puts me on hold for half hour. I hung up and called back and lady puts me on hold again. I hung up again and called back, and before the lady could put me on hold I told her 'no, wait' and said you already had me on hold and Michael forgot to get back to me. Meanwhile, I could hear Michael Woods in the background saying, please hold to other calls he picked up on.

I pleaded with someone to talk to me to tell me what is going on and why my father hasn't gotten his part yet. I told them that this is not right to make him wait so long as this was his only Freedom. They sent him a cheap inferior loaner scooter in the meantime, which was useless outside his driveway for fear the small battery capacity would cease, not to mention, had no safety tip wheels and place for my father's oxygen.

Anyway, after a total of 2 1/2 hours on the phone and a party conversation with the California plant and the PM customer rep, I asked for his money back. They said they could not do that. I also asked for a warranty extension telling them what good is a warranty if you don't have use of the product while the warranty is in affect. The outcome was the part was promised for that following Monday.

Monday came and my Dad receives from Fedex, a seat part for a lady who lives in the midwest. My father lives in the Northeast who is waiting for a complete control panel.

My father called Planet Mobility and after being put 'on hold' they told him that the part is coming from California and would be there in another 3 to 4 days. A week passed and my father called yet again and after being put 'on Hold' as usual was told he would get the part in 3 1/2 weeks--taking it to the end of July. Now, I called, upon hearing that empty promise once again and to this date, July 3, 2008, they have now promised that the part is being shipped express delivery on Monday, July 7. I told my Dad, let's not hold our breath in the meantime.

Attempts to move these people to be responsible: Filed a Claim with with the Michigan Attorney General online--no response yet. Filed a Claim also with the NYS Attorney General Office--no response as of yet.

So, the saga still continues... I warn others to think twice before doing business with these people unless you have endless amount of hours to spend on the phone listening to a tape recording telling you how Planet Mobility will meet, if not exceed, your needs... if you need nothing maybe!

I ordered a 3 wheel Parakeet Ultra Light walker with cup holder cane holder heavy duty nylon pouch saddle bag

What I just received is a four wheel rollator with none of the extras listed above. I specifically need a three wheel walker like I ordered. Your order #524889656305400

Where do we go from here??? I can not use the walker sent by mistake. We are getting ready to leave on vacation and I need three wheel walker badly.

Please send correct order as soon as possible along with return instructions for the incorrect walker just rteceived.

Be careful, when they finally do ship it they will probably charge you again. That's what they did to us in December 2008. We're still trying to get our refund. One check was NSF and they claimed to send a second one, it hasn't arrived in month they promised it. BBB has our complaint and Michael Woods says we got the check. Not a company to buy from.

My tale of woe with these thieves. Ordered a commode with a hydraulic assist for my mother in law. What arrives way after the expected date is half a commode with rust on the joints and missing legs and no bucket to collect the waste. A week later the rest of the stuff arrives but is still missing parts. I call for a return authorization and I'm told that I have to ship it back to them COD. I ask them TWICE if they guarantee they'll pay the shipping which came out to almost $80.00. Long story short, they refuse to accept the package so not only am I out the cost of the commode but an additional $80.00. After MANY calls I finally get to the "big" guy (ceo@planetmobility.com) and he says he'll refund everything. Never heard from him again and he won't take my calls. He should be in jail, not preying on the handicapped.

Well, where to begin? We ordered some equipment from Planet Mobility which started us down our path of frustration and fear of losing quite a bit of money. We waited the 8 wks for the expected delivery time to our surprise at no knock at the door. Picked up the phone and made the call.
It took two weeks to even get them to take our calls without a half hour wait on hold. Spent another two weeks their receptionist telling us Mr. Woods was either busy, in the warehouse, in a meeting, on a conference call, and several other excuses that escape me at the time.

Then spent a week with Mr. Woods telling us he doesn't know what happened to our order and that he would be working on it to find out what happened. At the end of the week he told us that he was sorry for what happened and would refund our money.
Mr. Woods' apology would come to be very painful to the ears and the heart because he says it alot. Every time we spoke to him he would forget who we were and what issues we were trying to work with him. Again apologies for this.

Atfter two months of him telling us that the check was in the mail, started regular mail first then UPS, we spent a lot of time checking the mail box and waiting outside for UPS truck to show up...little surprise that neither ever showed up.

After my patience had worn thin I called the local Shelby police department and explained my problem and the LT that I talked to was very familiar with Mr. Woods and then they called him. This prompted Mr. Woods to FINALLY return our calls and then proceed to threaten us with filling bankruptcy and we would never see our money. He was extremely upset. I wish I could have heard his conversation with the police. Seriously.

At any rate, he did finally send us a check via UPS which for some reason took about a week for overnight mail. We then immediately went to the bank to process the check to our surprise it bounced. YAY for more frustration. We then called Mr. Woods back to inform him of what happened and wouldn't you know it he apologized again!! And we then spent another month playing its in the mail game again and finally, finally we got a check in the mail again.

we then went to Bank of America to use his bank and cash the check. they told us not enough funds to cover the check... but they did not process the check... they informed us to call them real quick to see if they can transfer funds to that account. So I did and talked to Dale and he transferred the funds to that account and would you believe it we finally got our money back from them. I took well over 6 months for this whole process. Mike does have a personal line where we were able to get in touch with mr. Woods...586-685-3037..we called several times and after all that...we finally got our money back which was well over 4000.00 dollars...good luck...take care

I purchased a gliding standing frame on May 2, 2009. It is August 1st 2009 and still waiting on the standing frame.

They charged our credit card 4, 537 on May 2nd. I have been continually calling and have spoken to Dale, Mike Woods and several other people. I have called a total of 20 times.

The last 6 calls have been personally with Michael Woods supposedly the CEO of the company. Every time I have spoken with him it is some excuse. At one time it was shipping on July 3rd, it is in the warehouse, it is complicated etc.

Last week, Michael Woods finally admitted that they had not paid their bills to the Manufacturer then suddenly said they found it in their warehouse. I asked him not to ship it because I felt like there was some type of fraud going on.

They went ahead and shipped it anyways. However, I did not recieve what I had ordered. I received some used standing frame that is not a glider and 3 toilet seats were in the box.

I have now turned this over to the bank as a fraud case. I cannot believe that this guy is still in business. What a horrible person stealing from the disabled. They also operate under several other names on the internet.

He likes to play his disabled card and make you feel sorry for him. What a crock!!! He is a theif. Do not ever buy anything from this company.

Now we are stuck trying to get our money back and get rid of this crap that he sent to us that is not what I ordered.

I work for the Town of Bainbridge in upstate New York. We ordered a chair lift for our public pool through Planet Mobility. He took the money from our account twice and refuses to pay back the $4, 000 he "stole". He sent us a check that was drawn on a closed account. I would not recommend anyone doing business with Planet Mobility or Medical Mobility International which are one in the same.
