Signed up with Pingo in order to make international calls and was faced with endless difficulties with their service.
- There is a monthly charge which is not clearly stated when you sign up
- The service is counter intuitive to use, site faqs are useless
- Rarely, if ever, does their automated system recognise either my acc no. or the number I'm trying to dial
- The automated information about available talk time is invariably wrong, leading to cut off calls
- Account top-ups require verification which can take up to 48 hours
- Emails through online form never answered
- Emails to email address only answered by automated response.
Despite the statement
"you may discontinue service at any time by providing written notice (either electronic or through the postal service) to Pingo customer service. We will then shut down access to your account."
appearing in their terms and conditions. I am told by an automated email responder that
"Cancellation requests are not accepted via email. To cancel your account please contact our customer care line at
