Medco Healthcare Services fake caller

A robot called and left a message saying my prescription has been approved. Please call [protected] so I did. Of course I had to give my name, address, DOB and phone number. Once I gave her all of this information..my whole life...she could not find me in the system. I told her to destroy the info she had written down and she claimed it is gone as soon as she writes it down. I am disabled and get a lot of medication through the mail so I never thought about this being a scam. So any one else trying to ge their prescriptions buyer beware.

Medco Healthcare Services Worst pharmacy ever

Medco Accredo is the worst pharmacy when getting out medications. My son needs life saving medication and he could possibly die because of their incompetence. I ordered this medication over 1.5 months ago and he still has not rec'd it. This is the same medication that he has taken for the last five years. Each representative tells me a different story.

We have to use this pharmacy through my insurance company and so therefore have choice and we would have to pay 6000.00 a month for my son's medication. It just isn't right that they can hold my son's life in their hands.

My daughter (4 months old) has to have reflux medicine. The doctor changes the dosage and medco wont let us fill it at Kroger and tell us that we must order a 90 day supply because we have purchased it more than twice. Its not a long term medicine and the dosage will change almost monthly. No one there can override this and forces us to pay full price $84.00 for reflux medicine. BIG FAIL! Horrible company and Horrible Customer service

My dr. sent in two prescriptions to Medco. A week later Medco sent me an email that the Dr. had to answer questions about Victozo and Lantus. My Dr. never received the fax or email from Medco. I asked my Dr. to write another prescription and it has been a week with out my medicine. Total disregard for diabetic patients. BEWARE! Do not let your company make you use Medco.

For a pharmacy that deals in medications to stop premature birth they ARE THE WORST! 4 weeks to process a medication that aims to keep my baby alive? REALLY! Total phone tag for 4 weeks and STILL DIDNT GET THE MEDICINE!
Having to pay $4, 000 (YES 4 THOUSAND) dollars because a pharmacy cant get it together to process the prescription! CLOSE UP SHOP AND GET OUT THE BUSINESS YOUR IN BEFORE YOU KILL MORE PEOPLE! B/c Im SURE a death has resulted from this companies carelessness!

Tell them you are recording the call - and do it! No more "we have no record of an order..." Record every call; it's as easy as putting the phone on speaker and recording with your computer mic. Seems to have worked for me.

MedCo is so unbelievably bad, every time I call to renew a medication they tell me the preferred med has changed but will not or can not tell me why it changes and you have to go back through the whole rigmarole with them and have get new prescriptions from the doctor and I end up going weeks with no insulin because of them. Its just bad, very bad. They could care less about people. The should be charged with a crime.

Medco Healthcare Services shortage of pain meds, shipping charge fraud

My mother is forced to use Medco, because my dad is a U.P. employee, and the copay at the 1 local pharmacy they can use has gotten so expensive. Also they can often only get a 21 day supply locally. She has been recently shorted 90 Oxycontin out of a 180 tablet supply. When we called the company to complain, we were told the 2 technicians check the count before they are sent. This also happened a while back with her Soma, when they shorted her with 2 entire bottles, and the 1 bottle she recieved had a bunch of hair in it! She is in constant chronic pain with a broken back, and for every 2 pills they stole - that means a day of complete misery for her. We called the doctor, and they are lodging a complaint as well. We plan to contact the attorney general with one, and perhaps an insurance board. She has also paid for 1 day shipping, been told they were shipped, and then not recieved the meds for weeks. Make no mistake, this company is guilty of fraud, theft, and unbeliveable misconduct.

We have the same problem with MEDCO. They do not maintain a complete chain of custody for controlled prescriptions. As one example, MEDCO said that I had mailed my prescription in too early (it was, by a week). They returned the script to me. Fine. BUT, they sent it by first class mail. When it never showed up at my house, I was screwed. I can't go to the doctor and say, I lost a controlled prescription. He will think I am diverting the drugs. I have worked successfully with him for 20 years. They had no record of who shipped it back, when and from where. Or at least they said they had no record.

Another problem with Medco's handling of controlled prescriptions. I send in my script. It shows up as received on the Medco (world's slowest) website with an estimated shipping date. Fine, BUT than the script just disappears off the website. One day there, next day gone. This has happened 2 of the last 4 times. But, here is the interesting part, after five days or so, the script reappears and is than processed. Where was the script for five days. Here is my best guess. The script gets diverted and filled with some counterfeit pills; and than the misdirected script gets placed back in the system and the remainder is filled with some counterfeit pills mixed in with the genuine pills. It would explain the following. I was taking 40 mgs twice a day for years. After Medco came on the scene, I had to go to my doctor and have him boost my script to 80 mg twice a day. He did, but he was worried I was building a tolerance. Nah, no tolerance. Medco recently had one of my scripts stolen off a UPS truck (scanned on the truck, but never off the truck). To replace the lost drugs my doctor wrote a script which I took to the local pharmacy. And guess what, with the locally acquired medication, I only needed to take 40 mgs again.

I have more stories, but you get the point.

Medco Healthcare Services ** READ** SHROTAGE AND FRAUD!

**Please take the time to read, if MEDCO does this to 1 in every 10 customers, just think how much MORE profits they are stealing!**

My Doc writes my script for my pain killers as follows: "Take one tablet every four to six hours as needed." I filled this script for months at 2 different retail locations until the my copays were dipping deep into my wallet. I always received 120 tablets for a 20 day supply, once my Doc provided me with a long term script I mailed it into Medco. THE VERY SAME PRESCRIPTION, I RECEIVED 360 TABLETS FOR A 90 DAY SUPPLY FROM MEDCO! Ummm, where's the other 180 tablets, you shorted me an entire month's supply! Not only is Medco overuling my Doc's prescription but now, they're playing "GOD" with my pains! Add insult to injury, Medco is also selling my 180 tablets to someone else. My phone calls to Medco are over an I will soon be starting a new group on Facebook, I Hate Medco (or something to the effect).

I'll be completely honest here, it's NOT Medco's fault that the joint at my pelvis is shot/grinds, not in the least. With that said, everyday that I suffer without a painkillers, it will be recorded for the courts and jurys to watch. They will see me as the grinding pains shoot up my spine, they will see everyday so help me GOD.

It is different with me, I have only myself to care for. I think of the families with children who are NOT getting by, loosing their homes and jobs. They can NOT afford to be RIPPED OFF by MEDCO! This goes so far beyond me.

I am forced by Cigna to use this company. I am on a maintenance medication Adderall XL for over a year. In early December I mailed in my prescription. I called to inquire about the cost of the name brand medication because my physician recommended me to check. He said all the generics are a very poor substitute. It was $700.00 for a 3 month supply. I could not afford that and the prescription mailed was not marked name brand only. I requested the generic. I received an email saying the prescription was received in a week. I went on vacation for a week and came back to find messages stating they wanted to collect the $700.00 and had not sent the medication. I explained I wanted the generic and was told it would be sent. A week later I was told the prescription was lost when I called to check the status. I requested it be found and returned so I may show it to my physician. It was never returned. I received another from my physician (for a fee) and sent it in. They received it early January. I called and made payment over the automated system. A week later I called and was told my prescriptions were cancelled because of non payment by a rude customer service person. I asked for a manager. Her name was Dawn. This occurred on 1/24/2014. She checked my account and the payment was never even submitted to my bank. I verified this with my bank. I was told it would be express shipped to me and I could get a 2 week supply at the local pharmacy. Again, I paid a fee from my physician to get another prescription for the 2 weeks and had it filled. It is now 2/4/2014 and I received a totally different medication for my rosacea. She express shipped a totally different medication. I called and was spoken rudely to by a manager and was told there was a wait time to speak to her supervisor and I would have to wait for a call back. She told me they cancelled the prescription and mailed it back to me. I have not received it to date. Again she says it was for non payment although I have a confirmation number and it has been deducted from my account. I am told I must return to my physician for yet another prescription. This again will be for a fee. It has been twenty minutes and I still have not heard back from a supervisor. I do not expect to get a call. I am a nurse and I have ADD. I need to be able to focus and care for my patients. This does not only effect me but my family and job as well.

MedCo is the worst prescription drug distributer in history! I don't understand why they have total disregard for their customers and their health. Even if you send in a request as you are starting your last months supply, you will run out because they consistently take OVER a month to fill each and every prescription. How are they even still in business? I guess because it's a cheaper alternative to a decent prescription plan for employers. It's a joke!

I am on my mom's health insurance and we both order prescriptions through Medco. They wouldn't send my prescriptions because the account has a balance... for my mom's medicine! They wouldn't let me pay the $17 or $0.17 for my medicine! I have no idea which one it was because they keep talking in circles and reading off scripts. The first time I asked if I could pay for just MY prescription, they said no. The second time they said yes... but then wanted to charge me for my mom's as well ($150!) ... then I asked one more time and they said no they can only store 1 card... I never asked them to store my card... just to pay for MY prescription. I am baffled at how I can go to Safeway and pay with 2 credit cards (if splitting with a friend) ... but with a huge company like Medco they can't figure it out. Their customer service is the worst I've ever seen. I ended up hanging up on them and telling them what I really thought of their company ... more than once. If prescriptions weren't so expensive at a drugstore i'd just go there.

I moved my prescriptions to Medco for convenience. Twice in the past two years, I only received a 30 day supply. This last prescription refill the same thing happened. I went to my Dr. to ask for a copy of what was electronically sent to Medco, it was printed out and in bold it stated PT REQ 90 DAY SUPPLY. I get that Medco can only take action on what they have received. My gripe is that there was no willingness to contact the Dr to see if there was a gap in information, process or procedure. It was only - this is what the prescription says. I wasn't asking for something different, just the cortusey to reconcile the difference from what the Dr printed out that they faxed to Medco and what Medco received. Today I moved all my prescriptions to a local pharmacy.

My doctor prescribed me a medication that should have only cost about $20 after insurance. Unfortunately my doctor accidentally handed my prescription to the lady next to me and I was given hers (doctor was in a hurry). I can’t read doctors chicken scratch either.

I had sent Medco my information and the script. When I finally received my medication it cost me $150 and wasn’t even what I needed. I called to figure out what happened. And I got the doctor to send the right one. Which only cost $22.

Medco will not take the original wrong prescription back! I didn’t open the package. I knew if I did it would be reason enough not to refund the money. I sent pictures and endless emails about all this non sense. Still haven’t gotten anywhere with these fools.

I don’t have $150 to just throw out. I am on a fixed income and I can’t believe this is how patients get treated. I noticed bad customer service other places but assumed that the medical field would be a little late in noticing. I will never do business with these money grubbers ever again. I hope MEDCO gets sued by someone with enough money to do so. I’m still in shock.

I must take a drug to prevent seizures. Medco said they mailed it three weeks ago but I don't believe it.

I have since talked to four representatives including two supervisors and the meds have still not been made up and shipped out.

They feign helplessness, when really, how hard is it to make up a prescription and get it in the mail, or in this case, so close to running out thanks to them, put it in a Fedex box?

My warning is to be vigilant as to the shipping of your medicine by checking online, and ask to speak to a supervisor if not satisfied, even then, stay on them closely until you receive your medicine. Don't trust them.

They don't know what they are doing. The specialty pharmacy division, Acreedo, says that they would ship my first 3 months free of copays for Rebif injections. Medco billed me anyway, then would not credit my bank account for the $100.00 they charged, they put a $100.00 credit to my Medco balance. They are not a reputable company. They force you to get mail order and then don't even get it to you on time. They have also changed the qty per day on a $5.00 bottle of pills. No sense arguing with them, they are robots and do not respond to questions on the phone or via email with anything but a generic response. No only do they push generics, they speak generic too.

If you are suppose to take a medication every 4 hours, you need to make sure the dr puts that exact direction on the script, if the script is written as " every 4 to 6 hours" it will be filled for every 6 hours. Also many states have laws on controlled substances, this may be why your local pharmacy was filling it in 20 day increments. you may want to check your states laws about this substance.

What ever happend to this? I just had the same thing happen to me and they said they were going to send it over to the recovery dept... And they'd have to call my dr to make sure I was ok to send the others one.. So in other words there going to make me look like I stole 20 pills for fun just to get more... Crazy how this only seems to happen to a controled med b.c they know the pt will alway look like there in the wrong... Medco Healthcare Services Beware

This company is run by greedy ###! They make extra money by putting obstacles in front of patients and their doctors who are just trying to get needed prescriptions filled. Every day that Medco doesn't fill a prescription is more money in their pockets.

I'm currently trying to get my Celebrex prescription filled by Medco. I've been taking the stuff for years. Each year I get a new prescription from my doctor and send it in. Celebrex is expensive, so Medco stalls and sends my doctor an authorization form asking if I REALLY need this stuff when aspirin works great. My doctor faxes the form back after checking the boxes that say yes I REALLY need it. Time goes by. Usually, after just this hoop, Medco fills my prescription, and tells me how wonderful and responsive they are.

This time, Medco is putting a few extra hoops for me and my doctor to jump through. My doctor is busy and doesn't need this crap. I just want my Celebrex.

I never had any trouble when my insurance was with Caremark. I've had nothing but trouble from Medco.

BEWARE!

I just encountered the same problem with Medco. I have 3 refills remaining, and they are refusing to fill the Rx. I have been trying since Mid-Sept to get my refill. Now I just found out that my Doc does not want to comply with this authorization form unless he gets a visit from me which will cost me. (I saw him less then 10 months ago) It's so stupid. I have been on Celebrex over 4 years. Medco will do anything to not have to send out expensive medication. Our whole system is so corrupted, and the Affordable Healthcare Act will do nothing to change it. I hate seeing what living in the U.S. has become. I fear for my children and the kind of world they will have

Mail prescriptions two months ago and Medco says they just got them two days ago, yet they emailed me two months ago they received them. They did not give the prescriptions to BILLING until two days ago so they missed the Pre Authorization date by ten days ago so now the doctor will NOT fill out pre authorization due to MEDCO telling him for months they never got them yet they will not allow registered mail by physician only fax so they can say we never got them. A senate committee needs to speak with the doctors, call your senator or write and have them call your doctors for verification...of your claim. MEDCO SUCKS>

All of the complaints have merit and need to be investigated by a non company investigation group. Someone needs to be in jail. We are treated in the US like cattle and by our own. The higher ups in the companies need to go to jail for this. Why else would Verizon buy into this company if there were not very high profits. Write your senators...

YOU are so correct, the block is Prior Authorization Forms my physician will not do any longer since they say the did not get the form from the doctor even if sent by registered mail, it is only faxed to them. They lost our form for months and not only my parents, many other patients so the physician had to do over and over until it went thru and he has no time to do this any longer since a doctor who handles older patients so Medco has succeeded in removing another doctor from the threat of PROFIT making. I will write the pharmacy board and Chrysler and my Senator with a complaint

i used to work for medco and would deal with this problem often. unfortunately the authorization is not needed on medco's part, but on your insurance's part. Medco is only contracted by your insurance company to take care of the pharmacy part of your policy. so when the authorizations are needed it is your insurance telling them that it is needed to fill your meds. sorry for the trouble you had to go through.

Only someone at a Dr office or RPh can cancel scripts. And to prove who they are, they are required to provide their NPI/NCPDP number and contact info. It is on file.

Medco Healthcare Services Hype and puffery

I'm a retired IBMer. Under IBM's retiree medical plan, I've been getting prescription medications from Medco for several years. Medco service is extremely error-prone, in my personal experience, and its internal information handling is remarkably inefficient. And IBM is virtually impossible to reach with a specific emailed complaint about Medco. I believe neither Medco nor IBM wants any written record of dissatisfaction. Hence, I choose this public forum.

The most recent Medco flub on my account started about 3 weeks ago when I cancelled a 90-day prescription for Spiriva due to its $372.92 cost, and had my doctor fax a 30-day prescription. When Medco informed me the 30-day set was ready to ship, I checked its price, which turned out to be listed as $340.42.

This clearly was a serious error, so I called Medco to cancel that order, and explained that their database or perhaps some employee was a bit scrambled. The Medco rep apologized and said she'd cancel the 30-day order; I said I'd get the Spiriva locally.

Last week a Medco rep called me to say the 30-day Spiriva order price had been corrected. I told her that didn't matter to me, that I no longer trust Medco at all, am getting that med locally, and please make sure that 30-day order is cancelled.

This morning Medco sent me an email announcing that the 30-day Spiriva order has been received and is ready to ship. Unbelievable! I immediately called Medco to cancel that shipment. The rep assured me it would not be shipped. As I say, this amazing mismanagement instance is just the latest in a years-long series. It's clear to me that Medco is very badly operated. Perhaps it's a company that grew too fast. Perhaps it's just a company that's 90% hype and puffery. Whatever the case, I'm gone. But I'll be happy to discuss Medco - and the IBM benefits department's reaction to emails I sent them - with any interested party.

Or thay don't want to show me how much I am paying .I should just go to walgreens and pay full price but I am disabled and don't have that kind of money.so we don't eat and all family members get sick from not eating.hell I just started seeing a Heart Doctor and Lung specialist both of them say I would be alot better of without stress, MEDCO is going to kill me ...

When I order prescriptions from Medco it is always a 90 day supply, my doctors office made a mistake and sent a prescription for 30. Medco filled the order for the reduced quantity and charged me the same amount 90 would have cost. It typically takes a week for them to fill and ship an order, this one for the short quantity went out in 2 days. Medco said I am responsible for my doctors mistakes and basically said that is too bad. I feel like this is theft, I never authorized an order for 30 ea.

I have never filed a complaint before until I had dealings with Medco. I even went to the Attorney General. This company bills your insurance, bills your credit card, doesn't send medication and puts a stop on your insurance so you can't get medication elsewhere. The customer service is just as bad. When asked for names I was only able to get first ones, even from the supervisors. They were all argumentive and condencending. They have no regard for peoples health or well being, only about the bottom line.

I had very bad experience with Medco pharmacy, they kept making mistake on our family medications such as delay or put it on holds, send out less quantity then the Dr. Order on prescription, their employee not well trained, but I stuck with them no matter what, my insurance company won’t pay for the cover of the drug if i purchase them at the retail pharmacy if the drug is a long term medication.

I don’t know what to do any more, it’s like a trap for me.

I hope that some one can start the class action lawsuit against them.

I have to get my son's insulin through Medco, a 90 day supply at a time. I have yet in the last 10 years gotten a correct order or gotten an order when needed.

This time they are saying they haven't gotten the prescription from my childs doctor at Childrens Mercy, Childrens Mercy says they haven't gotten a request, that was in July. At my son's appointment on August 23rd, I watched the nutritionist fax the prescription myself. It is now September 3rd, and still no insulin. I went to my pharmacy that I get other temporary medication from to get insulin and my insurance wouldn't cover it because medco has "dibs" on sending the insulin. I am allowed 3 refills per calendar year for insulin and haven't used any but when I go to try to get it I am asked to pay full price.

My son is 15 years old and was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 2. It has been a stressful disease at times. But when you have to worry if your going to get the medicine that keeps your child alive and healthy every ninty days, that is just cruel.

On a positive note, my last refill they gave me refills for an insulin pen, which he has been off of for over a year, and we have used that to fill the insulin pump.

I am a retired IBMer. If I have any other option for prescriptions this renewal (other than MEDCO), I am going to take it. MEDCO's website takes 10 seconds to deliver any screen. When they communicate to a question, they send you an email and tell you to sign on to see their answer.

I have been trying to get a 2017 expense total for a month. For the 3rd time, they want to call me to confirm personal information.

I stopped sending in my prescription to MEDCO because I could get it for $10 at Target. MEDCO was $15. Recently MEDCO reduced it to $10 - so now I can buy my medicine from MEDCO for the same price I get it at Target without insurance.

Sell this stock short.

Under three different health plans, Medco has been the mail order drug provider. I have never had a positive experience with them. Medco has managed to incorrectly process and invoice prescription orders 90% of the time. The problems have ranged from mailing prescriptions to the wrong address, canceling new orders with a valid doctor's prescription to invoicing the full balance when the account was setup for extended payments. In most circumstances, Medco has been unwilling to correct their mistakes which adversely affect me. I have had to go as long as a week without medication and had the entire balance of my account ($700+) debited from my account in error by Medco. It is unfortunate that the consumer is the one who is impacted without any recourse against Medco. Since Medco is the largest of only a small number of mail order drug companies, they are able to continue to provide an unacceptable level service because of no competition. If companies in other business sectors operated as poorly as Medco, they would be out of business.

Medco allows non pharmacists to fill your prescriptions.

Medco allows medications to be in an unsanitary environment.

Medco allows certain folks to use company resources for personal use.

Medco allows certain individuals to break policy and others may not.

Medco doesnt care if your family member is going to off themself because no one will help them. They would rather call the police and get their profit.

The fact is that all of this will be exposed shortly. Things like Human Resources unethical activity, VPGM's unethical activity, Corporate persons unethical activity...it isnt going to be attractive. Medco is just plain an amateur company trying to be big league and will cut any corner to get there.

Anyone who is thinking about joining Medco or just has, DO NOT. Get the heck away. These people are grossly negligent and are stupid. They will think nothing of witholding chronic medication, cancel prescriptions WITHOUT authorisation, or being instructed to do so, send whatever medications they feel like sending, EVEN IF NOT ORDERED. Precription medications are added and put on the online prescription medication list taht has nothing to do with the patient. They are liars to. Even the word of supervisors and higher up do not carry any vlaue. They promise and swear blindly that mediucation will be overnighted to paients, and a week later there is still no delivery. They will NOT deliver medication if there is an outstanding balance, that shoulkd be included in a second medication order, but that was stopped due to incompetence, neglect, and unwarranted interference from idiots that have no right to be working there. So, you can rather die than get your chronic medication from Medco. Does not matter what problem you have, THEY WILL DECIDE IF YOU GET YOUR MEDICATION OR DIE... Legal action is pending

I ordered medications on May 3, 2017 online and had 3 pending prescriptions. On May 4 my doctor indicates that they responded to Medco's request. On May 13 Medco cancels the order and removes the reorder availability from my online account. I call customer service what a joke, person is like reading from a script and offers no assistance. Blames me and my doctor for their failure to provide the service they are contracted to provide. So far all I get from them is excuse after excuse. Medco should not be in the mail order prescription business if they can not provide the service effectively and efficiently. Worst service provider I have ever dealt with in my entire life.
