I have just found out that Ministry of Education, Canada has shut down the operation of LSBF Canada due to non compliance of law and failure to pay a total penalty amount of CAD $64000. I called the LSBF London office and continuously asked then if their office in Canada was still operational and they had no answer for that. They kept spinning the conversation around. I know several students who are expecting refund amounts of close to CAD 9000... please everyone... listen closely... they are doing some big fraud with everyone. I am proceeding with legal action against them and i do think it would be a good idea for everyone to keep calling up their regional and head office and pestering them for a certain answer on when the refund amount will be issued... if we work together we might be able to get out money back!

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] LSBF MBA Scam

Anyone thinking to join their CIMA+MBA ACCA +MBA or International MBA program should think it twice. I have graduated with their MBA program affiliated with University of Wales in January 2013, but still not received any MBA certificate, transcripts at all, there is the same situation with my every batch mate, most of us are not in UK anymore and have tirelessly wrote to LSBF about MBA certification but once in month we receive e: mail from them that its been getting prepared and it is from last six months.. I have wrote to UOW and they are unable to help. We are now at no where. LSBF is a fishy institute which rely heavily on its marketing to play around with the future of developing countries students, and their paid agent will mislead you in every step, so be very cautious and avoid them at every cost otherwise you will be wasting your time and money like us

Refund case CAS-23084-L0T8Z5

Won’t give me my entitled refund and are ignoring me.

I was extremely excited to have been accepted to the MiniMBA. I had paid 1400£ to get confirmation of enrolment and planned on paying the remainder after.

I was accepted to a local university for my post grad and had to cancel WELL in advance of my non-refund opportunity. I’ve been messaging since august 24 for a refund and I’m now getting ignored. This school and company will rob you.

I have jumped through all hoops, including using their refund portal.

I think they are waiting until the non-refund policy of 15 days prior to the course (December 12).

I am owed 1600$ Canadian and they are officially ignoring me since September 8th.

I’ve sought out my lawyer now and will proceed with legal suit. DO NOT TRUST THIS SCHOOL.

This has been resolved- Once Cassandra got involved with my case my refund was handled exactly how she promised. I'm very happy with the result and WILL be attending the MiniMBA when my schedule allows it.

In my point of view- there is a clean slate and I look forward to doing business in the future.

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] Refund Issue

Subject: Complaint Against LSBF College regarding refund.

Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing this complaint against LSBF College to collect my refund, which I have been waiting for since 2011 and to date I haven’t received it. I would briefly explain the situation in this letter and I have also attached the relevant correspondence.
As you will see that my visa was refused on 6th Dec 2011 and I applied for refund on 16 December 2011, which was approved and I was told to provide my bank details so that they can transfer the money, since than my case has been dragged and I have spent nearly more than 100 euros calling their department few time I have talked to Olier and Laura king, who promised me that within 14 day my money will be in account and this was almost every month.. I am really stressed and also lost a year in my college as I couldn’t pay my fees, I am paying interest on this money as I borrowed it from a lending agency . I am a student here in Ireland and work part-time to support my expenses and studies.
I finally decided to complain as I found out there are several others who are after their refund and UK embassy referred me to write to you. I hope you will be helpful to me as I have been disappointed by several others out there.
Would really appreciate if you take action against them as my case is strong and my refund is already approved but still they are harassing me.

Thanks

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] No refund

I applied to LSBF toronto for an ACCA program and I was admitted. The advisor asked me to pay my tution ution very fast and not to worry incase i don't get the visa, they will refund the money.i was denied the visa two timmes and decided to request for the refund.
Its almost two years and i am still waiting. They tell me to call some number in the uk and talk to Larry king. Ive called so many timmes no reply. Sent emails and left voicemails no reply. When i get lucky and somebody picks up, they still tell you to leave a message for larry. Im sure my money is making profits for them.
I would not recommend anybody to this college, especially international students. Look for serious colleges that are more interested in academics not your money.

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] Black Mailing and Bribe

Respected Sir,
My name is Furqan . I have to inform you that LSBF is getting very bad repute now a days and high complaints from people.
I am from Pakistan and wanted to inform you that regional office in Lahore is worst office and unprofessional.I recently applied for my study visa for UK with full advance deposits. After refusal I was black mailed and irritated. Consultants named Fahad Saleem and Ibraar both didn't responded to my call and even didn't replied to my mail. After many days of repeated visits I was not allowed to meet anyone . Once I met Ibrar and he just asked me that he is leaving for one month and give the drafts after his arrival and rushed to car.
I was shocked about the process and unprofessional attitude. After all after I became angry and then I was being zig zaged about procedures. I came to know that every person was involved.
I asked them about their intention and came to know about demand for money against 6000 pounds. At last I gave them 300 pounds and 20000 PKR to with draw my drafts.
Atlas I was free after struggle of many days. Thanks to LSBF for your professional and well reputed HELL.
If this is your professionalism then by the will of God your institutes will be finished soon.
I am going to ask you what is the cost of my tension? My struggle? My unhappiness ? My stress? Can lsbf recover my loss other than money?
Your institute is against Code of Ethics and professionalism .It is against human rights .See beyond your power and you will realise God watching all of you and waiting for the day of judgment.
Kindly take strict actions.
Furqan

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] No Refund - LSBF

I am an international student and had applied to go to Canada to complete ACCA at LSBF Toronto. I paid the deposit of $2489.31 into LSBF's account so as to get the acceptance letter to apply for my visa. LSBF allocated a visa officer (Lindsay Belovari) to me upon whose instructions, I filled out the forms and after her approval, I sent the visa forms to the high commission who then rejected my application. I have met all the requirements of LSBF's refund process but it has been 4 months and I have yet to get any kind of response from LSBF about the progress of my refund even though according to the email LSBF has sent me, they say that they will definitely resolve all cases within 45 working days. "In straight forward cases we aim to resolve such cases within 21 working days, however the maximum time scale is 45 working days". The maximum as mentioned is 45 days and it has now been 4 months. And from my recent research, I see that there are a lot of other people also not receiving their refunds.

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] Refunds

Dear Sir /Madam,

My name is Hasanboy Vasijonov.

My student ID: A4010819

I am a former student of LSBF, London.

In March 2013 my student visa has been refused.

I applied for refunds following the required procedure of the school, but

they refused to refund my deposit even though my ACCA full time course

has not been commenced yet.

The school administration replied claiming that it is not the LSBF's fault that my visa refused therefore, I am not eligible for refunds.

The reason of my visa refusal was, the UKBA officer could not read the details of my bank account which was filled on the appropriate section of the application form. But I did not leave the space between the 16 digits of my Debit Card.

When my application returned for non payment, I ordered postal check and resent it.

This time the UKBA replied that I applied for visa too late as my current visa is expired therefore, I don't have established presence, therefore I had to show £9000 instead of £4600 which I had.

Now I don't know how to deal with the school. How they can refuse the money they have not entitled to take? I cant afford loosing so much hardly earned money. I have met many students with the same fate, met them in different internet forums. Why these institutions still

exist in the UK openly and why authorities ignoring when such injustice is taking place?

I would have been grateful if you could take action against the schools policy and help hundreds of students like me to get out of this trap.

My best regards,

Hasan.

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] Breach of Contract

Dear Complaints Board,

I applied for a professional ACCA course at the London campus of the London School and Business and Finance (LSBF) back in December 2012. After about two months processing all the documents I issued and paid them the sum of £3075.00 for the course through my UK debit card.

In February 2013 they informed me that, due to a mistake in their assessment of my visa status, I could not take the course. Please note that the courses had started in January, though I have obviously not been able to attend. I was then told to apply to see if I was eligible for a refund, which I did. I received a message on their electronic ticket system informing me that it could take up to 45 working days to reach a decision as to whether I was entitled for a refund.

On 26th March 2013 I received a ticket message saying I was indeed entitled for a refund by Laura King of their refunds department. She informed me that the refunds team could take up to ANOTHER 45 working days to process my refund. Since, I have left the UK and have been making international calls from Mauritius every week. I never again managed to speak Laura King. Instead the line was transferred to Balakrishna Ramasamy, also from their refunds department, who in early May 2013 assured me he would send me an e-mail informing me of the situation, which he never did. Today is the 29th May 2013, meaning that over 45 working days have elapsed and that LSBF are now in BREACH OF CONTRACT.

I have sought legal advice both from a lawyer and the UK Trading Standards and they have advised me to send an official letter or e-mail entitled 'Breach of Contract' explaining that I am now setting a new deadline of 7 days for them to process my refund payment. I have duly done so. If my money is not returned to me by Wednesday 5th June 2013, I will sue the institution in court.

However, what concerns me most is not just the completely unethical approach of LSBF to this problem but the fact that the institution seems to systematically do this to a number of international students as evidenced by the number of complaints on this very website. I invite readers to type in 'lsbf' on the search bar of this website or on google and see for themselves how many complaints have been lodged against them. Moreover, I will invite readers to see how below each complaint, LSBF sends a generic comment stating the are dealing with the problem.

I would venture making the argument that LSBF have a very well structured system in place to hold on to students' money for more than 90 working days. I do not know what they do with the sum they have in hand, but I would strongly urge the competent authorities concerned to investigate the question.

In addition, I also observe that virtually ALL the complaints emanate from international students, who tend to be constrained by the fact that it would be logistically difficult for them to stand in front of a UK court to sue the institution. Luckily, I have a brother who is a UK national based in London and who is willing to and, I have been advised, can stand in my place. Still, my broader concern is for all the other people who have been through the same ordeal.

If there are any investigative journalists or aspiring ones among the readers on here I would strongly encourage you to look into the matter as you could have quite a story here: a highly reputed multinational educational institution with questionable ethics and possibly far more serious cases of malpractice. Don't take my word for it- just do a quick google search and find out for yourself how many international students have been conned in the same way. Also, ask yourself the question: why do they need to hold on to that money for so long? The answer would be rather intuitive.

I expect the generic message from LSBF to appear as a comment in the coming days but I have been used to LSBF practices to know that despite their assurances, nothing will be done for my legal right that entitles me to my own hard-earned money that is sitting in somebody else's bank account and earning that person/company/higher education institution interest.

Finally, I would urge the aspiring journalists among you to be quick if you want a scoop as I firmly intend to get in touch with one regardless of whether I obtain a refund by the 5th June and regardless of whether or not I win the court case.

I sincerely hope for everyone that has been through the same ordeal that a) we obtain our refunds in the shortest possible time, b) that the general public is made aware of this unethical practice by LSBF so that nobody might again be victim of the same plight and that c) the UK authorities do not overlook this matter simply because we happen to be international students (and hence happen to contribute a considerable amount to the UK economy) and duly investigate this practice by the institution.

Finally, as an active member of the UK Labour Party and as one who holds UK universities in very high esteem (as I did both my undergraduate and Masters degree there and therefore owe more than just my formation to them), I hope that parliament addresses the broad problems that have recently emerged in a number of UK universities. My view is that the a few terrible institutions (along with rising fees) are not only drawing students to shores but also bringing a country with an unrivaled tradition of nurturing the brightest minds to disrepute. I will send letters to a number of MPs (including Tory and Lib Dem ones) to bring the LSBF matter to their attention.

I have started to apply for ACCA+MBA with Lsbf they issued me offer letter and showed me how much the life will be easy, then I got my CAS and visa to find out that course don't entitle me for work or to bring my family with me, I requested to cancel this CAS and they actually FDIC and started convincing me of another course that entitles me for work and bring me dependents, I asked directly when will this course start they confirmed, it starts every month so no problem to join any thus I requested to start on September, they astonished me that u can only start in July so send us your paper to issue u a CAS that was on 10th June, It takes about 10 days to issue a visa here, I am working in international bank here, so I have two months notice period, it's not going like that to say bye and leave.

I requested a refund for my deposit they didn't show up after that

Could you please help with that

AGAIN, Can I get a further update on my fee refund? I see my ticket history has been cleared and the 45 working days I was instructed on is now up. When will the money be transferred into my account? It's funny how quickly the fees were taken but the school finds it so very difficult to give refunds!

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] Refunds, disrespect

Ticket Number: 11507
First of all, to make it clear. Finance and Business Training Birmingham (thereafter FBT) is the branch of London School of Business and Finance London (thereafter LSBF). Here are my bad experiences at FBT. in September 2010, after I finished my accounting defree at university, I went to FBT to do an ACCA course as one of my friends kept saying that professional qualification is important for accountants. When i went for registration at FBT, the advisor insisted that I am not exempted from any subjects in ACCA, even if I have an accounting degree. I am a trusting person, so I believed what the advisor said and went on to the course. in December, I was informed by ACCA itself that I am exempted from 6 subjects, which means the time I spent between september 2010 to December was a total waste, as well as the tuition fee. However, due to my long established and solid trust to education providers at the time and belief that the mistakes are being made by them unintentionally, I forgave them.
In 2011, I finished ACCA study and returned back to my university to do my masters's degree. After that was finish in September 2012, I started looking for jobs. In the meanwhile, my girlfriend who was also studying towards accounting suggested me to go back to FBT to do a CIMA degree as well, since I can get more than half exemptions from CIMA, too. At the time, I was also with the attitude of "the more, the better". so I went back to FBT in December 2012. I honestly told the admission advisor (Lena Patel) there all my education history, including my 1 year study in FBT in 2010. She said everything is fine and gave me an offer. Afterwards, in a few days time, I paid for a deposit of £2720 to FBT. a couple of days after I made the payment, I went to the see the visa advisor at FBT, when she told me that I cannot study here no more since I have studied at NVQ lvl 6 and above for already 5 years, as this is the UKBA regulation that international students can only study for univeristy, masters and professional degree together for 5 years (a new rule in 2011 or 2012, which I did not know about at the time). I was left wondered, why did not they tell me this when I went there first time and before I paid the tuition fee? anyway, then I applied for a refund to LSBF, because the finance of FBT is controlled by LSBF. since then, I contact LSBF at least 5 times a day to push the request through. Finally, by the end of January, the request is approved. however, the finance guy at LSBF asked for my visa copy in order to release refund. I was surprised, because my visa is not from FBT and I have never been sponsored by them. I was really angry and went to LSBF London and explained to them that I am now working, my passport is sent out for renewal of work permit (which usually takes 2 months to be renewed). however, they insisted they cannot refund me without valid visa, which is ridiculous. with or without a visa, my money is always my money. Anyway, at the end, I showed my certificate of sponsorship issued by UKBA, company letter, and photocopies of my passport, they still insisted on seeing my new visa. after almost a hour discussion, they finally agreed to approve my refund without waiting for my new visa to be granted. after a couple of days, when i called in to LSBF, they said my refund should hit my account in a month time, which never happened. when I called them in February, the finance team confirmed with me that I am in the march pay run and I will be refunded in the middle of march. which is a lie again. so I called in on 17 th March, the lady who answered the call asked me to wait one more week. which I did, but they did not make it happen. so I called them again, and LSBF again said it is easter, so I need to wait another one to two weeks. Now is 18th of April, 3 weeks from easter, I still have not got anything at all. I am calling them every single day, at least 5 times a day. Always the same answers, no one is available, or the line is engaged, or the person you are looking for is away from his desk. Today I finally got through to one of the finance advisor (Balakrishna), he asked for my ticket number, then asked me to wait a while for him to check my refund request. I was put on hold for 20 minutes by him, and being hanged up afterwards (20 minutes waiting in silence and being hanged up?). So i called him again in 2 hours time, the exactly same thing happened again! I have told them I will sue LSBF, and make this whole thing go public, but it seems they never bothered! No suprise, they got a big guy standing behind them. I will definitely keep fighting for my case. This is not only about the £2720 fee that I need, but also for the disrespect I have had from them, the big "let down" I faced after given them so much trust. If there are anyone who are in the same situation as me and are willing to take legal actions, please do conact me at any time. Email: [protected]@aston.ac.uk. Also, for those who may give me some advices or help, please do conact me at the email address listed above, too.

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] Refund

My name is Haider Ijaz. Student ID A4050497, Ticket ID 11684.
I am just giving here a summary of what has been done to me and how I have been misinformed and after applying refund it's been about two months that I have NOT heard anything regarding my ticket which is now resulting as a barrier in my studies ahead as all my money has been ripped by the college.

I had applied to LSBF Toronto Campus originally as an ACCA student. I then withdrew my visa application and transferred to London Campus as an ACCA student. I was informed of the Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting & Finance that was being offered then in partnership with LMU. I just had to pass two of my ACCA papers to be transferred to it. I did that and applied to be transferred in August 2012. Originally, my consultant was Paul Sargent but he used to reply really late that's why Jessica Trice dealt with my situation more and more.

On 30 August, the licence of LMU was revoked. I contacted jessica to confirm that what will now happen of my course. She told me that everything will be same and LSBF will issue their own CAS which means that I won't have any working rights. I agreed to it and I did all the necessary steps for my CAS which included making a deposit in addition to the money transferred from Toronto Campus, ACCA course. I used to receive calls from Credit Control about the remaining fee for which I told them that I will pay in instalments.

I got my CAS in October and applied for my visa which was successful and I was granted visa on November 1, 2012. I decided to travel to London on December 13, 2012. I had registered for two ACCA exams in December 2012 session which I had to skip because of my travel preparations. Before travelling to London, I asked Jessica about my classes and she said I will get an email near to my course start date which was January 7, 2013. Just a day before travelling to London, I received this call from Credit Control who told me that I have to pay my fee. When I told them about the instalments, the person on the phone told me a totally different story about instalments telling me that I must pay 50% of the remaining fee initially then pay the remaining 50% in 4 monthly instalments with an excess charge of £50 per month. I was really annoyed at not being informed of this before.

I reached London on December 13, 2012. I called the college to ask of my course and instead of giving me any information they transferred me to Haron Kaburi in credit contorl, who asked me to come and pay my fee straight away. HE DIDN'T TELL ME A WORD ABOUT MY COURSE OR MY CLASSES!

I nonetheless went to college on December 18, deposited my fee and was told to visit administration for my course. I went there and they told me literally nothing. The two ladies at the counter discussed for minutes between them about the course and then agreed to call me back on January 7.

When I went back on January 7, 2013 to finally get something about my classes, one of the two ladies who had asked me to come back last time told me that my course had been cancelled. She apologized for NOT letting me know about it on December 18. I was totally shocked to hear the news. I had travelled miles, left my home, spent alot of money to get there to study in the college that I believed to be one of the best in the business right now.

She then gave me choices to select from but I refused to study anything else as it was useless for me to study ACCA now with only four papers left which I already had been studying on my own. I preferred refund and she gave me the process for it BUT asked me to first contact Paul Sargent before taking any steps so that may be another way can be found out for me.

Back home, my mother got seriously ill due to this mental torture and trauma by the college. I had constant headache for weeks resulting in Migraine. It was a shock for my parents who had spent their entire savings on this one visit to get me to UK.

Paul then mailed me to inform on January 8 that my course had been cancelled assuming that I wasn't in London. In the mails that I exchanged with him, he first told me to do ACCA and I refused the offer as I told him I only have FOUR papers left. Then later he mentioned I can't have refund because I am already in London (The height of miscommunication because different story had been told by the lady at the counter, her name was Fatima Jeeto). And then in another email he just claimed about some terms and conditions on the website stating that the college can change the course on their own without giving any information to students and force it UPON them which is a little absurd because there were no such terms and conditions on the application form that I have with me nor was it mentioned about ANY terms and conditions on THE WEBSITE that I have to comply with.

I had already wasted alot of my money and my precious time, not missing the fact that my parents were ill, so I decided to travel back to Pakistan on January 12, 2013.

I submitted my refund ticket and have been waiting since to hear back.

I don't know how will I continue my education. I have been waiting patiently. I have paid about £3317 for my fee and £1800 for my travel expenses including ticket, accommodation and other necessary travel arrangements.

I have been waiting for long and I haven't heard back. I need a decision on my ticket but I am not getting one, It's been more than 45 days. I submitted it back in January.

Dear Sir/Madam;

My name is Nyirahabimana Yvonne from Rwanda; I was admitted (ACCA) at LSBF Toronto campus (student no: T10201486 Passport No:PC134835) unfortunately I got a Visa refusal. I then applied for refund on 18th June 2012 and i sent all necessary document ( i.e. visa refusal copy) then I got message that informed me that I was eligible for refund amount of $2085.00 CAD. I sent my bank details and many messages thereafter but still no positive reply!
8 months now (yet the refund terms and conditions is maximum of 45days) I really don’t know whether there is something wrong with my case or not!

I was informed by one of LSBF Toronto campus student representative that the final refund decision come from UK Refund committee that's why I've decided to send this message seeking help and information regarding my case. Please tell me what’s going on?

I had enrolled myself in LSBF canada on sept, 2011. As soon as I got my Letter of Acceptance after paying a deposit of CAD $ 4, 475, I had applied for my visa for Canada. Unfortunately I was rejected the visa twice which forced me to apply for refund. I created a ticket with number 6703 on 12th Feb, 2012. After being approved the refund, I provided my bank details as per asked. Due to delay I started inquiring more often and I would get replies that my refund would be processed by July, than mid of November and lastly end of January. It has now been more than a year since I have applied for my refund and I am still waiting.

I am asking for any advice on my refund of tuition from LSBF.
On 29th Aug 2013, My student permit was refused for the sake of LSBF whose ACCA program in Toronto Campus is unregistered under PCC. Half a month later, the case for tuition refund was established in so called Ticketing System (#14672). Five months has passed by. The school say the case is still under review. I remember the time when I paid my tuition took only one day for the school to process. How efficient it was.
My student No. T10203442. Has anyone got the tuition back from LSBF? If yes, any advices will be appreciated. we may help each other and work together.

Hello everyone, im also confused.

I got enrolled for the Global MBA 2021, which i have apply to postponed and i have joined a few classes online.

But during my 3rd semester for Strategic Management and Leadership, suddenly i got kicked out from my class, i cant access my class.

I contacted the Student support, it is fast for the admission team to reply to me, but suddenly i got blocked from the whole email system. Im not sure what happened, but they havent been replying to me so far. I have been waiting for 2 months, but still got no response from them.

Hope one of you could direct me where i could go to complain into the government system. Since same as you guys, they are not replying to me and even blocked my email from the system. Im afraid this weird things happened since the early 2023, due to the recession and collapsed happened to UK, many private institutions got collapsed, they suddenly change the system and we cant contact the Student Support.

I got entered into the Italy UNINETUNNO system as well, so i will also contact them since they are the affiliate university partner as well.

Hope to hear more from you guys, thank you.

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] Refund delay system

Hi, My ticket No: 11037, i think my ticket was issued before all of you guys above and still i haven't got my money back. I m really disapponted with LSBF and i dont recommend this college . Even five of my friends were getting admission in lsbf but when they saw what lsbf is doing with me, they left and got admission in some other college.I have been calling Lsbf for the last 5 months but operators always gives lame excuses that no one is availbe . They just take contact no and email, i think i have given my mob no near abt 60 times but no response. Its just injustice with all of us.
Now we are in 2013 where transferring money takes seconds not months, i hope you can imagine that its just a deliberate delay . I am going to launch a complain to Prince Michael of Kent GCVO about my case.. http://www.lsbf.org.uk/school/patrons.html.

I think London school of business & finance (lsbf) is doing it regularly. It is their habit. They always late about refund system. They said it will take 40 days to get back refund, but they take more than 3 months or higher to do this. So i think avoid this institution and complain to British border agency to cancel their registration.

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] refund request - poor service

I signed up at LSBF to do my ACCA and the service was good, everything was sorted out very quick and enrolment was done immediately.

ONCE payment had been carried out, that was it. That is where the service stopped.

I hardly managed to get answers to my questions or emails. I finally decided ACCA was not for me and asked for a refund, i submitted my refund application 3 months ago, and according to LSBF website it takes 45 days to process. This is already a huge time span for a simple request, but still i was patient and waited. It has been way over that time period and i have still not heard from them. I have emailed repeatedly, called regularly, left messages daily. BUT no response.

Am currently in talks in regards to taking legal action against them.

Would suggest people find other places to do ACCA, as i am not the only one who has had problems with LSBF but the majority of students have.

Hiren

Hi guys,
I am in the same situation that you, I paid a deposit of £3000 pounds and I asked for my refund and they said that they are going to pay me in 45 days, I am waiting 6 months for it. Maybe we 3 can go to court together or call the media.

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] Refund of fees

Ticket ID:11344
Applicant number: A4060391
My Name is Ononne Bassey. I recently applied to LSBF London Campus for my ACCA programme and proceeded to make a deposit of £2800 from my savings on the 7th of December 2012 because I was rushed by one of the advisers/Consultants at LSBF to make payments so that I could get my CAS letter to enable me apply for Visa in time so that I can meet the January session as my Visa will be expiring on the 11th of January 2013. Due to my parents absence, I couldn't give them a full break down of the costs. When I was finally able to do so, my Mum who has been sponsoring my education for as long as I can remember said she wasn't able to fund this one as she has already spent heavily on my Masters degree at University of Dundee. I Understood with her and on the 9th of January contacted Galya Nikulin my consultant to start the refund process. she gave me a contact link
In the document she sent to me, it reads that it takes about 15 working days to get a response on the possibility of a refund.
However, on calling the school directly after several failed attempts, I spoke to a member of staff (Balakrishna Ramsamy)and he informed me that it will take about 21- 45 working days to get a response. secondly, he forwarded a no response email which contained another emai requesting that i should send my notifications to every time that I update my ticket. it is however unfortunate to say that on several attempts to send my email to the address provided [protected]@studyintractive.org, I received equal failed notices. I didn't t have a good feeling about this so I decided to look him up(Balakrishna Ramsamy) and his name popped up on Linkedin and records there show that he has worked for LSBF as a customer support specialist for online issues and suggest that he doesn't work there any more. I also researched and found out that several students have gone through the similar ordeals with LSBF hence the reason i am coming to you to make this report. It took me two days before I was able to get through to a member of staff in the refunds department. I was hung up on once, made to wait for several minutes without my call being transferred and told that I was going to receive a call which I never did.
I have seen a couple of negative reviews on LSBF refund policies and procedures http://www.complaintsboard.com/?search=LSBF
and I do not intend to be an addition to the existing figure. It is on this note that i am making an appeal to you to help speed up this process as i am scheduled to leave the UK on the 9th of January 2012 and I do not have money to get any ticket. It is a very unfortunate situation because LSBF has lost so many potential students based on the negative publicity that this refunds has caused and the question is "is it worth the trouble? i will stop at nothing to get my money back even if it means the social media or consulting a lawyer, thankfully i know a handful lawyers. i am very informed LSBF and i hope it doesnt get to that.

I recently got admission for a course "Postgraduate Certificate in Management" at the London School of Business and Finance. As is customary in my country, you have to apply for a visa to permit you to study in a country such as the UK, to do this one would require a CAS or in this case a letter from LSBF to the Embassy.
Now, I was told by my supervisor in order to receive this letter for my visa application I would have to pay my fees in full, I did this. And received the letter to apply.
A week after my application, I received feedback from the embassy that my visa was denied.
I immediately informed my supervisor who advised me to begin the refund process with he school.
I provided them with the rejection letter and any other information they need to make a proper decision.
After their deliberation, I received feedback today that my application for a refund was denied stating that I paid a deposit instead of the full payment as they pointed out in the admission letter.

I have written them to say that I do not agree with their assessment seeing as I paid in full and based on their rules, visa rejection cases should be refunded and they have responded saying that I paid for a short course and hat is treated as a deposit payment and that it's written in my offer letter. This was not stated in my offer letter, all I was told to do was to secure my space and pay within 14 days and as mentioned by my course supervisor, I was to pay in full to receive my visa letter.
Please find my details below:
Student number: A4094880
Amount paid: £3, 900
Course: Postgraduate Certificate in Management.
Course start date: 14/07/2015
Campus: Tower Hill, London

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from anyone.

You can go to money claim online of GOV to claim you money. That is the only way. QAA and BAC are not helpful anymore. I contact them all.

I have same problem with LSBF UK... I apply for ACCA and paid for 5760 GBP, after that they withdraw an offer as its not satisfy. I can not understand why they issue unconditional offer then withdraw it like that. Admission people is not working probably to process the application. Now i missed my course started on Feb 2015 and i dont ave money to pay deposit for my master... its wasted my time and money...it has been 3 weeks now since i applied for refund but hvent heard anything from them. One time, i received an email saying " there is an update about your case", but stupid is that when i open the link, its the other case of other student... I can not understand ow the hell are the working so unprofessional... I wouldnt recommend any friend of mine or anyone else apply to LSBF... Its dangerous as you can loose your money ... everyone should stay away LSBF

Applicant number: A4044553
My name is miss memon and I approached Lsbf London in January 2012 with regard to my admission in CIMA+MBA programme.
I emailed my previous educational documents to Ms Sadia Hussain (course consultant) on 6/01/2012. My visa was due to expire on 19/02/2012. On 17/01/2012, she asked me to pay a deposit £3400 towards my fee in order to issue an offer letter.on 27/02/2012 Sadia told me pay full amount to secure your place in the course 30/1/2012 so I paid the rest £3100 on 27/1/2012 as for further extension of leave, I was required CAS from my educational institution according to UK Border Agency requirements of Tier-4(G).

On 30/01/2011 after assessing my educational documents and previous attachments I been suggested by MS Sadia Hussain to do an English exam and she put me Pearson test held by Lsbf college on 08/02/2012. Unfortunately, I could not achieve the required level of English test. On 9/02/2012 I been suggested to repeat the test again I tried to explain her that the next English test result will be declared after expiry of my visa. Ms Sitora suggested to me they will assess my degree from Kingston university to check whether I meet the requirements of English language skills. After assessment, they rejected me. I met visa advisory officer at Lsbf Mr. Ivan who then advised that my visa is running out and they can't issue me CAS.
I went back to Sadia and asked her why did you waste my time and give me refund the fees as I do not wish to proceed with the admission.
On 21/02/2012 she gave me a link to process refund. On 29/02/2012 I recieved reply from Mr. Nayaz purdan and I mentioned him that I need my refund to pay my tuition fee in university and 20/03/2012 he replied that your case is under consideration of the refund committee. On 18/4/2012 I recieved reply from Ms Selda Yurdakul " the committee has reviewed your refund application. In the instance where a deposit amount was made, as per the term and conditions deposit are deemed non-refundable. Your refund application was made on 21/02/2012 and your course commencement date was 30/01/2012. As your refund application was made less than 15 days before the course start date.
I went to see Ms Selda her behaviour was unprofessional and she asked me to Get out we don't have any money.
It took me two weeks before I was able to get through to a member of stuff in refund department when I explain every thing he advised me to get £3000 and go home otherwise we won't give you any penny back.
I wanted to take legal action my solicitors sent them letters but no reply.
On this point I m making an appeal to you to help me to get my money back.
Remedies:
I demand that the full fees is refunded together with the interest accrued at all times since the 30 February 2012 where the refund was officially addressed. I would kindly remind you if i do not receive the aforementioned refund within 14 days of our letter, i would redress through the County Court.

I look forward to hear from you soon.

London School Of Business & Finance [LSBF] Refund

I took Full-time ACCA course of 9 subjects. Got very sick and provided all the documentation. They said i should wait 45 working days for the reply. After 45 w.d. I have started writing them myself saying that the time had run out so they answered that they will give me only half of my money back. I agreed, and provided all the cheques and bank details exactly as they have told me. So they told me to wait another 45 working days for a refund to be transfered to my bank account. On the 17 of July 2012 it has been 45 working days and now they dont answer my emails anymore. I decided to write to ACCA tomorrow like a proper complaint letter and then to British Accreditation Association. I am pretty sure it will work but if not go to court. Seriously i just dont understand whether it really worth for them loosing students for some 2, 000 GBP. Lots of my friends wanted to go to LSBF but obviously changed their minds after what i have told them.

My ticket id 10664. I have lost 3364$ for lSBF. It has been 6 years now no response at all. They did not give my money back. I have read LSBF team contacted all students who did write comment on this site. They did not contact me. They do not refund deposit money when you get visa declined. I want to say everybody do not apply for this school, you will lose your money. Do not apply for LSBF.

I am writing from mongolia. I have applied for LSBF and got visa refusal on october 2012. I have paid deposit before getting visa refusal 3364$. After that i have applied for refund as it is said on the privacy policy option, i have sent all my necessary documents on time, but every time when i send email or write letter on my online refund account nobody responds me. It seems to me like nobody is working there or they are just ignoring me. today is october 2013. Still i did not receive any respond what is happening with my refund, nobody answers me. I have applied LSBF in canada. But they said the refund department works from london. And i have to wait response from London. Either way from london or Canada there is no response.

My ticket ID is 10664. I don't know if the refund is declined or approved i am so confused i would never ever recommend this school to my friend or anybody else.

Hello, I have been calling LSBF everyday to check the status of my refund application. For the past month I have never once received the 'promised' callback. I am currently over-running my visa in order to stay and get my refund before leaving. I have explained this in several emails to the refund c'ttee and have never once received a response past confirmation of receipt of my application. What is happening?
