The FTC just ruled unanimously against Learningrx, a company operating with various offices in Northern Virginia and North Potomac, that has deceived hundreds of parents out of millions of dollars. Learningrx is finally going to implode after years of defrauding desperate parents seeking help for their children with special needs. It has done this by assuming parents are ignorant and desperate, which has allowed them to profit from your concern and love for your child. They will appeal to you emotionally by prying on your guilt for not investing on their services which make absurd claims that are not only unsubstantiated by science but also violate science. They will do anything to profit from your pain and fears about your child's learning difficulties. After moving to Northern Virginia from San Francisco we made the mistake of visiting the Learningrx center in Reston, VA to help our daughter with dyslexia. They literally tried to make us feel like bad parents for not "curing" our daughter's dyslexia (which is not curable) through their "proprietary reading program". We later learned that their program is a hoax and copied from an outdated program (Reading Reflex) that is not meant to be used for dyslexia. Not surprisingly, because I work at the FTC, I just came across a recent ruling everyone should read to avoid their services:
