Payment sense provide card processing services to small business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY although there merchant account has no lease agreement and they claim low fees they set you up with First data Merchant Solutions to provide the card processing machine. I own a small business and I was mis-sold a 5 year lease for the machine at 19.99 per month no get out and also a yearly maintenance fee of £80 per terminal. Also if you want to cancel they charge you the outstanding rentals or go to court to claim it back. When you finally reach lease date they charge a £200 restocking fee to cancel. These people should be regulated disgusting service and miss selling as no contract no fee etc check check and check again if using this company. With modern tech there are alternatives for small businesses like square payments and paypal for card processing there fees may be higher but with the lease maintenance charges and cancellation fees it works out around the same with no long lease which is the same as a loan for the machine. Also the money is not transferred into your business account for more that 7 days after a card payment. This company should be put out of business and not allowed to trade and rip off small businesses beware.

I have spoke to your customer service on numerous occasions and your stance remains the same that the lease be paid. All outstanding payments plus your restocking fee my lease expires nov 2016 is this still the case or will you allow me to leave the lease early?. I would like this question answered online rather than taking this offline for the benefit of other customers

I feel the pain of each and everyone of you as they have misled me with the famous 5 year contract they didn’t mention. I have started a Facebook group and Twitter page called My Experience of Paymentsense. Please share your experiences there. If we act together we will have a better chance of dealing with them.

I have just given 30 days notice on my paymentsense account. Despite having an email from themselves when I first took out the contract stating that I could cancel after 18 months with no charges and giving 30 days notice, I have been told that they aren't interested in the email and that I signed the contract. I asked for the email as I wanted confirmation that I could get out of the contract. They are charging me a £372.00 restocking fee. I am really annoyed as they pull you in promise no additional fees (there are 3 bills - rental of machine, pci compliance and each transaction). To use a sumup machine would cost me £300 a year. I am currently paying over £100 a month with fees (this has shot up from around 50-60 pounds). Even paying the reestocking fee I will be better off not being with them. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY. There needs to be regulation of this company as they appear to do what they want. If I could give a minus 5 stars I would.

I was miss sold told by rep that I could walk away after 3years with nothing to pay. I made it clear to him from the start that the business was closing in 3years when the lease was up and I was assured that was not a problem now I have been slaped with a £190 + vat restocking fee. feeling ripped off and conned dont trust a word they say.

Disgusting company, they shouldnt be getting away with ripping small businesses and sole traders off, its terrible. I was cold called by a sales man who after lots of chats and emails sold me one of these machines. Again i was completely and utterly lied too. Told me it was free for the first 5 months, didnt explain that that they do actually take all theses fees out of your account without your knowledge but apparently refund you after 3 months?. There also was lots of other random fees coming out which i was not made aware of. Also i was not told it was for 5 years! This is complete mis selling. The said sales person now he has ripped me off and probably got his commision will not answer any of my calls or emails. I have spoken to customer services but they said this is what you signed up for and it isnt a verbal agreement its all in writing, but they are missing the point this is what the salesman told me, HE LIED. I never would have signed anything online otherwise. I haven't even used the machine yet. Its a massive pack of lies to get you to sign and then they charge you an absolute fortune to cancel, so you are completely stuck. i'm really struggling at the moment, i'm a self employed tradesperson, i'm so shocked they can do this to people. Ive no way of getting any of my money back that technically they have stolen from me.

I also was told over the phone that I was entering into a 18 month contract only to find out later that it was for 5 years. The introduction of the £3.99 per month fee paid upfront for 12 months is appalling, have been charged this in September 15 and again this month, trying to resolve with Payment Sense direct but they are asking for bank statements as proof even though payment was made by FDMS by direct debit

Hi

I have also been mis-sold by one of there agents, I was promised a 18 months contract, which ended up being a 5 year contract!

now to avoid the fee's I have tried to transfer the contract on to the new owner who is happy to take over but guess what! I STILL HAVE TO PAY THE RESTOCKING FEE AND EARLY TERMINATION FEE!

This company should not be allowed to do business!

I recently signed up with payment sense and quickly realised(within 5 days) that I had been mis-sold. I contacted payment sense and here is my reply:
This has been investigated and the account is in the Limted company name XXXXXXXXXX Ltd. If you would like to cancel your account the company would be liable for the termination fee which the remaining 60 months of the lease at £15.00+VAT and the restocking fee of £190.00+VAT.

I have attached the FDGL hire agreement and FDMS application. This account is in the company name of Thistle Locks and Alarms Ltd and will be liable for the termination fee unless the company is struck off companies house.

If you would still like to cancel your account please reply to this email. If there is no reply with in 3 working days this case will be closed.

Kind Regards

I was told a pack of lies from a salesman that is no longer with them and tried to cancel, but as above the want to screw me to the ground for outstanding payments and a restocking fee to return a terminal that was with us for 4 days. Our company name does have limited at the end but we are a sole trader no vat registered. Does anyone know how to deal with this situation...

I also was sold by a salesman who visited me. Our other company had a machine agreed an 18 month contract, so I said I would have the same contract which he agreed. I signed up etc. then when the contract came to me it was for 5 years ! so now I am stuck, want out but cannot. Signed up with another company who is cheap enough to cover the costs of paymentsense and I still win.

I feel exactly the same, the salesmen who sold me my contract made no mention of early termination fees when I specifically asked him about minimum contract, to which he replied was 18 months, there is no way I would have continued the conversation with him if he had told me about early termination fees and in my case a £190 + VAT restocking charge (as I have a mobile device I guess)
They are a despicable company and I wish I had stayed with CARD SAVE which have no such terms and as far as I am aware are a British company and also part owned by their members.
I AGREE THERE OUGHT TO BE MORE REGULATION OF THESE COWBOYS!

I was also mis sold a contract by a salesman from Payment Sense, he told me a pack of lies some of which were resolved by Customer Services, who I must admit were excellent
The buggest lie he told me was that the cancellation fee wouldn't apply when I closed my business, I now have no need for the machine but am faced with a huge fee to cancel.
This salesman no longer works for the company but I feel they should take some responsibility for unscrupulous people they employ who prey on busy people struggling to make a small business work.

The PaymentSense FDMS contract is quite explicit as to the term, the early exit fees and the re-stocking fee so difficult to understand your outrage. You might not like it nut it's there in black and white when you sign.

One thing you could have a go at them about is their "capped fees" claim - it's not watertight with "get outs" for increases passed to them and it doesn't stop them introducing new fees, like your terminal maintenance fee which they introduced last year. So they might not increase your current fee rates but will introduce new fee categories.

As for PayPal/square being cheaper, this is absolutely not true for any business doing more than £15k a year on cards. The rates are 2 - 3 times higher so much more expensive even after taking rental fees, etc into account. Anyone thinking about these sorts of devices needs to do the simple maths.

Myself plus a few thousand others worked for Paymentsense for a while then left.
In training we were directed to hash over restocking fees.
We were conditioned not to mention it because people would not sign contracts should this be known.
Paymentsense have a smug department that reveals this for the first time to a merchant when he wants to leave. They do this knowing that this would be the first time that the victim would know about it.
This gives Paymentsense licence to command a new contract, or rob small business enterprises of a lot of money. They are a shameless bunch of crooks. I am fed up of this filth...I will pass evidence on to the Financial Conduct Authority.

Benton Fraser is a fictional TV character.
Just like everything else that goes on around the Paymentsense scam...the name is bogus.
