DON'T USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! BEWARE!
Three men were sent out to move our furniture. When they got to our home, the lead guy (Roger) went over the contract with us...i.e. what the company covers and not covers. Pretty much, over the phone the rate that was quoted to us did not include all the additional out of pocket expenses we needed to pay i.e. blankets, shrink wraps, moving furniture with mirrors, fuel, etc. These were not disclosed until the day of the move...so we were pretty much stuck and did not have a choice.
At the end of the day, they said if we give them a good tip ($125 pp > total for 3 men = $375 approx. 35%) they will waive most of the additional charges. We were caught off guard and we had no choice. The 3 men seem nice and polite in the beginning ...but they fooled us because after the move as we unpacked and organized our things, in dismay we had discovered things missing inside the drawers of the furniture they have moved. They have stolen a couple of cameras and several of my jewelries. In addition at random they have also taken a huge bottle of imported Vodka, other bottle of liquors and an expensive wrench set.
We felt so violated. I called the office to complain and of course the lady who claimed she was the manager refused to have me talk to the owner ELI. She of course denied and defended the 3 men and said that their company is not liable for any losses or damages incurred during the move. I told her that we will be filling a police report and a criminal case against the company and that an investigation will occur.
Lesson learned...you get what you pay for...and don't be too trusting regardless how nice these people seem to be because they can be so pretentious. Total theft amounted to almost $8000 or more ...surely we will discover other things they have stolen in due time. So again, DO NOT HIRE THESE OVERS...they are THIEVES and are NOT BONDED! We will be posting our awful experience to everyone we know i.e. Facebook, Twitter, complaintsboard.com, Consumer Complaints, BBB Complaints and Scam Complaints…etc to save others from this nightmare!
BTW don't believe the 5 star comments this company is posting. If you read all their reviews, the customers said that they are being asked to write a good review in lieu of $$ payoffs or releasing their property.
This place is a SCAM! I can't believe I have to give one star. They deserve to be shut down! I found this out with the 200 other poor reviews of this "so-called" company (and that is only on this site.) There are hundreds of bad reviews and pending lawsuits! They showed up on time to move my 1 bedroom apt and that was about the only good part of the experience. They walked in and immediately told me I have too much stuff, and that I live too well for a one-bedroom because it was nicer pieces. WTF!?! Then upped the price $2500.00 from the moving broker (Value Added Moving) and needed to be paid in CASH or Zelle so it is not traceable or refundable! Elyal Segal knows EXACTLY what he is doing and delights in it. They didn't fill the full amount of cubic square footage I paid for, and I had to scramble to find a storage unit and a truck for the remaining items. Then had the nerve to tell me to tip his guys for not doing the job! Elyal is supposedly the owner and speaks to his customers as if they are trash. He doesn't own any of the trucks and contracts out with one-off truckers. Cheetah Movers/ White Gold Moving & Storage is a joke! Since they don't own any trucks, they make their bad business practices your problem by holding your items hostage in their storage warehouse. They are a moving company that doesn't care about actually moving you. Elyal repeatedly screamed at me any time I asked for a status. He told me that I am too emotional about things. Well, if you were sleeping on the floor for a month while this company that you paid thousands of dollars to tried to figure out how to run their business you might be a bit emotional. This company preys on women and elderly. Truthful after looking at the other reviews this is just who he is a person. Elyal is an evil human being that only cares about ripping you off, and yet will give you every excuse about why you need to be patient, while he takes your money. I spoke with the driver of the moving truck when they delivered over a month later and many of the boxes looked as if they were thrown from the roof of a building. Most of my kitchen stuff was broken and they could care less. For 3 days prior to delivery, they lied and delayed, while I lost thousands of dollars as a business owner trying to work around their "delivery" schedule. This company is not worth the stress, and abusive business practices. How they still in business you may ask? They count on you not having the time to read the contract while they steal all (or at least half) of your stuff then use extortion tactics to get it back. The contract is as crooked as they are and Elyal will lie about EVERYTHING! Disgusting humans, con-artists, and you hold no value to them! I hope this stops at least one person from using them and experiencing what I have survived from this ridiculous business.
WORST MOVE EVER. LOST, BROKEN ITEMS. NO RESPONSE FROM COMPANY, EVEN AFTER I SENT THEM PICTURES AND FULL DETAILS OF MOVE. I WAS EVEN ASKED TO MEET TRUCK TO PICK UP SOME OF OUR MISSING ITEMS, ONLY TO FIND THEM DAMAGED, OR STILL MISSING. THE ITEMS THAT ARRIVED WERE MISSING NUTS AND BOLTS, THUS ITEM WAS NO LONGER OF VALUE. NO RESPONSE, EVER FROM CO OR GOLD MOVING CO. BIG RIP OFF. THEY HAVE FAKE STARS . CHECK THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. MY MISTAKE FOR NOT DOING SO.. ALL WE ARE ASKING FOR IS SOME COMPENSATION FOR ALL THE MISSING ITEMS OR DAMAGED. BOXES WERE SMASHED FORM BEING PUT ON SEVERAL TRUCKS. A VERY EASY MOVE FROM WASHINGTON STATE TO CALIF...OVER PRICED BUT MOST IMPORTANT A BIG RIP OFF. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL HELP OTHERS. NO ONE FROM EITHER CO WILL RESPONG SINCE MAY...DO NOT USE THEM
