Billing me for $12.95 a month without approval

I have been getting billed $12.95 a month for a service I did not agree to nor receive. When calling American Express they said to call the number on the bill to cancel it. When I called the number I was put on hold forever and could not get a human.

I checked my credit once and it was suppose to be a one time charge only. Theres at least 8 unauthorized charges in my checking account.

Ive been having problems with the $12.95 charges also. I didn't know where it was coming from at first but after looking it up online i found this message board. If anyone has any ideas on how to stop it - let me know.

I answered their ad ONCE and paid for the report which was less than satisfactory. Since then I have been charged $12.95 per month without any authorization on my part. How can I stop this fraud?

If you have signed up for a "free" credit report from FreeCreditReport.com the "free" credit report is a trial subscription. You have to call 1-877-481-6825 to cancel your subscription. If you hit "zero" enough times, an operator will assist you and you have to verbally cancel the subscription. It is a scam.

Yes I am the victim of this fraud companies too.. to stop the charges just cancel your card and apply for a new one other wise you would be in problem..

There is a number that you can call. I probably will call my credit card company and cancel my card and get a new one, if they dont give me my money back. The number to call is 1-877-481-6825.

I was getting charged twice a month by CIC after signing up at freecreditreport.com for a "free" copy of my credit report. After two years of twice-monthly fees, we cancelled our debit card and ordered a new one. Now CIC no longer has access to our account and the fees have stopped. If you want to stop the automatic monthly charges, cancel the credit card you used to sign up unknowingly for and order a new card with a new number. Don't bother calling your credit card company to complain and especially don't call CIC or freecreditreport.com. Hope this helps everyone. It worked for us and we have been CIC charge-free for 3 months now...finally...a way to get rid of those fraudulant charges.
