My aunt received a collections notice from Afni Collections and asked me to call about it. The phone number that was on the collections notice was her number that she has closed over a year ago. When she got her final bill from ATT (not Verizon according to the Afni collections letter) , she had a credit balance and received a check back from them. I called Afni and after waiting over 20 minutes for someone to answer, I got the rudest person. I can't believe there are people actually out there that would work for a bogus company like Afni and try to collect money that isn't even owed. They really should be ashamed. By the way, they said the money was owed from 1999. Excuse me... 1999???? How long ago was that and what company would still be trying to collect a debt from 1999? That immediately told me that was so fake.
