BUYER BEWARE! This website www.5starbulldogs@gmail.com is BROOK ROQUE! He USED to be www.matrixbulldogs.com! Do your research and see all the complaints on this guy! I bought a puppy from him about 3 months ago and have spent thousands in vet bills! I have also recently found out all he does is import puppies! All his puppies are sick and WILL have health issues. The parents arent really the parents! Make sure you have a DNA test done after you get the AKC paperwork that "states" who the parents are. He is now changing his name because he has had so many complaints on www.matrixbulldogs.com. I have tried to contact him several times about my puppy and all the money that I have spent out of MY pocket! He just gives me the run around! Please do your research!
BUYER BEWARE!

Let's see Brook Roque has had,
www.Matrixbulldogs.com
www.5starbulldogs.com
www.myenglishbulldogpuppies.net
thats now three!
It doesnt matter how many websites he has it is only a matter of time before people start to catch on to him. If he is not selling sick puppies or doing anything wrong, then why does he keep changing everything? Not to mention he goes by or has so many different people selling his dogs for him!
I was on hoobly the other day and there was an ad placed in Daytona Beach from a girl named Rachel. Thats him! Dont be fooled. He also sales on craigslist as well. I have seen Brook, Kassie, Marisa, Rachel, and Michelle so far. Who knows who else he can come up with. This guy is sad. When you have to chnage your name over and over again, your phone number, or even have god knows how many people trying to sell for you because you yourself can't do it...thats all the proof someone should need.

THESE PEOPLE ARE FLAT-OUT CROOKS. DO NOT TRUST THEM. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS.

My wife attempted to purchased a puppy from 5 Star Bulldogs against my protest and warning. I did my due diligence and told her not to purchase the puppy. I showed her the case against them in the Florida courts. She fell in love with the picture and was attracted to the unreasonably low price. Against my wishes, she paid for the puppy via PayPal.

1) The price of $400.00 for air shipment from Georgia to New Jersey, including delivery to my home at no extra charge, was laughable. No one could profit from such a sale. French Bulldogs sell for up to $4000.00. $400.00 is ridiculous.
2) The Seller wanted payment via Western Union, I told my wife that sounded suspicious. They changed it to PayPal but insisted that she pay as 'Friends and Family". Why? Because that is considered a trusted partner and is not eligible for dispute, as any business transaction would be.
3) Within a half hour of my wife maklng the payment, she received an email from a fictitious government agency entitled "The National Pet Insurance Department", that stated that the puppy was now in 'Quarantine' and that an additional payment of $800.00 (refundable upon delivery-you can bet on that!) was required to get a release. Otherwise, the puppy would be held for months, at the Buyers"s expense.
4) The Buyer called my wife's cell phone looking for the money. He couldn't even pronounce her name or speak properly. When he got me instead, he basically had nothing to say and hung up on me.

I called PayPal and my bank's Fraud Division and have filed a claim against them. Don't be seduced by the advertising. These people are out to rob you. My wife was desperate to get a puppy for our daughter, who is having some problems. Her eagerness caused her to make a a bad decision. Don't make the same mistake.

If you fall for the 5 Star Bulldog B.S., shame on you. You have been warned.

I called AKC. I had to fax them all the info I had. I ended up sending them like 6 pages of stuff. The bill of sale, the way expired health certificate I got when I bought him, and pages of text messages that we have to back up everything that I have claimed. Nothing I have said is false. I only want my papers or my money back. AKC said sometimes that they will just send the papers straight to me instead of trying to deal with the breeder. It is just on a case to case basis. They said that their investigation would take about two weeks but they would be contacting me back.

They can get there ability to sell AKC puppies yanked for doing this, contact the AKC and give them this information. They will do an investigation on them and if what you said is true they will have to pay fines and you will be reimbursed for your troubles.

I am still trying to get my papers for a dog we purchased from Brook and his "girlfriend". They are ignoring our phone calls and text messages. He even told us he gave the papers for our dog to someone who paid more for a dog the next day. We had a price set for an AKC bulldog and when we got there we were told it would be more money for the papers. So we agreed to it and said we would be back at 10 am the next morning since we were on the way to pick up our other dog from the vet from getting her teeth cleaned. The next day they were delivering the puppy that got OUR papers! We were told it would be the day after that. We texted, the "girlfriend's" grandma was in the hospital and nobody was at home to give us our papers. So Brook called us and said it would be at the latest Wednesday (this was on a Sunday). Because he had to get the papers from AKC. Now over two weeks later they are ignoring our phone calls and texts and we are going to take them to small claims court. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY FROM HIM!

The smell of bleach is to prevent Parvo. Parvo happens, not the happest moment for anyone. But when you buy a dog, there is a health guarantee. If you want a health guarantee, then buy from someone that offers one. Most breeders do not guarantee anything after 3 days of the puppy leaving the breeder, this sucks yes. If you want a puppy or dog that will never get sick or cost you money there isn't one. Bulldogs are prone to many illnesses, reperatory infections giardia, worms, mites, and parvo are all common in puppies in general. And to say you spend thousands on a vet, I would be mad at the vet for charging so much, maybe you need to find a different vet.

How many e-mail names does Brook have? For those of you who received a healthy puppy from Matrix, you were lucky. There are so many people who were sold sick dogs. When you go to a breeder and his whole facility smells of bleach, there is a problem. It is called Parvo. I rescued one of those puppies with Parvo. The vet bill was over $2000. If there wasn't a problem with Brook and Matrix Bulldogs, why did their website disappear? For all you defenders of Brook, use your head. In addition, Matrix Bulldogs was illegally using the AKC logo on their web page to entice buyers. Hopefully justice will be served and this "breeder" will be shut down.

These posts are totalty absurd, even borderline crazy. puppies are expensive, when you get a health certificate it means that up to that day there were no problems with that dog. Puppy lover 34, Did you do YOUR research before you bought the dog ? did YOU know that they have sensitive digestive tracks and that you need to make sure you keep their faces clean to help prevent eye infections ? or did you just think, oh look at this cute puppy i want it. and then not do what you should do to take care of it. Also i have noticed on here that no one has put a vet name, the exact problem with said dogs or when they purchased the pup. Show some proof if your going to bash someone on here and ruin their reputation. Put up pictures, attach vet bills, or at least tell what vet you took the puppy too. and then arises the question, if you had a puppy that you loved so much why would you wait so long to take it to the vet ? that's like not taking your kid to the doctor till its so sick you have to take it to the e.r. Most of the negativity on here that i am reading is straight up stupidity. Reguardless of you few Aholes that are trying to ruin his business, there are hundreds of satisfied costumers like me that would with out a doubt go to bat for him. Grow up, take care of your dog.

i bought a puppy, then i bought another puppy because i was so happy with my first one. seems as if a few people on here are just trying to taint his name. i agree with bully pup, at least give the names of the dogs and the vet where you got it treated. If its a personnal issue, post on here that he is a jerk. But to try and steal his livelyhood, that's just wrong, not to mention illegal, its caled slander.

I am so sick of people getting on here bashing them and knowing nothing! They have happy healthy puppies and always put these puppies first. For the people saying they can never get in contact with anyone is complete bull! I have kept in touch with them since I bought my bully. He has came to my house to delievering medication for a simple cold! They have always been the kindest people out there. There is always two sides to every story!

I too have bought an English Bulldog puppy from Mr. Roque. I am very pleased with my purchase and have had NO problems whatsoever. My puppy is GREAT! As I am reading your review, it doesn't sound like we bought puppies from the same guy, the way you are describing him. Were you able to pick up your puppy personally or did you have it delivered to you? I am confused about your review when you say that you bought a puppy four months ago and have outstanding vet bills and that you would not refer 5starbulldogs.com to anyone. However, your friend purchased a puppy from the same Mr. Roque two months ago... If I purchased a puppy and it were sooo sick that I had outstanding vet bills, I would NEVER refer my friends or even people I know to the same breeder. In which, this is not my case at all. My puppy is FANTASTIC and I could not say anything bad about Mr. Roque or his puppies.

Yes! Matrix Bulldogs is now 5 Star Bulldogs! Please do your research before you buy from these people. They are importing puppies and the parents are not who they say they are! I bought a puppy about 4 months ago and I am still paying off vet bills due to congenital problems! Brook never answers his phone or returns my phone calls. I would NOT recommend www.5starbulldogs to anyone! Im sure without a doubt the paperwork from the AKC is most likely illegal anyways somehow! I have a friend that purchased a puppy from them about 2 months ago and they showed her the "MOM" to the puppies. When she showed me the picture it was the SAME "MOM" that they told me my puppy was from! PLEASE do your research before you purchase any puppy! BUYER BEWARE!
