Signed up for service I never received and did not want or need!

CIC is billing me monthly for a service I do not use, do not need and can't seem to stop. I will call them, write them, report them to the BBB and to the attorney general. Shame on CIC!

I cancel my membership with cic triple advantage and they are still taking 12.95 out of my checking account I called they said i did not cancel on time which is a out right lie i have proof i demanding my money back they said they would give it to me I will check the beginning of the month to see if they put it back in my checking account!!!

I have been receiving this charge for several months too. I just called the number on my bank statement and reached a girl named Katie. She says that she will refund me $36.00 for the 3 months that I have been charged. She said that I can check my bank within 24 hours and it will be there. She also said she cancelled my membership. I questioned the $36.00 because I think I have been charged longer, but she said that I "signed up" on 3/21/07. I will be checking on this to make sure. I don't remember signing up, but I may have gone on a free yearly credit report web sight which generated this. In any case, I will keep you posted as to whether or not they make good on their refund cancellation. Also, isn't funny that they call it "Triple Advantage" when they only show you theirs, Experian? If not, I will be writing to every representative I know too!

Call 1-877-481-6825... They charged me for 2 months of service didn't use nor signed up for... And they refunded me back my $25.90... They said that It would take 7-10 business day to show back up in my account... If they Customer Service Rep.

I am also victim of this bogus system. I was charge for two months of $12.95. I am about to call them tomorrow and ask for a refund and cancel my membership. I was also led to believe that its a free credit report. Its a false advertising! They need to clear this up to the public that this is not really free!

My husband is getting ripped off too. I tried to call the number that they posted on their website but all I got was that the number couldn't be reached from where I was located at. I'm located on Guam. I'm trying to cancel this service which I understand that my husband didn't know about. Talk about shameful acts by this company.

HOW TO STOP THEM ! ! !

Very simply... report your card LOST (not stolen), your bank or creditor will issue you a new one with a DIFFERENT number. That will STOP CIC DEAD IN IT'S TRACKS !

I was able to talk to a real person about 2 $12.00 charges on my credit card this past month (May '07).

The number I called was 1-877-481-6825

With my first call, I tried to cancel the service by taking the "1" option.

That got me disconnected.

I called again and took options that got me to a real person and demanded my membership terminated and all charges refunded.

The CSR said my monies would be refunded in 7 - 10 days.

I told the CSR that if my money wasn't refunded I was going to report them to my state's Attorney General Office.

Let's see what happens.

Same exact thing happened to me. This place is a joke! They are very sneaky. I called today to cancel and hopefully that will work. Something should be done about this place. It is very clear that their business practices are less than honest.

I have no idea how they got my information. I noticed this yesterday and today I found another transaction from last month! I don't know how I missed this but I WILL fix it. I must have thought it was a transaction I made and skimmed over it. I don't know who this entity is but I am not happy and I will file a complaint to whoever will do something about it.

The same thing is happening to me. I never signed up for anything and my bank is charging me $25.00 each time I reverse these charges. Its crazy... I have called numerous times to get it stopped and it just keeps coming out of my account...

They charged my account 12.95 twice in one day they said it was free. Now i have to go through so much stuff to get it taken off and get my account back in order because it overdrafted it. These people need to be punished for what they are doing to all these people.

Just decided to look at my checking account, which actively show all my current credit cards, and I notice a $9.65 charge on a credit card I have not used in over 6 MONTHS!!! from EPI
800-450-3414, CA 000094301, and today being July 4th of all days to notice this... I'll have a whole day worth of brooding before I tear those CIC Triple Advantage a new ***hole.

I have the same problem for last few months. I don't even remember signing up for any service with CIC Triple Advantage. I came to know about CIC when I saw the charges on my monthly statement!

I got charged and it took me two times to cancel it (I called before the 30 days were up and after). I also got charged, but call your bank or credit card holder (number on the back of the card) and tell them that you did not authorize them for the service and they may give you a refund back. FreeCreditReport.com / CIC Triple Advantage and some other phony companies out there keep your credit card/debit card information stored in databases (in your profile). So cancel the card and get a new one, I had to do it and it worked! Still waiting for my $12.00 refund though hah.
