Signed up for service I never received and did not want or need!

CIC is billing me monthly for a service I do not use, do not need and can't seem to stop. I will call them, write them, report them to the BBB and to the attorney general. Shame on CIC!

I totally agree that CIC is a scam. I sent an email with a receipt to their customer service, then called them at 877-481-6826. I was on hold for 15 minutes, but finally got a person... clearly stalling is a tactic. Then the rep tried to talk me out of cancelling, and put me on hold multiple times, probably expecting me to hang up. They did cancel and I refused to hang up without a confirmation code and the rep's name. I am also filing a dispute with Amex, just so that I won't get charged again.

What a scam. I called to get information on the company and i was outsourced to India. Then they refused to give a corporate address. I beg of the BB Bureau to do something about this. Guess this is what makes America great???

The same thing happened to me. I just called and cancelled my membership that I never signed up for and these people had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to continue the service. I told them that I never signed up for the CIC triple advantage and that I have been billed $12.00 every month. The lady told me that they offered me a free trial for 30 days and since I never cancelled they started billing me. I was outraged because no one told me about the free trial or if I don’t cancel they will bill me. I heard about the freecreditreport.com and it only said that it costs a $1.00 so I decided to do it. I never thought I would get into this mess. I mean $12.00 is not a lot of money but still I worked hard for that money and they just took it away like it was nothing. Something must be done about this. If they continue billing me I will have to call my credit card and tell them to send me a new one. I wish I could receive my money back but they won’t return it to me.

I have had the exact same problem. I called and tried to have them cancel it in December and I just realized today that they hadn't (it is now MARCH!) I just called again and told them that I wanted it cancelled today and a refund of my money since I had wanted it cancelled 3 months ago!

Recently notice these charges and I don't know where this company came from. I don't recall checking any box on that web page. My charges for $12.95 were suppose to STOP and they didn't. Called again and they said it takes a month for it to process, which I was charged again. Called again and got them to refund my money, but we'll see. I told them there's a lot of complaints about there company and he said, "But it doesn't say how many customers are satisfied" Called my credit card company and they will dispute these charges. What a pain in the ASS!!

Who are these people? I never signed up for anything! I got my free credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com and the next thing I know, this CIC Triple advantage starts showing up on my account deducting $12.99 from me every month! I told my bank they are not authorized, and they still do it! I never signed up for it, I contakted all the credit agencys I got a report from and they say I am not in their system, so what is the deal?

They have promised that they will reimburse me the two charges of $12.95. They were charging an account that was not even active anymore, and I was not aware of it until the bank contacted me. I had numerous overdraft charges on the account because of CIC Triple Advantage. My bank was investigating the situation but said that CIC triple Advantage did not want to be involved. Bottom Line, You have to contact them yourself.

To all of those who call make sure you get the persons name and confirmation number just in case. I dont trust these people.

I do not recall signing up for CIC Triple Advantage service. I have never received any service from this company. I just noticed they are charging me $12.00 each month for a service I have never received. I think I should be give a full refund.

I found the same charge on my card. Unfortunately it is on my debit card and not a credit card. I could not for the life of me remember signing up for this service. I type in CIC in google and found this website. And I dont feel so alone that I feel like I am the only being scammed and being robbed.

I called the company at 1 888 888 8553 and was able to speak with customer service representative.

I informed her that there is a charge that appeared on my bank statement of a service I was led to believe was free and that I do not want to be charged because I don't need a credit report anymore.

She informed me that after the 30 day trial the charges incur. I informed her that with most 30 day trials for ANYTHING there is usually a notification email that the consumer receives giving them a choice to continue or discontinue service.

I was ADAMANT about getting the charge removed as well as canceling this stupid membership bullshit.

She asked for my Social Security Number, Debit Card Number and Mother's Maiden Name.

I told her that they have already scammed me once, I am not giving her my entire social security number, Debit card number along with my mother's maiden name. I told her to look me up using first and last name and Date of birth. She said that alot of results came up. That was bullshit. So she asked me for the last 4 of my social which i reluctantly gave to her.

She said that she would go ahead and cancel the membership and have the amount of 12.95 refunded to my account within 7-10 business days.

I asked her for a confirmation or reference number for the transaction and she said she couldn't provide me with one which again i think is bullshit. But she did give me her first name and corporate ID number which might not even help in the future.

I informed her too that while 12.95 doesnt seem like a big amount. but when they scam thousands of hundreds of people, it all adds up and that is unfair business practice.

We shall see when the charge is reversed and i shall post an update.

I have been charged for the last 10 months for the same supposed membership of which I did not sign up for neither did I have a clue about the company. I have called several times and was sent to another number, told they didn't have an account for me and was hung up on. Some how they were able to access my checking account but did not have a billing address for me. This is scary stuff. I did finally speak to someone and they claimed this was going to be stopped with a 2 months refund within 7 to 10 days. I guess I will find out then. Call this #888-888-8553 and select option #3.

I found this information. I too have been charged every month when I thought I was getting a free credit report. But through the following phone number I was able to cancel I hope this helps someone else.
