Signed up for service I never received and did not want or need!

CIC is billing me monthly for a service I do not use, do not need and can't seem to stop. I will call them, write them, report them to the BBB and to the attorney general. Shame on CIC!

I just called and got mine cancelled. It wasn't difficult to get anybody. I called the 1-877-481-6825. However, they will run you with a million offers to stay with them, but you just let them no in a nice stern voice that NO YOU DO NOT WANT THEIR SERVICES and eventually they will cancel your membership.

Oh, and if you say it's because you didn't realize you had signed up for a monthly charge, they'll say they have never heard of that before and act really surprised

I called 877-481-6825 to dispute the charge on my credit card. I never signed up for this service. The first person I spoke with gave me a 1/2 run-around. He told me to fax and mail to this company "Consumerinfo/CRG, PO Box 19729, Irvine, Ca 92623-9729. Fax No: 949-567-3858. He also wanted my ssn. but didn't give it to him. After I hung up with this guy, I decided to try again. I called the same number and got somebody else who was very helpful. He did ask for my credit card number and I gave it to him (didn't want to, but figured they had it anyway). Come to find out, my husband signed up for this "free service" several months ago and he didn't tell me. But, he didn't realize we would be getting charged for this report. I told the gentleman on the phone to please cancel this service and he did it with no questions asked....he also said I would see a refund on my next statement. Not sure if I will see the refund. I will keep my eyes open on my next statement and any future statements. In fact, as soon as I pay off my credit card, I am going to close it so I don't have to deal with this again. I'm beginning to wonder if I should cut up all credit cards and start writing checks again...Good Luck everybody, I hope this email helps you out.

Just received an email from "freecreditreport.com". They said they are sorry to see me go and that there will be no further charges applied to my credit card. I'll have to wait for my next statement to believe it. Don't back down on this company. Keep after them until you get answers. It looks like I got mine taken care of in one day (I hope). Best of luck to all of you.

I am on this site to complain about CIC Credit Report charges.

The irony is this:

As I read the negative comments from everyone who wrote in here, I can't believe what I see at the top of this web page. There are currently TWO ADVERTISEMENTS on this page, PROMOTING CIC Credit Report. How ridiculous is that?

These people are crooks I called them up to cancel and got some latino guy on the phone doing everything possible for me not to cancel then he told me to go on the website and activate it and then call them back. I did not take that for an answer I finally got loud and he cancelled it.I had to tell this guy to speak up a dozen times and I could not understand him. Why put those kind of people of the phone? I called up Citi bank 5 minutes later and they are in the process of disputing it. They told me not to pay the $12 and they will send me a letter that I have to verify or something. They they tried to tell me to sign up for something that was free for the first month I said no way I not going to get banged from you guys like I did them. Citi is crediting my account. This better not be an ongoing thing. I want these fools on Channel 4 news.

This place is a huge scam. For months our bank account has had around $30 each month taken out without our consent. This place needs to be shut down immediately! I just want my money back and now it seem as if I will never get it.

Just got my credit card statement. CIC Triple Advantage is charging me $12.95. I have no idea what this is for and have NEVER authorized this place to charge me for anything. What is scary, I have no idea how they got my credit card number. I am waiting for this place to open so I can get this off my card. If they won't do it, I will have to have this card destroyed to prevent them from any further charges.

I have been constantly billed from CIC Triple Advantage and i dont even get the service and i never even signed up for it i would like to cancel as soon as possible this is BS if you know where im coming from. I am very pissed off i cant even close an account because CIC keeps billing me.

I was highly disgusted when I found out that this company had the nerve to charge my checking acct for a free service. I will most definitely call and dispute this charge! Who ever did it will find out that i don't play any games.

As advertised in the TV, I thought I signed up to obtain a free credit report.

I actually obtained my credit report. Unfortunately one month later I found out that it was not free and I was part of well elaborated "Legal Scam" my credit card was charged 12.95.

I called 877-4816825 and they told my I have signed up for a credit monitoring account. I never did, well that is the "SCAM" I though I never did, but they have elaborated a perfect "LEGAL SCAM" that you do not realized it until they charge your credit card.

I called that number 877-481-6825 and they cancelled my account that I never concisely signed for. Be careful, even when you you take extra cautions as I tough I did.

When i received my statement I was surprised to see a bill of $12.00 from CIC triple advantage, i called the credit company they said the billing dispute dept. is closed, then i called the triple credit 1800# but they were also closed, so i want to figure out what kind of company is triple advantage, to my surprise it was when I went to the free credit report which it says free, I did not authorized them to charge it on my account. I filled up all the question they are asking but never signed up to be charged.

After checking my "free" credit report, I now find that I am being charged monthly at twelve bucks a crack for some sort of credit monitoring BS.

They must have inserted some small print when I agreed to pay for my credit score.

I signed up for free credit report in October of 2006 - I decided I did not want it because I did not like their service and cancelled my account in dec of 2006 so I thought, the problem is they continue to charge me $12.00 a month for a service I cancelled and do not want - I called them twice and they say each time I call that they have to record of my calling to cancel my account. I still can not seem to get my money back from this company.

We just discovered 2 charges of $12.95 for Feb. and March. We are trying to check further back. I called the company and they wanted my ss# to cancel. I didn't give it to them. I am calling my bank tomorrow. They are taking it out of our checking account as a debit transaction. I don't know how they got our numbers. What a scam!
