just going through a 4 month process of getting my refund. Been dealing with Peter Frivaldi and sent me to the account manager Loudres Torres. Loudres Torres does not have a contact number of course and is unreachable via telephone. Her email address is pretty much useless as the rest of the company is. She doesn't respond to any of her emails. I sent her multiple emails and just forwards them on for other people to handle. I.e. Peter Frivaldi. Peter has been the most professional at this point at returning calls and answering calls and emails. No one else has.
Steve Copeland who is the Director is not doing anything other than sitting on his ###. Lieing to me yesterday about being on a meeting; so he picks up the phone to see who it is, yea right, and said he would call me back on my 714 area code number. He knew my number off the top of his head. Because he must not answer it and has it blocked. He picked up his phone because i dialed him from a Arizona number. Gotcha ###. Unexpected for him so he doesn't call me back. Now i call him today, picks up but doesn't say anything then hangs up. Call him back twice and get the voicemail. Left a voicemail and email simultaneously. called a 4th time and he picked up knowing who it was and told me to take legal action for my refund that THEY STILL HAVE NOT PROCESSED. Which Steve said last month he would look into. Which i bet is a f**king lie.

After reading all the above comments I am confussed. Some say they are scams and other say they are not. I just completed the Stage 1 remote phase and moving into stage 2. They just completed a background and credit check for me and said i was approved to move on to the 4day ccna camp in Cali. They want me to pay lodgeing/meals-$99/day, CCNA-$250, and CCNP-$600. I don't know if i should go ahead with this, any advise...

Very misleading this company. They said they would find you a job but the truth is they will just tell you to post your resume to all the job search engines on the net. Once you're done with the program, they will keep harassing you if you are looking for a job while they specifically put on their site that they will help you find a job.

I applied for the internship and of course was accepted into stage 1 ( like I'm pretty sure everyone else is). I paid my $95 and after reading the about the program more thoroughly I discovered this site and many others like it. I decided I wanted to bail out so I emailed Patrick Pule for a refund. He gave it to me no questions asked.
It's not really a scam. It's more marketing tricks. Everything you need to know is in fine print. I learned my lesson though.
OK... Here goes... ANY company that says they are giving traing away for FREE and then says it cost $95... is LYING!
Hi everyone. I can only speak on my experiences with LAN/WAN Pros. I just got back from the 7 day CCNA/CCNP boot camp. I am so stoked. I got more hands on training in 3 days at LAN/WAN Pro then 2 weeks of training at Global Knowledge. And Global Knowledge cost me over $5000 as compared to about $900 with L/W Pros. The staff was very professional and Ray Choi, our trainer, is one of the most intelligent Network Engineers I've ever come across. I must be honest though. You need to have some basic Cisco IOS and networking knowledge or else you will get over whelmed. They have you doing advanced labs on day one. So this is not for the faint of heart. You have to study your ###-off so sleep is at a minimum. Because the game plan is to get you at a minimum CCENT certified. Their labs and study material is on point and trimmed of all the fat, so you get to the core knowledge of Cisco 1&2 at a rapid pace. Again they present you with the labs, lectures and cert preps, but it basically will come down to you and how much you want this. This was a great decision for me because it has expedited my process of getting my CCNP without making me a paper cert. I am so syked that I now know VLANS, STP, VTP and how to set up a Frame Relay and understand the concepts behind them.
I think the camp was great and has helped me so much in training and getting my certifications and would recommend this program to people that are able to handle all the course work and test taking.

After almost two years, I decided to find out whether Tech Pros Group went out of business or change their name. I went to Google and typed "tech pros group." Surprise! Their website comes out first, and second this complaint board. I guess Steve Copeland is still stealing money from people all over the country.
Steve Copeland also stole money from me. Almost two years ago, on my search for training, I found TPG on career builder, I applied, etc. I travelled all the way to CA from NJ. During the orientation, Steve Copeland let us know that they cancelled the program. He proposed to give us a lab, and after the lab, he'd give us the exam questions and answers. Since I had just obtained my MCSE by studying my ars off and I was searching for more hands on training, I reluctantly accepted to do the one-day lab and then train myself for the CCNA at their premises. However, they never gave me a CCNA lab. They gave me the questions, but I decided to go for a CCNA training and go back to NJ. I'm not a mediocre professional who memorizes the answers to pass the test and then claim I know. That's not me. So, I didn't go that route.
As of today, Steve Copeland hasn't given me money back from the tests he charged me for and I didn't take. There were some other charges that I needed reimbusement as well. I can't remember.
I filed a complaint with the deparment of education in CA, and they said that their department was going to be shut down. I sent all the information to the education division at Cisco and Microsoft. Hopefully, they did their thing.
Yep Steve, that's Morgan Stoller alright; there is a match with his video testimonial on their website. Looks like he was the "right candidate" and got a great job through Tech Pros Group; I am pretty sure he is NOT paper certified.

I googled tpg because I myself came across them two and a half years ago. I was curious if they were still around and how they were doing. To my amazement, I came across this! Not sure what is true or not, but like a previous poster said, everything is a business. If(keyword here) you walk away from their program with all those certs that i recall, the 20K will come easy, presuming you know the material, not the answers to test q's.
But then again, if you are just a paper-cert, then you got ripped, and people who hire will see right through your countless certs...
Well so far I'm only a week into stage 1 in this program. I am having fun with it. I do have an associates in computer information science and am (A+, NET+ certified). The support i have been getting has been great so far.

Don't panic Deep, I also applied and I am happy I did; it just makes logical sense to me. I came across the testimonial (copied and pasted from the internet) below and I heard that Tech Pros Group has a current placement rate of over 90%. They had some issues prior to 2007 when their placement rate was only 60%. They didn't have stage 1 free training back then and I think that now they have a solid system in place. They keep referring to the "right candidate" on their website www.lanwanprofessional.com and they discourage you from applying if you answer "No" to one of their 5 questions. Anyways, good luck to you.
Prior to enrolling in the Tech Pros Group LAN/WAN Engineer program, I was not completely convinced with the training methods. After graduating from the program, I could not possibly be any more satisfied with the quality of the training!

i was stupid enough to pay for all the training...i paid for application, registration, books and xams also...i didnt know that in the beginning...i didnt check over the internet...i was desperate 2 get the job..even i cleared their initial xals then they charged me for some xams 1000$ in total...now i am reading all this ...it sucks...not kool at all...i was working in fast food place to save that money..and i need my money back..is there any way to get my money back guys...i heard abt claim in court ...i need help...

Prior to my involvement with Tech Pros, I had no true IT experience. I had graduated from college burnt out and directionless. Grad school plans had fallen through and I had to find a career I would like.
It seems so obvious in hindsight: I've always felt drawn to computers. With my CCNA little brother, I had been playing with computers and my home network (9 computers and peripherals) for years and troubleshooting my- and my family's computers, though I had never taken a computer course. So I started looking for a new job and an affordable training program and found Tech Pros and their offer to train me up in a growing IT field to a mid-level position more quickly and making more money than through a doctorate program. I applied and was confident that if it was right I would make it. I did.
Tech Pros' course, as I experienced it, was refreshingly designed to teach the skills actually used without all the "extras" that one finds in textbooks or classes. The staff at Tech Pros at the camp, in remote support and in communication were helpful and friendly. Tech Pros' service was perfect for someone like me, a college graduate wanting to get into IT but not knowing how due to not having a technical background or training. And it's perfect for people already in a career to learn how to advance, professionally and technically.
The two weeks of camp were an incredible high. I was so high on excitement and adrenaline for two weeks straight that it took me a week afterward to get out of adrenaline withdrawal. I finally made it to the end and here's my thoughts
I have paid all the Admin fees, just starting Phase I - so far so good
TGP is a business... in the business of making money... they are not doing it to improve the world, or help out the underdog. They are doing it for money, and i cant blame them for making money... or at least trying.
They get there money one of 2 ways,
1 - you pass everything, get a job, and they take 19% (15-19k ish)
2 - you fail, drop out, whatever... and you owe the 20k for training... (which I'm sure is in the fine print but there not to up front about)
so there making 20k a year off of every successful OR not successful "student" .
Sounds like a business to me.
What gets me is, why do i need TGP... I could buy the books myself for less then all the Fee's. From what I understand you get these paperback lab books, a boot camp in Cali, and a t-shirt. I could also get a T-shirt and lab books and still be under the cost of the fees... so the question is - "is a 2 weeks boot camp worth all these fees?"
I would like to know if:
Someone went through this boot camp and was NOT satisfied with all it had to offer
-If anyone had gotten a Job because of this
- and if anyone started with NO IT background
I will probably take advantage of Phase I, a boot camp elsewhere can cost 5K + ... but as for Phase II... either way I'm loosing $20k. I would rather spend it on training, tutors, even a 5k boot camp...
The final Kicker is that a job is not guaranteed (correct me if I'm wrong). Even the people saying good things about TGP didn't say they landed a job... just X number of phone calls or interviews.
So final thoughts are:
-I'm more convinced its a badly run company then a Fraud
-Phase I... I will take full advantage of
-but Phase II... I could do better for 20k
and if anything I said was untrue... Call me out on it. I'm not here to lie I'm just here to help everyone understand who they're putting their trust, money, and future into.

Glad I came upon this site. I applied to their Careerbuilder posting and got their email with the disclosure. I had some questions and called them this morning, left message and still waiting to here from them. After seeing this, I will not even fill out the form, let alone send them money. I wonder if I will hear from them by Monday, their deadline.

So let me get this right TPG has a proprietary Certification (CMNA) what a joke. It is the same thing they did in my training and they are just renaming it. I think you guys need to get a job and start setting up networks (FOR REAL) and then post your comments here about your training. Please stop wasting time with this crap. You are still remembering questions to the MCSA to PASS IT. SO until that changes and you actually KNOW something GET REAL. This guy who posted a review may have gotten 5 call backs, but when they find out he really doesn’t know ANYTHING things will change. I know of someone speaking HIGHLY of TPG who “Graduated” and is doing PC repair. Come on.

The information posted above is inaccurate and misleading. I am currently in stage 1 and my experience so far has been more than positive.
I felt the need to clarify the false information posted by “Lucky”. I paid for 3 hands-on lab guides; I did not pay for the materials from www.safaribooksonline.com; these materials were provided to me by Tech Pros Group free of charge.
The CMNA (hands-on certification) is on the contrary very useful; from my understanding, its purpose is to back up the Microsoft MCSA certification to ensure that the stage 1 candidates are not MCSA paper certified. Furthermore I knew about the CMNA exam before I applied (it is disclosed on their disclosure document).
I also found a review on the internet from a recent candidate who seems to have recently completed stage 2 with Tech Pros. I copied and pasted the review below, I hope it helps everyone.

No I passed every little thing I went through there and ended up getting a job and actually studied at www.skillsoft.com and www.mindleaders.com before going there and my main point is they don’t teach you FUNDEMENTALS about I.T. that you NEED in the real world.
The reason I post negative thing about this company is because they are a fraud. You are paper certified because there are many people in the field like myself who know A LOT more than you do and I am STILL paper certified.

You REMEMBERED ANSWERS TO AN exam that you should actually KNOW the answers to. Do you really think you are not paper certified?
You are still in the brainwash stage from Mr. Choi and Copeland. You don’t know what they say behind your back they are a bunch of crooks. I will admit Ray Choi is very smart. But the “Instructors” that I had were NOT. These comments are from people who have NOT gotten a job yet and don’t yet realize the CRITICAL BASIC FUNDEMENTAL lessons that are left out.

It seems that Drew Blood went to Tech Pros Group's 3 month camp back in 2006 (based on his comments on Tech Republic) and failed. I am currently in stage 1 of Tech Pros Group's new qualification structure (TPG stopped qualifying their candidates through a 3 month camp a long time ago).
My motto is: live in the present.

I just got back home to Ohio this evening after attending the 2 week tech "boot camp". My experience with Tech Pros Group was so positive that I felt compelled to get on here and make sure everyone else knows the truth. I’m doing this because I was very skeptical and cautious at first, and I wish someone had posted information like this for me to read at that time.
Nevermind the negative blogs, as that's a whole separate issue. The truth is that this company is completely professional and over the course of a 4 month period they completely transformed my IT career. After completion of all 3 stages of the program I now have 7 Microsoft certs, and I will be taking my CCNA this week as I'm sure to pass it after the hands on instruction I received at the camp. Furthermore, I can honestly say I am not paper certified. Even though you may use cert prep materials to help you obtain the initial certifications, the labs at the camp are very intense and bring all the knowledge together.

If you are serious about being a network engineer/admin, this company will help you obtain the skills needed in a very short amount of time. My advice is to buckle down and do the labs because the labs books are written by one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. I got a chance to meet and spend time with this individual at the camp, and the level of networking knowledge he has is simply amazing. If you follow and understand the labs, the written CMNA exam will be no sweat. Trust me, you want to work hard to be accepted into stage 2 of the program and give yourself a chance to attend the 2 week camp. I really didn't know it was possible to learn so much information in such a short time, but I severely underestimated the power of the human brain! The training staff goes out of their way to make sure you understand everything you need to know in order to build a Microsoft/Cisco network from the ground up. Like I said before, trust me, you want to be at this camp...
I would not be staying up late at night writing this if I didn't feel very strongly about the class that Tech Pros has shown me during my training. If you're are serious about getting out of your rut and actually getting paid what your worth in the IT field, then put the doubts to bed and do the program. You will be glad you did...

Once you get in the field and REALLY learn what you are doing you will find these guys are not Guru’s they are a bunch of idiots.
Your MCSA/MCSE is WORTHLESS until you LEARN something.
I went through the training and they don’t teach you what you need to know.
The program is flopped. They could teach you what you NEED to know but then you wouldn’t have enough time to “motivate me to jumpstart my certification process" from what Mike Cram said.
Give me a break dude, Wait till you do some interviews and get in the work place and you will find out all the BASIC stuff they DIDNT teach you, and you will see how WORTHLESS your certifications are.

When I was there none of the “Instructors” could tell me what the “Public Folders” were used for or how to use them. Let alone trying to SECURE an Exchange server. I mean you do have a MCSE (Exchange) and MCSE (Security) RIGHT?
Did they teach you ANYTHING ABOUT THAT? NO! Didn’t think so.
I am done for now I could go on about all the holes left out in the FUNDEMENTAL Training but I don’t care to type anymore. So please let us know once you actually start working on something how good the training was.

I would like to share my experience with Tech Pros for the the last 4 months as a candidate in LAN/WAN Engineer program!
I am excited to go further for stage 2 training.
Nothing is easy; we need to be dedicated, positive and intelligent at the same time.
Rome was not build in a day!
From day one, TechPros have answered my every single question regarding my stage 1 training as well as contract/ fees & expectations for this program.
At TechPros, Patrick Pule, my Candidate Relations Manager as well as Jason Brandenburg, Tech Support, have satisfied all my questions about the program and my future.
Not only that, they always try to understand and accommodate my needs as a student without any hesitation answering any question.
Replying the phone calls; they have never missed returning my calls. They replied my calls, most of the time on the same day or latest by the next business day!

I was looking for this opportunity for the longest; since I graduated with my Masters from Manhattan College. Even, they did not take this much interest to give me the skills, I needed to succeed. I was stuck with most profitable corporation like ExxonMobil.

About four months ago I signed up to Tech Pros and payed the initial $95.00 fee. Then I got a call from Peter Frivaldi and went through the initial interview. Afterwards I got "accepted" in to program, but ever since then I haven't received any follow ups from them; not even on how to get started. They haven't answered back any of my requests. TALK ABOUT A SCAM!
At first I was willing to go through their so called rigorous training program and pay the fees that would come afterwards, such as exams, books, and so forth. I don't think I'll ever get my money back. If it was ever intended for my education, it was only to teach me a valuable lesson: Always do your homework before committing to anything
