Unjustified Membership Charges Post Cancellation

I am writing to formally complain about continued charges to my account for a membership that I canceled three months ago. Despite my clear communication and confirmation of cancellation, I have been dismayed to find that my account continues to be debited for membership fees.

Here are the details of my case:

- Date of Cancellation: Oct 6

- Proof of Cancellation: see the attached pic

Despite this cancellation, my account has been charged until Jan 2024 after post the cancellation date. This is not only unacceptable but also raises serious concerns about your billing practices. I have attached copies of my bank statements highlighting these erroneous charges for your reference.

I request an immediate cessation of all further charges and a full refund of the amounts debited post-cancellation, totaling $240

If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will be forced to take further action, including disputing these charges with my bank and filing a complaint with relevant consumer protection agencies.

I trust you will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves.

Hi, I have called multiple times and left emails that I have timestamps to to freeze my membership back in 06 22 2023, they didn’t freeze my membership and kept charging the card that I was not aware of until I got a text that said I owe $327.

I am very angry at the situation, and now I want to cancel my membership and no one is picking up, I called the corporate phone number was sent to voice mail, and mailbox is full. Very unprofessional acts going on with this studio.

The club was closed cuz of COVID from end of March to beginning of June. I emailed them on May 16 to cancel my membership. They sent me a form to fill out and said I gotta pay for one more month cuz I didn't give 30 days notice. But they were closed since March and didn't say when they would reopen. I didn't fill out the form cuz I already told them I wanna cancel. They charged me in June and then again in July. I emailed them again and said I wanted to cancel and get a refund. They said I didn't fill out the form so they charged me. I told them twice I wanna cancel. I want my money back, $318 for the two payments they took.

Due to COVID19, Club Pilates closed in March and I couldn't use the facility, even though I had already paid for my March membership. To make sure they didn't keep taking money from my account, I had to freeze it. If I wanted to close my account, I had to give them 30 days notice, which seemed a bit unfair considering the pandemic. So, I froze my account and recently asked them to close it (with the 30-day notice). But guess what? They took out another payment because they said it was in the agreement that they had to bill me for my final month. I asked them to use the credit from March as my last payment, but they ignored my request. Instead, I got an email saying my account was closed. This feels like they're taking advantage of the pandemic situation. I had a credit on my account, and that's what they should have used for my last payment.
