Cincinnati Financial Corporation In November , my wife got hit by another car

In November , my wife got hit by another car. She wasn't to blame. I called Cincinnati the next day, and the adjuster came the day after. They made an estimate and were happy with our choice of repair shop. They sent all the necessary info to the repair facility, which used original parts. It was fast and easy, and I was pleasantly surprised!

Cincinnati Financial Corporation Cincinnati Financial Corporation, or CFC, has been quite disappointing in terms of customer service

Cincinnati Financial Corporation, or CFC, has been quite disappointing in terms of customer service. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with CSU and Debbie G, who are supposedly corporate billing analysts. They were unable to provide me with a clear breakdown of the prorated refund amounts that I was entitled to.

To make matters worse, they outright refused to provide any documentation to support their claims. All I received was a random number through email, which they insisted was the only receipt they could offer. It's absurd to expect customers to accept this random number as the correct amount without any further explanation or evidence of how the premium was calculated.

Considering the size and reputation of CFC, this level of unprofessionalism is simply unacceptable. It's disheartening to see such a large company fail to meet basic customer service standards.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation We had a big hail storm

We had a big hail storm. The next day, I saw a bunch of shiny white spots on the roof that looked like snow. It seems like the hail caused some granular loss. Cincinnati sent a third-party engineer/adjuster because our roof is steep. They said we don't have enough damage to make a claim. Meanwhile, our neighbors next door are all getting new roofs covered by their insurance. I'm really frustrated with Cincinnati. We'll definitely be searching for a different insurance company.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation They be canceling real fast and the bill be coming just a few days before it's due

They be canceling real fast and the bill be coming just a few days before it's due. My statement say it was made on Dec. 9th and gotta be paid by Jan. 1. I got it and sent out the payment on Dec. 28th. But they already sent a notice to cancel if they don't get the payment by Jan. 20th. This notice came on Jan. 11th. They don't think 'bout slow mail during the holidays and don't even bother callin' or sendin' a late notice. I been with 'em for years, but now I think they tryna get rid of customers who ain't makin' 'em money. It's so wrong to cancel a policy so quick after sendin' the first bill. I ain't even late.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation My experience was similar to Ian S in 2018

My experience was similar to Ian S in 2018...I tried dealing with the first claims adjuster that was rude and claimed he never received information that was sent. When I told him I'm trying to get this over with because the hospital bills caused my credit score to drop, he told me it was my fault for taking so long to get treatment and paperwork in! I asked for his boss and he told me he doesn't have one! When I called and got his boss, dealing with him isn't much better. First I was put off because he had a family emergency, then he forgot to call me the day he said he would so I emailed him again a week later. He finally called me 3-4 days later and made an offer that didn't even cover medical bills! He told ME if I "wanted" more money to call and negotiate the hospital bills! Like I just wanted to get hit by his client! The bills are $8600+ and he offered $8500! Even though he has upped the settlement, I'm not happy with the entire situation. I also am not trying to get over so I never called an attorney. Looks like I have no choice. Will also be contacting the NC Department of Insurance to file a complaint as well.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation Our new biz, which started a month before COVID hit, looked to CSU (CInFin's sub) for our ins needs in the summer

Our new biz, which started a month before COVID hit, looked to CSU (CInFin's sub) for our ins needs in the summer. Realizing the rates we were locked into were way too high compared to what other cos offered ($700/mo vs $80/mo for same policy), we decided to cancel. CSU sent an email to an email acct we didn't use, givin' us forms to fill out to cancel the policy (tellin' 'em wasn't enough for some reason). Instead of callin' or followin' up, CSU kept chargin' for the policy plus extra fees that more than doubled the amount owed from coverage. Our 1.5 mos of coverage more than doubled, owin' CSU $2,600. After callin' 'em (since they kept sendin' info to an email acct they got no response from), we tried to pay off the balance owed for coverage and discuss fees. They told us "Nothin' can be done" multiple times. So in the middle of a pandemic, this big co needed to collect the extra fees that doubled the costs owed by a small biz. FEES. Not policy coverage. FEES couldn't be discussed or resolved. Terrible co that's heartless. These are tough times we live in, cos need to respond to help each other. Not pull this garbage. Update: They sent us to a collection agency now.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation In December 2022, my roof was leakin'

In December 2022, my roof was leakin'. I called up my insurance company, which I've been with since 2003. I also got in touch with a roofer. The roofer told me that the roof had been leakin' for months, and you could see it from the wet boards in the attic. Some of them boards needed fixin'. He also mentioned that there was hail damage, 'cause the aluminum roof vents were all banged up and the shingles had lost some sand. But when the insurance guy came to check it out, he said there wasn't no hail damage, just heat damage, and he denied my claim. The roofer, on the other hand, said he could prove there was hail damage 'cause he found dented aluminum right next to the roof. So, I went ahead and got the roof replaced, and now I'm hopin' the insurance company will pitch in for the cost.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation I bought a life insurance policy from Cincinnati Financial Corporation in 2005 for $200,000

I bought a life insurance policy from Cincinnati Financial Corporation in 2005 for $200,000. The policy was supposed to last until 2025. I paid the quarterly premium through Autopay using my BBT account. However, in September , I became a victim of identity theft and had to change my checking account twice. It was a confusing time, and I completely forgot about the Cincinnati Life autopay.

To my surprise, without any notice, my premium payment was late, and in December, I received a letter stating that my policy was being terminated. I immediately contacted Cincinnati Life and explained the situation. They assured me that they would send me a form via email for me to fill out and return with the payment. They said that once I did that, my policy could be reinstated.

Unfortunately, I didn't hear anything further until February when I tried to make the next quarterly payment. I was told that my check was being returned, and my policy was terminated. This handling of the situation by Cincinnati Life feels dishonest, unfair, and possibly even illegal. Both the local agent and I have requested the reinstatement of the policy, but our request has been denied.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation I had a claim for water coming through my ceiling

I had a claim for water coming through my ceiling. The roofer thought it might be hail damage. The adjuster came later with an "engineer". Meanwhile, water kept coming through my ceiling. They denied the claim, saying there was no hail damage and that the water was due to maintenance. I only mentioned the water, not hail. The engineer's report had about 15 false statements, which I pointed out in an email. I also discovered that he took 395 pictures of our house! I asked for all the pictures, but many of them were unrelated to the claim. The adjuster didn't address the false statements or the pictures. He only said I could pay for my own assessment. I believe the adjuster didn't consider the facts and didn't do any assessment himself. He left before the engineer. I didn't see him on the roof, but he expected me to go up there. I'm not a roofer and don't think I should be on a roof. I think the engineer's report was fake, and the unrelated pictures invaded my privacy. My roofer was surprised when the engineer denied the claim. I don't think the adjuster did his job; he just went with what he was told without showing me the report.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation I'm tryin' to process a no-fault claim with the insurance of the driver who hit me and can't reach Aaron, the adjuster

I'm tryin' to process a no-fault claim with the insurance of the driver who hit me and can't reach Aaron, the adjuster. I called on 6/3/22 and didn't get a call back, so I called again on Wednesday (6/10/22) at 12:31 pm. He called back at 4:36 pm and left no message (I was workin'). I called again at 5:55 pm. Then I called at 8:38 am on Thursday (6/9/22) and left a voicemail sayin' I often work from 8:00 to 5:30 and askin' him to leave me a voicemail with any info/pictures I could give him or email. He didn't call me back on Thursday. He called today (6/10/22) at 3:29 pm (while I was workin') and left no voicemail. I then called at 4:52 pm and 4:53 pm today (6/10/22), but he didn't pick up. My own insurance agent also messaged me that they weren't able to reach the adjuster on two occasions. They said they'll keep reachin' out and let me know when they hear back. This message was from Wednesday (6/8/22) and they haven't mentioned the adjuster reachin' them back. Meanwhile, my trunk is still cracked open from the collision and it's hard to cover from rain and protect from damage/rust (I've tried taping garbage bags over the trunk and they keep fallin' off. I laid towels down in the trunk, but if there's a bad storm, that's not much help) - and the adjuster is simply not answerin' me, not leavin' voicemails, not sendin' text or askin' for my email. I'm requestin' voicemails and email communications for necessary info and a sped up claims estimate so I can actually get my repairs done. I'm also requestin' rental vehicle coverage.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation On March 10, we had a hail storm and I contacted my Home Insurance, Cincinnati Life, and started a claim

On March 10, we had a hail storm and I contacted my Home Insurance, Cincinnati Life, and started a claim. An adjuster made the decision that I did not have any damage to the roof and denied the claim. I recently had 3 roofers come and give estimates, and 3 said that I had hail and wind damage. I changed insurance companies to Auto Owners, and after a wind storm in March, I called and reported several shingles being blown off of the roof. They too said that I had hail damage from previous insurance and that they would only pay $149 after the deductible for the wind damage. All 3 roofers have said that insurance should be paying for both instances, hail under Cincinnati and wind under Auto Owners. I called Cincinnati, and they sent down an adjuster and a forensic engineer to inspect the roof. They both agreed that the roof needed to be replaced and that Cincinnati should pay for the damage in 2016. The engineer said that the damage happened in 2016/ I received word that Cincinnati was going to deny the claim again because I did not send in a refuted within 2 years of the initial denial. I took it that I did not have damage each time and depended on the adjuster to be the expert in this matter. I do not go up on the roof every time there is a storm. I have replaced several shingles for the wind damage. I have sent a rebuttal to both companies. I just want the companies to pay for the replacement of the roof. That is why I have insurance. No one informed me about a 2-year statute of limitations to refute a claim. Please investigate for me. I have a copy of the engineer's report. My agent is Janice G at *** in ***, Phone Number ***. She is my agent for both companies.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation On 10/22, I got into a accident

On 10/22, I got into a accident. The driver who caused the crash has Cincinnati Financial insurance. The accident caused a lot of damage, including my car, the driver's car, and another person's car. I got hurt pretty bad and it's been hard for me to keep my job, find a new car, and stay healthy. The insurance company has given my claim to three different adjusters, and I've had to leave a bunch of voicemails just to get a rental car. The adjuster on my case is only offering me less than $4000 for a new car, even though they sent me quotes for similar cars that cost around that much. I even sent them receipts for all the work I've done on my car, like fixing the suspension, body, transmission, tires, and brakes. But they still won't give me more money. They also said I can only have the rental car for two more days. I don't understand why they won't help me with my transportation and it's making my health worse and my job less stable. I really want a 2001 *** GS Supercharged 4D Sedan, but they won't replace it. It's listed for $4,046 and has 135,483 miles on it. It has a 6-cylinder supercharged engine, automatic transmission, and lots of features like air conditioning, cruise control, leather seats, and a power moonroof. It's being sold by *** in ***, OH, . I found this information on Cars.com on 08/24. The original price was $4,495, but they lowered it because of negotiation.

Cincinnati Financial Corporation On 8/20, I was in a car accident with a Cincinnati Insurance client

On 8/20, I was in a car accident with a Cincinnati Insurance client. The local police department investigated the accident and determined that Cincinnati Insurance was at fault. On 8/27, a Cincinnati Insurance agent contacted me about the accident. I told the agent that I wanted to make a diminished value [DV] claim for the damage to my vehicle. On 10/12, the agent offered me $150 for my DV claim. They said they used a calculator from a third-party company called Auto Source. I didn't accept the offer and the agent quickly sent me another offer of $443.83. I rejected that offer as well. On 1/6, I got my own DV report from DVCheck, another third-party company. According to DVCheck's report, my vehicle lost $2,700 in value immediately after the accident on 8/20. DVCheck used my vehicle identification number (VIN), options, and mileage to determine a pre-accident appraisal value of $11,950. This is the same method that Cincinnati Insurance and Auto Source used to determine a value of $12,408 before the accident. DVCheck compared my pre-accident appraisal to similar vehicles with the same mileage that had accident damage and were currently for sale. On 1/17, I submitted my DV report from DVCheck to Cincinnati Insurance. They responded by saying that they don't have to pay me anything for my DV claim because there are no Ohio Supreme Court rulings on DV. They also said that I don't deserve any money because I still own my vehicle and haven't suffered any loss. But if that's the case, why did Cincinnati Insurance offer me a value for my vehicle that I lost immediately after the accident? Their only explanation was that they were doing it in "Good Faith." They also said that since their adjuster didn't personally see my vehicle, they couldn't accept the report. Auto Source, which Cincinnati Insurance used, appraised my vehicle at $12,408 without seeing it, and DVCheck, which also didn't see my vehicle, appraised it at $11,950. Throughout the negotiation process, Cincinnati Insurance insisted that I didn't deserve any money and their final offer was $443.83. Then, on 2/12, a Cincinnati Insurance agent contacted me again and said, "After further review and in an effort to settle the Diminution of Value claim on your 2016 *** we are increasing our offer to $665.78." The agent said they adjusted the values in the third-party calculator they used to come up with this new offer. Cincinnati Insurance has changed the values in the "calculator" multiple times during this process to offer me higher amounts. This clearly shows that Cincinnati Insurance knows my vehicle lost a significant amount of value immediately after the accident, yet they don't allow me to counter their offer with facts. If I didn't suffer a DV loss immediately after the accident, Cincinnati Insurance should have said so back on 8/27 and not offered me any value. Instead, they acknowledged the loss and then changed their language to benefit themselves. Cincinnati Insurance only follows the rules they set and provides a different set of rules for the consumer or victim. I hope anyone considering Cincinnati Insurance is aware of their unfair business practices. Claim #
