CertaPro Painters review: Certapro painters of middletown and kingston

CertaPro Painters of Middletown & Kingston (NY) have been a nightmare for us. They are unprofessional, unreliable, hire subcontractors who are unable to communicate with the customer, were unqualified (1 out of the 4 people sent to paint the exterior of our home was a painter - an interior painter), and were unprepared - no power washer, ladders, nor paint sprayer. They don't stand behind the customer. We contracted with CertaPro of Middletown & Kingston in August, 2020. It initially cost us over $5300.00 to have the exterior of our home painted. The work was sloppy and incomplete. When we contacted the owners, they ignored our complaints. After several months of persistent phone calls, texts, and emails the owners sent a very nasty man who threatened the landscaper working at our home. We once again contacted the owners to complain. Finally, after several more weeks of our complaints they agreed to have the poor quality and incomplete exterior paint job redone, but for an additional $1000.00. We agreed to pay. They sent different subcontractors who did not adequately prep the exterior of our house before spraying the paint and did not complete the job. Approximately a month later we began noticing paint bubbles around the garage area of our home. After several months of contacting the owners they refunded $1000.00 to us to have the garage area repainted. Since that time more paint bubbles and peeling paint have appeared on other areas of the exterior of our home. The owners dragged their feet to look at the problem and refused to fix this problem unless we paid them an additional $3000.00. We contacted corporate CertaPro, but only received more aggravation instead of resolution. We have been dealing with unsatisfactory work on our home by CertaPro for 3 years with the only resolution being for us to pay more money to have the problem they created fixed.
