CD Japan is usually pretty good, but my recent experience was a bit of a letdown. I made an order for over $100 on September 26th, and waited patiently for it to arrive. However, 12 business days later, I received an email saying that one of the discs I ordered would take an additional 3-4 weeks to fulfill the order.

I was a bit frustrated by this news, so I sent an email to CD Japan asking if I could switch the item or cancel it altogether. Unfortunately, they told me that neither of those options were possible and marked the order as in shipping progress. I was disappointed that they couldn't accommodate my request, and it felt like a very mechanical and impersonal response.

Despite this setback, I'm still hoping that my order will arrive soon. However, if it doesn't, I plan to submit a complaint to PayPal. Overall, I think CD Japan is a decent option for buying Japanese music and merchandise, but they could definitely improve their customer service.

However, I had already made a payment for the chargeback and deleted my card details.

Despite this, the seller continued to request my bank details and attempted to duplicate deductions from my account. They even continued to request my bank details after I reported the issue to my bank. To make matters worse, the seller was quite rude and unhelpful throughout the entire process, even going so far as to tell me to report their shop.

At one point, I was so frustrated that I considered filing a police report as a scammer case. However, I was eventually able to resolve the issue by reporting the problem to my bank and ignoring further emails from the seller.

Overall, my experience with CDJapan was mixed. While my first purchase went smoothly, my second purchase was marred by confusion, frustration, and unhelpful customer service. I would recommend using caution when making purchases on this site and being prepared to deal with potential issues.

I've been a CDJapan customer for a long time, like 10 years, since 2012. They're my go-to store for J-Pop/Idol goods like CD's, DVD's, Blu-ray's, and books. I always get excellent service from them, and I'm happy to say that I've never had any problems with any of my orders.

The items always arrive in good time, and I normally select a delivery option that lets me track the order. The packaging is always well done, so I've never had any issues with any of my orders. I'm really happy with the service I get from CDJapan.

The shipping prices have gone up recently because of Covid and the crisis in Ukraine, but they still seem reasonable to me. I'm happy to pay a little extra to get my items delivered safely and on time.

I've also used their proxy service, which I've found extremely useful when I'm trying to source a rare item. It's great to know that I can rely on CDJapan to help me find what I'm looking for.

Overall, I'm really happy with CDJapan, and I'm looking forward to another 10+ years with them!

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with CDJapan. Their customer service has always been pretty bad, but now it's just downright terrible. I mean, I ordered over $1000 worth of stuff from them like three years ago, and I still haven't received any of it because of "COVID". And now, when I finally got a shipping notification, they won't even let me change my address because I moved to a different country. What kind of nonsense is that?

And to make matters worse, when I asked for a refund, they only offered me store credit. I mean, come on, guys. I don't want to buy anything from your store ever again. Why would I want store credit? And when I asked if they could just refund my bank account, they completely ignored me. It's like they don't even care about their customers.

Honestly, I would recommend avoiding CDJapan altogether. If you're looking to buy Japanese items, there are plenty of other places to go. Playasia and YesAsia are both great options, and they actually treat their customers with respect. Plus, they have a much better selection of items than CDJapan anyway.

So yeah, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. CDJapan is just not worth the hassle.

But April 1 rolled around and I tried to order somethin' new from them and BOOM they banned the Philippines from gettin' shipments. I was like, WTF man? So I hit up DHL Japan and PH to see if they knew anything about it, but they had no clue and were as confused as I was. I tried telling CDJapan that my country wasn't banned, but they wouldn't listen and just kept givin' me the runaround, ya know? I even asked if they could just ship it to a Japanese address, but they didn't even respond, man. Their customer service was definitely lacking some chill vibes, so I'm thinkin' I might have to hit up Amazon next time.

I found CDJapan on the interwebs back in 2016 and have been using it for buying some fine jazz CDs. Y'all gotta agree with me, this is the best store online for buying discs and stuff!
Let's talk about the main features - they offer a wide selection of jazz CDs. Ain't that sweet? Also, the prices are great and the service is just awesome! They pack your precious discs so nicely and dispatch them at the right time too.

I gotta say, I had a pretty frustrating experience with CDJapan. Okay, so I was searching high and low for this CD/DVD combo that I've been wanting since 2012. Finally, I stumbled upon it at CDJapan on May 17th and I was over the moon. But then, on the 21st, I received an email that left me feeling down in the dumps. They had to cancel my order 'cause they didn't have anything in stock and couldn't find it anywhere else. What?! If only they had been straight up with me from the get-go instead of keeping the item listed as available. Like, why do they do that? Do they normally just wait until they can't find the item and cancel the order? It just seems downright dishonest to me. Needless to say, I ain't comin' back.

At least they didn't charge me for it. Though, some other reviewers have been complainin' that CDJapan has been makin' unauthorized transactions on their credit cards. I mean, that's just messed up. I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on my bank statements.

All in all, it's just frustrating when you think you finally found what you've been lookin' for, only to have it snatched away from ya. CDJapan might have a wide selection, but if they can't keep up with inventory and be honest about stock availability, then what's the point?

I love CDJapan. They are the best! I always get great customer service when I shop with them. Their sales are always good and the prices are reasonable. If you like anime, Japanese music, video games, manga, or anything related to Japanese pop culture, then you need to check them out. I have been shopping with them for about 10 years now and they have always been great. They always send you emails with news and updates on new products and promotions. They also give you coupons and other bonuses throughout the year. The bonus points they give you for your birthday and other special events are awesome. It's easy to sign up for their membership program and you get bonus points all year long.

i tried to use cdjapan.co.jp & they did something really shady. all I did was give them my credit card details but then they went and charged me for the shipping fee without even asking me first. it's like they just took my money without even telling me. I'm so mad about it, and it's totally not okay. I don't think anyone should order from them - they're not trustworthy and who knows what other shady stuff they're doing behind the scenes. Save yourself the trouble and find a different company to do business with.
